Anybody in the US getting service on T-Mobile with the Note 10 Pro/CC9 Pro? I just got mine but I can't seem to get it working on Tmo.
I'm using note 10 on Mint mobile (using band 4 T-mobile signal). I think you got the China version which doesn't support band 4.

I have an aunt who is visiting me in America for a month. She will be going back in few weeks and she is interested in purchasing a note 3 in America since it's cheaper. Question is.. is it possible to use US based phones work in korea? Which carrier Note 3 would work the best?

In theory, the phone should "work", as long as you can get it unlocked from the carrier. They should all have quad-band GSM, so you should be able to get data too. LTE is a different matter though. South Korea providers use bands 1, 3, 5, and 8. Both the AT&T and T-Mobile Note 3s support band 5, but that's the only one, and the Sprint and Verizon ones don't support any of those bands. SK Telecom and LG U+ use band 5, but SK Telecom also uses band 3 and LG U+ uses band 1, so your aunt might not get full LTE coverage if they use those other bands to fill gaps or something - but I really can't guess.

How much does a Note 3 cost in South Korea (USD equivalent)? Because you can get a "international" Note 3 32GB (N9005) from eBay or Amazon for $550-560. It supports LTE on bands 1, 3, 5, 8, and 20. So while she's in the US, she could pick up a pre-paid SIM from T-Mobile or AT&T (not Sprint or Verizon) or one of their MVNOs and use it in her new phone. She won't get LTE, but she will get 3G. If you're in a city, I'd recommend going with a T-Mobile MVNO (MetroPCS, for example), since they have a very strong 3G/HSPA+ network. But more importantly, it'll work on all the bands in South Korea, regardless of carrier.
Can anyone help me figure out if the US Moto G (2015) will work on EE 4G in the UK?
It lists the following bands:
"LTE (2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17)"
EE in the UK supposedly uses bands 3 and 7.
Does this mean I'd have no problem using a new US Moto G in the UK on EE's 4G?
You'd probably be able to make phone calls and use HSPA+ just fine since the majority of the world uses the same GSM bands for those. As for LTE, you would get nothing since the USA model does not support band 3 or 7.

I don't understand. I'd be buying the US version of the phone, and Motorola says it supports band 7.
The question is whether band 7 support is sufficient for 4G on EE in the UK.

EE uses bands 7, 3 and 20, if you use a US version of the Moto G 2015 then you will only be able to connect to LTE in a band 7 area, band 7 is 2600MHz so will only be used in cities and towns as it has a very short range, most of EEs LTE network is band 3 (1800MHz) and then band 7 (800MHz) will be used in some cases (it penetrates buildings and has a much greater range) -bottom line is you won't get much LTE at all.
Also if you are considering buying a US version because with a straight conversion it looks cheap, remember you have to pay import duty and taxes once it gets here which will even out the price.
I was looking to buy a US version because my fiancee is living in England and will be coming to the US in about a year. So the conversion rate is better and she'll be able to use it here no problem once she arrives. Sounds like that might not work though.

You'd still get a 3G connection which would be fine for the year so that's still an option?
Can someone please do me a huge favor? If you have a T-mobile note 5 and another Verizon 4g phone, and your note 5 is unlocked. Can you please pop the Verizon sim card into the note 5..
I have Verizon service and can't switch anytime soon, but I looked up the specs on the Verizon and T-Mobile Note 5 and they have the same bands. I want to buy an unlocked T-Mobile Note 5 so I can have root, but I need to make sure it will work on Verizon first.

I thought Verizon didn't use sim cards? I read somewhere that Verizon and Sprint phones can be used with Att/Tmo but not the other way. Could be wrong though.

Theoretically you could but only for data not sure if Verizon will let you. calling requires CDMA which our phone does not have. Attached Verizon specs.
Data works great. Just no calls nor text. Tried it for myself

Is there no way to force VoLTE on Verizon for calling and messaging? I was just gifted an unlocked T-mobile Note 5, but I'm on Verizon.
I have no idea. I traded the phone away a couple days ago for a edge plus
Ya I am in same boat as you , I'm waiting for my note 5 tmobile to be unlocked , I will let you as soon as possible , 1 to 2 days hopefully
Tested mine with the latest update, temp unlock method selected. No dice with VZW, but I could access ATT service, so I know the unlock was successful.

No. Not that I am aware of. Volte is registered on vzw sides and requires an approved phone to activate. The only option you might have is a close to stock vzw note 5 rom

There is no such thing as a Verizon Note 5 rom.
So far the Verizon Note 5 phone is not root-able at
all, check out the Verizon Note 5 XDA forum and
see for yourself.
None of the Verizon Samsung Note 5 or the Verizon S6 Edge+ phones are root-able.
(just like the AT&T Note 5 and the AT&T S6 Edge+ in xda forums are not root-able.)
But in any case Good luck, and have a very Merry Christmas.
Greetings, have a question that is perplexing me: I lived abroad (China/HK/Japan) for years and we always bought our phones unlocked and international version. When we moved back to the US a few years ago we brought our phones with us (HTC One M8 and a Sony Xperia Z3) and they worked great on the Walmart Family Mobile service plan (not the prepaid service).
Last week I dropped my One M8 and bought an unlocked international version LG G6 but it would not connect to the LTE/4G network - I believe it was an H870DS. I found out that this and other int'l phones do not support Band 2. Since US carriers like Walmart (was T-Mobile, is now Tracfone) use band 2 and band 4, and since I was in a band 2 only area, there is no way to use practically ANY international GSM phone, as I cannot find one that supports band 2 and band 4 (and band 12?)
So I guess I am asking which new[er] phone can we use (preferably a premium level phone) that is fully unlocked and that supports both band 2 and 4?
I am getting my info from here; I may not be reading this correctly:
https://apn.gishan.net/settings/1749_53_walmart_family_mobile_apn_settings_for_lg_g6.php
Thanks all, appreciate any info.
Have been using Redmi series of phones for a while. My son plans to be in US for 13 months. Indian Note7 pro only is compatible with two LTE Bands in US that too only from T Mobile and with one LTE Band of AT&T.
https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/US/redmi-note-7-pro is the link I used to check compatibility.
Even Mi A3 Indian version got only 2 LTE Bands, same as Note 7 pro.
Wonder if anyone knows if there are other LTE bands enabled, but not listed? Also, if there is any mod by which you can enable other LTE Bands like B2 and B4?
Any info will be really helpful.
