I have been following this website which upload all of Gcam versions. Recently a developer from the Russian forum 4pda (scrubber) uploaded APK which fixes all the problems of portrait mode and HDR+ for the selfie and back camera.
The Gcam doesn't require any configuration it's already set to the Nexus 6p model which gives the best details and the outcome of the pictures is amazing looks like it was taking with Pixel 2.

I've been following these ports for a long time too and I'm currently using "scrubber_GCAM_5.1.018_25". It has portrait mode on both the front and back cameras and works like a charm. Plus you don't have to configure anything since it's already done. So I suggest you try using that version.
I'm using the one you are suggesting and yes it has portrait mode but what about lens blur;

There can either be Portrait mode or Lens blur. If you really want Lens Blur, then the stable version that I used before, for Lens Blur was "GCam5.1.014-Arnova8G2-v9.1".
It produced some great results with Lens Blur and ofcourse with HDR+. Tho it depends on what config you use in the settings.
Why rear camera shows maximum resolution as 12 megapixel instead of 16 megapixels.
Please add the advance setting in ths app,so that we can swap between portrait n blur mode.

Its because google pixel 2 has 12 mega pixel in its rear camera resolution
Scrubber's versions were made to work on his Xiaomi Mi Max 2. It's a "install and forget" app, that's why you don't see an option to enable/disable Portrait Mode and probably the reason why you can't go past 12 MP on the back camera (that's the max resolution on his phone).
Try Arnova's 5.1.018_v1.5 instead. You will need to configure the app so HDR+ works without any issues. I have the OnePlus 3 and for that reason can't tell you which settings are the best for this phone, but try the ones compatible with the Nokia 8:
Model: Nexus 6P (or Pixel 2XL for less noisy, and less detailed, photos)
Config camera HDR+: Pixel 2017 Zsl Hdr+ (ZSL available with Auto HDR, not with forced HDR/HDR enhanced)
HDR+ parameters: High
Or try some very stable, but limiting, settings:
Model: Nexus 6P (or Pixel 2XL)
Config camera HDR+: Nexus 6 Auto
HDR+ parameters: Default
Some of the settings inside the "advanced" menu may not be compatible with this device. If the app starts crashing, you might be using incompatible settings or have enabled some incompatible feature.
This port is always evolving, so with time Arnova's 5.1.018_v1.5 will became "old". Keep trying his apks and the ones from B-S-G. Or just use these "install and forget" apks... they work too.
By the way, I have this telegram channel for update alerts. When I upload new apks to the page linked by @sayedam, I also post them on the telegram channel.

While using @Arnova8G2 's latest mod......GoogleCamera-PixelMod-Arnova8G2-5.1.018-v1...... Just like all previous versions i have tested. For Nokia 6 although this camera gives exteme details and good photos with any configuration we use but one and only issue comes that front camera picture whether its Normal capture or portrait mode from front camera have blue tint on pictures
Otherwise this camera is the great in picture quality.

Sorry i was editing the post and you answered really quick... Brother its pixel mod v1 ...its previous version also had same issue.. I have tested all the previous versions gcmod5 as well.
For gc5mod the pictures from front camera contain no details i.e. look like 0.2 MP pics. But also they have no tint.... Right now i am again checking the mod u link to confirm it...
Give me just 120 seconds to confirm it

The GCam you linked behaves like this here on Nokia 6
Back camera normal mode.... Black screen
Back camera portrait mode... Works perfect
Front camera normal mide... No tint.. but pic quality is like 0.2 MP camera
Front camera portrait mode... No timt... Same low pic quality
To be honest pixel mod is best only tint is the issue there. That's all

@Arnova8G2 Is there a way to circumvent the 12MP limitation and get PDAF to work since the Nokia 6 has a 16MP PDAF sensor with a nicely working Camera2 API?

Nokia 6 has 16 mp back camera and 8mp front with camera 2 APi enabled by default
Your camera is already awesome but if more resultion can be supported, we will be very very thankful to you brother

For photos? I am not sure. My LG V30 supports 16mp with the mod I made so that's weird.

Portrait sometimes not work just switch to back cam and switch to front cam in portrait mode will work back.

I have tested too many times on Mcaosp Rom with derp kernel on this patch front camera
HDR+ no black image even I review the photos and come back no any issue or Extreme lowlight . but sometimes on portrait gave black image just switch to back cam and switch to front back HDR+ will work again.

I did some shots with the Poco x4 pro stock camera but the quality is not quite good because the pictures are like blurred with no focus even if you do manual.

Open UI Setting/ Go to setting/ advance / google awb mode options / turn on AWBGains
And then set Google AWB on UI Setting to Auto
This will fix the Green photo problem

Good Gcam, but is your video cam working?
edit: I changed Video Mode in Stream Configuration to realme 30 fps and miui back and video cam worked.

Try enabling and disabling "Google Auto white balance" sometimes it works with enabled sometimes with disabled
Hi. I don't want to start a new topic, but it's about the camera, so I'm writing here. I often shoot at night for a long exposure. In the basic camera application in PRO mode, you can choose UW or WIDE optics. When using WIDE, however, only 15s exposure can be selected, 30s exposure is not possible. In UW mode, the exposure length can be set to 30s, but the night quality of UW against WIDE is terrible, practically unusable for me. Don't you know why it is not possible to choose a 30s exposure on this phone in PRO mode for WIDE optics? I looked at friends' other Poco and Xiaomi phones and the option is normally there. Thanks for the reply.
