I tried to root phone with twrp and magisk but forgot to turn on oem-unlock, so I am stuck now and getting "only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" notification. I can neither boot in download mode to flash stock rom, i tried many times. getting same red notification doesn't matter which button combinations I hold. Do you know how to solve that?

Do I have to hold it for a long time? I tried, but it's still same, as soon as I connect it to PC red notification starts blinking.
I rooted it long time ago, today I did factory reset from twrp and as I wanted to flash magisk I forgot to activate developer options and after that I have this problem. Maybe I have to wait for some time?

Like I said, just continue to hold until you see download mode.
It doesn't work. Is something else I can do?
Edit: I fixed it, thank you. It was just other button combination

For putting phone in download mode no, but you have to flash stock rom again so you will need them.
If volume down + power button + plug usb cable didn't work, try volume up + power button + plug usb cable and connect to PC, it should put phone in download mode in few seconds.

2. Afterwards hold down the Volume Up and Volume Down button for a couple of seconds.
3. While holding these buttons press the Power button for a short while.
4. Release held keys when you see an Andoid image.
5. Then press the Camera button to enter Recovery Mode.

Power down your device.
Press and hold POWER + VOLUME DOWN
After the Sony logo disappears, release the POWER button and continue to hold VOLUME DOWN for 3 seconds.
This will allow you to boot to recovery.

I may have given you incorrect steps and that's my fault. I was reading about a different device. My bad. Try this:
Power off your device.
Press and hold VOLUME UP + POWER at the same time.
Release all buttons when the Sony Xperia C3 screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear.
You can also try this:
Reboot your phone, as it's rebooting, press volume down + power. You should then see the Android robot after restart, release buttons and press camera shutter.?
---------- Post added at 11:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:26 PM ----------
Okay, quick question. Have you installed a custom recovery? If not, your device was not shipped with a stock recovery in and therefore you will not be able to boot into recovery.

Do something for me first... Let's make sure your ADB fastboot is working properly.
If your device will boot normally, navigate to DEVELOPER OPTIONS and make sure you have enabled USB DEBUGGING.
Next, open a COMMAND PROMPT window and type:
adb devices
If the adb daemon is not running, you will see the COMMAND PROMPT say that it is starting the daemon on a certain port number.
Type this again:
adb devices
Your COMMAND PROMPT should return with a list of attached devices with your serial number.
Next, type this:
adb reboot bootloader
If it's working properly you should be booted into the bootloader and your LED should be a solid blue.
If you want to boot to the bootloader with the hard keys then do this:
Power off your device
Connect the USB cable to your PC
Press and hold POWER UP and plug in the USB cable to your device while still holding POWER UP.
This should boot you into the bootloader with a solid blue LED.
Let me know if these steps are working and post back with what you find

yes this works. i mean the volume up and usb cable let me go into bootloader. i see blue led and device is on debuging mode but i am unable to get into the device since i forgot the pass code.
this is why i want to get into recovery. i want to wipe data so the pass code will be removed.
beacuse of the pass code i cannot send adb commands through the lock screen.
anyway, there is somthing i can do to wipe data or flash a new rom or remove passcode through bootloader? (the black screen with the blue led)

I was actually putting together a post for you with the exact same solution. I read over the details a little while ago. Glad you got it working. Good job.
Hey guys,
I just bought the Samsung J4+ (SM-J415F) and now have a dead phone after flashing a firmware. It doesnt turn on. I cannot put it into recovery mode. The screen is always black. This is the order of events:
1. I succesfully flashed twrp + supersu (i followed the steps from this page: https://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...j415f-t3876876)
2. After doing that i had a bootloop.
3. I decided to flash the following rom to get rid of the bootloop: [up_vnROM.net]_J415FXXU1ARIK_J415FOJM1ARIK_EGY_8.1_FULL (https://www.firm-ware.com/2018/10/sa...-download.html)
4. This also worked successfully and i saw the android symbol for a few seconds. However, then the power went off. Now the phone is dead.
It seems like i can turn it on to download mode (screen still black tho) and connect it to odin (odin is recognizing the phone) but if i try to flash again it stucks on "setup connection". I am using odin 3.13.1. Yes I already tried to run odin as administrator but it didnt change anything.
Any ideas how to bring my phone back to life? Any help would be appreciated.

This will happen if your cable is not connected to both PC and device.
The device needs to detect it is connected to a PC.
I suggest changing the cable.
Secondly you can try booting to Recovery mode. (with cable out)
As soon as you see that flash hold POWER + VOL UP only until you see recovery mode.

Hi,
Recently i was trying to apply another rom to my Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 edition and i am stuck in an infinite bootloop. I cannot enter download mode with the Volume Down and Power keys and the only thing it does is showing the logo of Samsung every 5 seconds and restarts. I have tried to built a usb jig with 300k resistors and still does not boot up in download mode to flash with odin a stock firmware. Also i left the battery to drain and now it is turned off,but when i plug in the usb cable and power it up it still goes into infinite loop. Any help?
I was trying the Android 10 Magisk root for A750F and was greeted by a similar situation after ODIN rebooted my phone after flashing Magisk image.. Anyways, don't panic, try all combination of buttons. vUP,vDN,PWR or vUP,PWR or vUP,vDWN while connected to usb.. It wasn't working for me too but i tried all combinations and it landed me to download mode where I flashed the stock rom
just press those button and connect to usb
im glad i read his, had just the same issue while flashing wrong twrp on A750FN .. yihey thx budies
how did you solve this issue.

which button combination helped you. I having a similar issue. can not enter download mode.
Solution that helped me
Just Press the volume plus + volume minus + power button at once. Once the phone reboot black screen appears, Leave the power button and keep pressing the volume plus and volume minus button. It will redirect to the download mode. and reflash the room using Odin. Only use official sammobile rom file as other files may be corrupted. The issue may arise. The problem is in rom.
If any issue query me at : [email protected].

I have tried keeping all 3 buttons (vol up + vol down + power), tried holding vol up + vol down and then connecting to my PC (nothing happens, I always see the same screen (SAMSUNG Galaxy A7 Secured by Knox and Powered by android underneath)).
Tried vUP,vDN,PWR or vUP,PWR or vUP,vDWN while connected to PC via USB.
Tried vUP,vDN,PWR or vUP,PWR or vUP,vDWN while NOT connected to PC via USB.
Phone sometimes reboots but always gets into the screen I mentioned above.
Odin, obviously, doesn't see the phone either.
Also, adb devices command deosn't show the device in the list.
Anything else I should try?
Ah I solved it, and nobody mentions that you have to be SUPER quick!?
So you hold down vol down + power button and keep the USB cable at hand and the millisecond your phone reboots, reeeealy quickly release vol down and power and quickly afterwards press vol down + vol up and again quickly plug in your USB cable, if you did it before the Samsung logo appears you will get into Downloading... screen.

Same here, no joy ....
Hope you are doing it correctly to go to download mode:
When your comp is on, connect one end the USB C cable to your comp , turn off phone, press & hold volume up & down buttons together, connect the other end of the cable to the phone. When the warning screen appears, press volume up.
It's been like this for sometime now(starting with S20 series).

Turn off. Press & hold volume up and sidekey together and release when Samsung screen appears. Will take you to recovery.
