Rode VideoMic Pro not Working on Note 10+ 5G - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Questions & Answers

Hey guys.
I have a Note 10+ 5G and I'm trying to get a Rode VideoMic Pro to work with it.
I bought the official Samsung USB-C to 3.5mm dongle. When using this alone, the phone doesn't even pick up the mic. It just records audio from the phone mic.
Then I bought a headphone/mic splitter, because the Rode VideoMic Pro doesn't have the typical four rings for a mic plug; only three (as you can see in the picture), so I don't think the Note 10+ recognized it. When I record with the dongle and the splitter, I get an annoying clicking noise every second or two and can barely hear my own audio, an issue that some others seem to have experienced.
In an attempt to troubleshoot, I tried the setup on my iPad Pro. With just the dongle, the iPad didn't see the Rode VideoMic Pro. With the dongle AND the splitter, the Rode worked perfectly, so I know all the individual components are working.
Is there a known issue with the Note? Is there a dongle that would actually work better than the official Samsung dongle? I'm just at kind of a loss, because I would love to use this phone to record video, but not really without an external mic, and it should be able to handle one.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Wired Headsets?

Hi,
I'm looking for a wired headset with a 3.5mm jack and multimedia buttons. NO BLUETOOTH..
I had the rc-e100 or something, the black one... but it was a broken model.. its crap! i had it for two months and it kept on sucking more and more..
the shop said more people had the same problem:
keys on the remote didn't work. so they took it back and i got my money back...
Now i'm looking for a different one, does anyone have any ideas?
I use that exact same one. For me it's perfect! Good sound an no problems after a few months! (hope it stays that way)
I'm affraid your only other option is the U110 (wich lacks the buttons) as i don't know of an other remote with multimedia-buttons like the e-100. (at least not an official HTC product)

i already bought the e100... couldnt find ANYTHING else...
wish they'd make more kinds of 'em...
but on the good side this one is working correctly for the past 7 hrs of listening music and a 8 minute call.. hope it will work a long time...
i dont get why there is only ONE kind of remote.. and only from htc, its a windows mobile cellphone so if other brands would make headsets that use miniusb it would sell i think... this one is kind of bulky, i had the sony ericsson hpm82 (i think) and it was perfect (with my old SEk750)
hope some manufacturer reads this

Recommend a Verizon phone for me....

Hi all,
Thinking of picking up a used phone to replace my girlfriend's battered and bruised handset, she is on Verizon.
Here's the usage...
- Heavy texting so needs a HW qwerty Keyboard.
- Tough - she can kill technology from 30ft with mind bullets
- Web browser, something actually usable like Opera would be great
- Camera
- Storage & player for music and 3.5mm jack for headphones
Thanks for any suggestions.
Go for Touch Pro 2
no 3.5mm jack but an adapter can be used

She'll kill that thing in seconds, I have a Touch Pro and I have to keep it away from her lol. She drops her phone on average once a day I think he he he.

maybe then something without a touchscreen as dropping touchscreen phones is a big killer

Is it functioning perfectly with Nexus 4? Any cons u came across?
I am also looking for a budgeted Bluetooth headset in market for my Nexus 4.. Can't decide really. The reviews are so different for all.
It works perfectly with my One X, But not tested on the Nexus 4, it must.
Hummm for cons I don't know, it depends if you want to listen to music and call all the day it's 7-8 hours in call battery.
But very fast to connect, impressive.
I like it

Dock with Audio passthrough (or just a plain old USB + audio jack combo dock)

Howdy gents and gals,
Just ordered the M9 to replace my Note 3 and I'm looking to get a dock that allows audio to be passed through the USB interface or just one of those wonky ones I've seen years ago with a USB port and headphone connector on them. I don't care if it supports fast charge or not, I just want something that I drop my phone down on and be able to listen to music/radio through a set of speakers that I have here on my desk at work. Space is a bit of a premium, so running 2 cables all over my desk isn't optimal (not surprising for a reception desk with 4 computers and 3 monitors). Hence, the dock as I can leave tucked in the corner cubby that has the wire management run in it.
I had a dock for my Note 3 that was just strictly for charging, and I got away with connecting the speaker's audio cable to the headphone jack on the top of the phone.
Referring to something like this (I know, it's an iphone dock, but something similar):

I've been poking around, but haven't been successful in finding stuff yet. Charging/Sync docks are plentiful, just not media docks...
If anyone has any suggestions or some way to modify an existing dock, I'll take 'em!

Best headphones/earphones for Mi 10T lite?

Hi everyone, i just joined the Mi 10t lite team, what are the best headphones i can use with this phone. I need mic. and buttons to work. Can i use Samsung AKG headphones or should i go with xiaomi ones ?
DAC is quite decent, I'd say that you can use whichever headphones you like. There is no annoying hissing noise with sensitive IEMs and volume is high enough for "standard" mobile headphones (low-mid impedance).
There are some fancy audio effects in stock ROM which in theory should sound good (especially hearing loss compensation), but unfortunately they distort the sound too much and I just prefer using "hifi sound" (it bypasses all audio effects) with Viper4android to fine tune the sound a little.
I use the DT 770 Pro (80 ohm) and they work quite fine, but they lack a bit of bass, I'd say that anything below 65ohm will do the trick.
But you're totally fine with 80ohm.

JBL. I never have some bad experience with this brand. I like JbL with wires ,old school . I also have Bluetooth some QCY, but it's not so good like JBL. They have the best bass.. Bluetooth is for me expensive so I used wired but I will soon changed for Bluetooth...
Try JBL you will don't regret.
