Looks like they actually fixed the audio crackling issue that was common on certain games. Maybe they fixed the audio buffer issue for good!

Does anyone have the boot file to root with Jan update?
Here. No TWRP, just root (patched with the latest stable Magisk 20.2). Flashed successfully on my phone.

I will remove it in a few days.
Thanks!
I noticed that my phone now reboots when I attach the 360° camera. Worked just fine before this update. Anyone else has this issue?

In my experience, this issue does exist when the battery drains down - it's been happening on my phone regardless of the Android version, ever since I bought it over a year ago. I believe the threshold is somewhere around 60-65% or so. Above that, no problem with reboots. I assume it's some kind of a hardware issue, but frankly, it doesn't bother me much...

Yep. Been said before. More than once...

I've been reading articles about a recent major update to Google Maps, but so far nothing appears to have changed on my phone (or tablet, for that matter) and the Play Store tells me I've got the latest.
Anyone know what gives with this? Does anyone have the new version?

Good for a laugh first thing this morning lol
Thanks. Didn't realize they maintained different "versions" of the app targeted to specific O/Ss and devices. Hey -- my app runs on anything from 2.3 up!

The lastest update really does suck !
I was on the free way, but it showed my position on the street next to the free way. It had never happened before the update. So I don't recommend people to update. And my GPS signal is pretty good (16/25 sat.), so there is nothing wrong with my gps, but the app itself.
Agreed, if you can keep from updating, definitely hold out. Mine wouldn't keep up with my position in navigator and it was telling me to turn in directions which weren't even possible. They've introduced some major bugs with this update. I reverted back to an older version and I'm good to go now.

Just got a new update installed on my V10. New software version is H90021v. The only thing that I immediately see as different is "Wi-Fi Calling" in the notification bar

I'm not. Everything seems ok for me. Cell reception appears a little better in a couple of my local bad spots

I'm gonna factory reset, maybe that'll fix it.
The factory reset did the trick, this wi-fi calling is smooth!
I have a AT&T LG V-10 LG-H900 and my phone updated late Monday afternoon. I agree that so far "WiFi-Calling" is the most notable change. So far so good

They also patched some of the quadroot exploits
The 3 standouts are WiFi calling (and its beatdown on battery if enabled); July security patch; my phone is noticeably snappier, especially considering its performance was perfectly acceptable before the update.

I just updated and now my Snapchat camera looks horrible! It was so perfect and clear before.
Any way I can download and install manually?
Hello everyone,
Figured I'd throw this out there. Ive been experiencing very poor battery performance with latest OTA_Beta_4.
Before I revert back to something else I wanted to see if anyone else has had the same results?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
I am experiencing the same issue, thinking about reverting too.
That's normal when it comes to beta releases. They usually have more logging going on in the background causing more drain.

Likewise, haven't had this bad of standby in the past 6 months I've owned the phone. Ever since Beta 4, everything else is the same as before but my SOT has dropped by almost 50%. Also did a cache wipe a few days ago, so far no changes

Nothing at all my guess your apps are draining your battery use a battery monitor like Gsam or something to monitor the drain.
can anyone tell me if battery performance is still okay or does the battery need replacement already?
had the oneplus 6 since november 2018.

It looks fine to me. I've been experiencing battery issues as of six days ago, mine suddenly will only last not even 8 hours. The day before it was fine.
Has anyone else experienced this? It's so sudden that it seems like a battery issue (like one of the cells dying), but it also seems to be running hotter than usual, which makes me think it's an OS issue? I'm considering doing a clean flash of a different OS and seeing if it solves the problem, but if I DO need a new phone, I'd rather just keep all my data as-is.
On previous phones I'd just flash and restore a backup if needed, but considering we can't do nandroid backups on OP6 it kind of removes that option for me...
Anyone else experiencing battery issues?
Worked out my issue (in case anyone else cares): It was the RAM boost feature. Turning it off instantly restored by battery life!

Still looks good. Easy to replace when things do get worse.

Got it two days ago....
Installed this last night. Went for a walk in the morning, no GPS data.
Was working fine yesterday before the update.
Using gnss app, does not show any satellites.
Anyone having issues with GPS?

I have not received the latest FW in NLD for GW4 yet. Now GPS on watch is working fine, hope update won't break mine too.
I installed the GNSS (thanks for the tip) and although I reveived a remark that the app wouldn't work on the GW4, it perfectly does. I will use it to check after the FW update.
Please do report your issue to Samsung. Easy way is through the Samsung Members app.
(Support - Send Feedback - Error reports). That way Samsung is aware and they can investigate and solve when indeed a hard-/software issue of the GW4.
After a few restarts, of the watch and phone (note 20 ultra) it seems to acquire location. Need to test it with a few walks. I'll let you know how it goes
