Why are no developers developing the Cyanogen mod 9 Android 4.x.x for the galaxy tab 7.0 plus WIFI only version? Its a real nice device and it will be awesome to have CM9 for this device. I believe the galaxy tab 7 plus is being ignored for the galaxy tab 10.1.
its all to do with the sauce codes...Samsung have them under wraps and are not letting them go easy also their is an issue with correct drivers etc... im sure when the codes are revealed their will be 100s of developers trying this baby out (wifi/3g) but in my opinion i think Samsung have kept this from us deliberately as they are launching the new g-tab 2 this is basically a crappy version of out tab but with ICS not honeycomb and buy them allowing development on our device before launch would kill the thrill of the new galaxy tab 2... disappointing i know
I read a article this morning that said almost the exact same thing you just did. the Tab 2 seems like a lower end device than what the plus is. Slower processor (or just underclocked) with ICS. I am perfectly happy with the tab plus.
- sent from my Galaxy Tab Plus!
Not to sure if anyone has seen this over at Sammobile, cant see any posts on in this thread in regards to it, so here is the latest update for all Galaxy tab owners.
(Since I can't post links here is the tweet).

Samsung to update the Galaxy Tab 2 until Android 4.2.2, testing on 1st Gen Galaxy Tabs
The last week of March is here and we want to start this week with some good information! Today, SamMobile received some exclusive information regarding Android updates for the Galaxy Tab. Samsung wants to update the Galaxy Tab 2 to Android 4.1.2 and stop with Android 4.2.2! Samsung is even trying the same with the first generation of the Samsung Galaxy Tab (GT-P7300 / GT-P7500). According to our trusted insider, Samsung is busy testing how Jelly Bean updates work on the Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 processor*. He pointed out that these tests mean nothing for now. We will keep you folks up to date about the first generation of Galaxy tablets by Samsung.
The Galaxy Tab 2 by Samsung will receive Android 4.1.2 and end with Android 4.2.2. Samsung will no longer support the Galaxy Tab 2 after the Android 4.2.2 update. The updates must be done before the end of September. The issue with Samsung’s Exynos processor has been resolved and Samsung has, once again, started to test Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmwares for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P6800) and Galaxy Tab Plus (GT-P6200).
Everything sounds a bit far away but Samsung really wants to update all tablets in Q2 and Q3 to Android 4.1.2 or maybe directly to Android 4.2.2.
The insider reconfirmed. All smartphones and tablets based on a dual-core processor will end on Android 4.2.2.
* If the processor could handle the update and the test firmwares are OK.
We agree with the most of the users here on SamMobile about blaming Samsung because of the delay in updates but this sounds really good. Samsung will be the only brand with good reputation of Android updates. Remember, most tablets are already 2 years old and even Google only provides support for its device till 18 months.

I've made the same mistake... I could buy Sony... It's very irritating. Samsung shouldn't make a reduntant hope.

It is a good idea. I wanted to buy Moto G, but it was too expensive. Next time I'll have to choose a smartphone more carefully. Do you know something about the modified ROMs?

One time i was too cheap to buy good phone, i bought Huawei u8180, this time i had more money, i bought this phone, and in store i tought, oh, this one is better than that, its good phone, but actualy its piece of crap. Moto G plus is, that Motorola give updates so fast, and they are very stable. For comparising, samsung does not give updates at all. What a piece of sh** company. -_-
We must wait for CyanogenMod, but unless unofficial or othed mods. Damn it!

Me too bro, i dont understand, how this big company DOES NOT support cheaper devices.
I think Samsung want to increase a sale. They want just to have profits and force us to change telephones.
@The_Rencis
I know something about Omkar$'s ROM, but it isn't probably stable.
@friendfriend
I heard something Google doesn't want to make new Nexus.

All is cheap for Samsung.
No matter which manufacturer we'll choose as long as we'll buy cheap devices we'll not find any fw upgrades - that's the truth. Sony supports devices only for a year, when you're buying LG you're aware that it will definately not get any upgrade. Only Nexus has guarantee of ugprades because it is Google.
I heard that Google is forcing now manufacturers to upgrade ALL devices no matter if it's low/med/hi-end but when will it force it? nobody knows....
For now(I think) we should try to build working kernel with additional governors etc. so we have base to start modding. KitKat requires 3.x kernel, we have one so there is still hope that at some point of time someone will build working CM/AOKP/AOSP/Paranoid KitKat ROM.
CM is coming soon maybe a week or month
Looks like we can't count on Samsung, nothing suprising about that :/ I'm starting to miss my old Sony Neo V, huge dev base, I could replace rom every week/month with a new one, good times. My lesson for the future - at first search xda forum, then buy device... Core is just DEAD.
