Does the G8 Plus accommodate two SIM cards and a SD card at the same time?
Confliciting information:
YES: https://support.motorola.com/uk/en/...moto-g-family/moto-g8-plus/documents/MS145147
NO: https://support.motorola.com/uk/en/...moto-g-family/moto-g8-plus/documents/MS146148
From searching, I think the answer is NO but can someone who has one of these please confirm that ?

The answer is no.
At least for my moto g8+ but i think its all the same. You can use sim 1 + sim 2 or sim1 + sd.
It is just one sim card cradle that will fit 2 sims or 1 sim + sd.
I must say that in the past, on other phones I always used 2 sims + extra storage but this phone has enough internal storage. Haven't been in need for more yet...

Didn't see another thread about this in here:

Apparently many SIM cards only use single-DES-56 encryption. Anyone know if there's a way to tell what any given SIM card uses?

I did read about the SIM card hack. According to the answer when asked what a user should do, the researcher said that if your SIM card is more than 3 years old, you should replace it. I went to a T-Mobile (USA) store and asked for a new SIM replacement, free of charge, because mine was over 3 yrs old.
It would still be nice to find a way to verify this, as who's to say that T-Mobile doesn't want to get rid of their old SIM card stock, and gives you an old vulnerable one?
I am using Huawei phone first time and it's really a awesome phone before Huawei phone I am a Samsung user, I want to give you a suggestion please
Use dedicated slot for card in Huawei phones because I have seen most of Huawei phones have no dedicated slot only this little addition in your phones you can get attention from lot of customers.
i didn't get what you said.
Op for you information Honor / Huawei HH do have dedicated SD micro card slots.
Some devices are three slots 2 for your network cards 1 for your SD micro, and you have the Hybrid as in this device takes 1 sim and 1 SD micro card or 2 Sims only..
But what I think your trying to say is dedicated SD card slot where you don't have to keep removing sim trays Is this correct?

Hello, this is somewhat of a noob question, I just bought a j7 prime g610m on ebay, which is supposed to be dual SIM, I just received the phone and the Sim tray with the second space for a Sim (the one with the sdcard) is blocked , the phone indeed shows 2 imeis when I put *#06* on the dialer , I can also somewhat see the contacts inside the phone, but, I saw that it doesn't says duos on the back, so I'm baffled to what could it be, did I got a single Sim phone with a dual SIM rom or did I got a dual SIM phone with the wrong Sim tray?
Thanks in advance! :good:
One thing I could do on my old One plus 6T was to buy a dual sim tray from ebay and it handled it well. Is this phone dual SIM capable? I can never find out information.
AJ
Unfortunately not.

No, of course not.
Download the PDF user manual.
Instructions clearly describe a slot released by a pin, which details one MicroSd and one MicroSIM slot.
There are no other options described for additional SD or SIM cards, and the instructions are clearly illustrated.
I bought "Realme X50 Pro, 12 + 256GB, Dual SIM, Rust Red (RMX2075-red-12-256)" on Amazon.es.
However, it arrived with a single SIM specification:crying:
The physical SIM slot looks like a Dual SIM slot, is there a way to make it available?
Will it work if I burn another ROM?

在中国,这款手机是双卡双待的 没问题,但是听说欧洲版本和中国版本系统不能互刷?或者你可以试试使用twrp刷入中国大陆的版本试试
Hello,
I asked Realme support several questions. The Chinese versions are indeed dual SIM. The Europe version is simple SIM. The Chinese version is materially incompatible for operation in Europe. Flashing Europe Rom on a phone made for China will not work.

Remove the SD slot to see if it has two bays, one covered and the other not, this is because the operators do not want competition, but if you release the bootloader and install the global ROM that bay will be active and the only thing to do is remove carefully the plastic so that it can accept another sim.
