Since the latest 9.1.0.252 patch4 update I lost Google play certification. Didn't notice it first until I wanted to update my Netflix app and play store said that my device isn't compatible anymore.

Do you really have Patch04 - for me, Patch03 was latest (Mate 9, 9.1.0.252)
Yes, I have. Went straight to patch 4, never received 1,2 or 3. I'm on C636 though.
But that isn't exactly the point, problem is that the Google play certification is gone

Here you go
At least, you could maybe check with this app what is failing
https://mega.nz/#!g5tGCaKQ!6kPsIxH98U8Yp1a4ex1-DMt8ENMDZUIOUfXDgTLWZ1A
(Same app is available from Playstore, but a newer and pay only version)
Bit late, but I'm also C636 and on Patch04 and no issues. Like you went straight to 04. Try a factory reset??

Your device is still certified on patch04?
Maybe then I really need to try a factory reset. Would prefer to not do that because reinstalling and setting up 200+ apps takes a lot of time

I'm amazed by my battery life. I bought my phone in March 2017 and stayed for 2 full years on Nougat without upgrading. Battery life slowly degraded a little bit in that time. Then I upgraded from 7.0 all the way to 9.0 and battery life improved significantly.
Now my phone is nearly 3 years old and I still have nearly 7 hours of screen on time on one full charge.
I'm not using any kind of battery saver app, not even the build in one and I have 298 apps installed with around 50 of them excluded from automatic power saving by system.
How is your battery life?

So I finally got my AL00 Chinese version of mate 9 rebranded to L29C636 with the method posted by gm007 (thanks a lot gm007) over the weekend. Everything went as expected, and I got the latest B158 firmware installed. But I have noticed the battery life had been considerable worse than when I was on the AL00 latest firmware, especially during standby. Earlier after I get up in the morning with the phone fully charged, with light news reading and email checking, it would stay at 100% for lot longer than now days. I have installed the same apps I had before and can't really say I use my phone any differently today than last week... if I had to estimate, I would say it's around 30% to 50% worse than before, though I can not quantify in detail...
Has anyone else notice this ? Is it because there are lot more background processes running from the better Google integration in L29? Btw, I have Google service installed on the AL00 firmware also...
I came from c432 to c636
I've had very enormous battery drain on c432b126 (and on b138). I did factory resets many times, but no success. I tried to
After rebrand I have only good results, so I can't blame c636.
If I remember correctly the power management on the AL00 is alot stricter than the international version. If you go to lock screen clean up and make all but essential apps close you will get a much longer battery time. At least that's what I do.
Sent from my MHA-L09 using Tapatalk
Oh, right, there is 1 thing I forgot to mention in my previous threads. The notification problem existing on the AL00 is no longer there on C636. I now has proper notification from WhatsApp, Skype, etc. I guess that could be the reason for the faster battery drain, I guess I shouldn't complain since it's working properly now vs. not earlier
i noticed the same. I came from al00 to 636 too and i have a considerable battery drain in comparation.
But i have been changing the app killer settings , closing all the apps that i dont need when lock the screem and well it is improving the battery life.
Well... I just can get around 5 and a half hours of screen on time..
yep, chinese version have very aggressive memory management, no fb notification, linkedin, gmail, email, or whatsoever, if you don't use your phone for 2 hours, it tun off any notifications. that's the way to increase the battery life. and it is killing me atm. i think it still a good trade off to sacrifice some battery life in exchange of on time notification and nova launcher.

Thanks for informing us about it. Can you post the link of gm007 explaining the upgrade? Also, for a non-techy, how easy was it to convert to international brand and how long did the process take? Did it get rid of the Chinese related apps? For example, not sure if you tried this but if you could and tell us what you found...
If you go to camera, then slide the left side for options you see at the bottom of the list, object recognition. I used it on AL00 and it takes me to Chinese website (baidu). With your upgrade does it go to Chrome or something?!
Also, after using it for days, how is the battery life? I assume also the notifications issue is resolved with this international firmware upgrade so you receive your notifications normally without the need for apps to be open.

I have both AL29 and AL00 phones. AL00 does have way better battery life, it allows to restrict the app auto launch but AL29 doesn't have this feature.
Basically, AL00 has way more strict background control to maintain good battery life.
The only drawback of AL00 is the google play store sometimes has app download problem. But in general, I like AL00 way more than AL29

did u do a factory reset ?
Still not, I'm planning to do it but it's so much work...
Suddenly without any new SW update (still B341) the battery drain is much better.
It didn't came for free though: the timer is totally screwed up so alarms are missed or late, apps in background closed, whatsapp messages received only at screen unlock plus as soon I unlock and bring down the notifications the new ones randomly disappears.
I was waiting a new SW update since there are many new versions around but it looks takes much longer with the EVA-L09 Vodafone Germany version.
Thinking about using the downgrade package provided by Huawei.
Just an FYI Huawei Health and Huawei Wear haven't been updated to work with the first developer preview of Android P. Both apps keep crashing. If anything changes I'll advise here.
I have been struggling with the same issue, is there any other application that can sync the data from watch to phone, like sleeping analysis ?
That's a bummer, I don't plan to run the DP until Google I/O so hopefully huawei addresses this fast. Hope you sent a bug report ?

Nope. No huawei health data can sync without the phone apps. You'd be better off using google fit for steps, and sleep as android for sleep.

Typically when an app crashes it will have a little pop-up to send feedback. I almost always just hit cancel, it's become second nature. Other than that I'm not sure how else to send a bug report to them...maybe on the huawei health play store page?

Just be careful rolling back, think I read somewhere that you can't recert to a previous version anymore with pixels. I think it's because of security reasons, so they only allow you to update....I could very well be wrong, but check it out before flashing anything

Health data from the watch doesn't sync with the phone if the Huawei Wear app isn't installed on the watch unfortunately.
I wonder why it takes them so long to fix it.
Guys finally it works with Huawei health beta app!! You can add the watch from the health app, no need for Huawei wear app anymore.
EDIT: just search for "Huawei Health 8.0.2.317-wearBeta.apk" you should be able to download the apk and install it normally
Link?

Update 133 arrives.
I got my s22 ultra a couple of weeks ago and I installed one UI 5 using Odin. The battery was really bad it would last me max 3h with a full charge. And after the last update the November patch the device is almost unusable. After updating to the November patch the device heats up really badly before it wouldn't heat up even if I was playing any game and playing music at the same time keep in mind I have the Exynos version. The notifications are bugged when receiving a notification and swiping it to dismiss it while the notification sound is playing it will make your volume really low and you can't turn up the volume it fixes itself only if you receive another notification and let it play the sound fully.
Update: Now when using the camera the phone heats up almost instantly and just lags really really bad
Until now the s22 has been garbage.
All is good for me. Try to reset your phone.
Same here, updated it and have not had any issue...
you say you updated through odin did you update with a different model firmware because most exynos models got the update through the phones software update so nif it was different model firmware that might be the problem.
For me, November patch improved battery life over October one
Snapdragon here; November patch lasts longer than the initial firmware.
I dont notice any changes, but overall the battery life has improved.
Actually, battery life is noticeably better. Kinda reminds me of beta 3
all fine here

You should maybe Google about what's exactly contained within the Play System update.
There's no such a thing as cosmetic change and if that's so - Your November patch solves the hardcore part and this just adds the cherry on top now, wouldn't it?

Must be an issue with the Exynos model. The Snapdragon had poor/inconsistent battery life for a few charging cycles after the October and November Android 13 updates. After 6 days, it has settled down to about where it was on Android 12. The updates reset a lot of the battery optimization software.

More likely, it is because he's rooted and probably has some crapware installed. From what I've read, the official update from Samsung is a big improvement for both Exynos and Snapdragon models.
