Hey guys, just wanna ask how much idle drain do you have with your Mate 30 Pro. I'm experiencing what I think is unusually high idle drain.

Very USEFUL comment (loljk)
@usvimal : Install a battery monitor app like GSAM or BBS and look for culprits under Kernel/Partial wakelocks.
I usually have 59 mins on Android OS CPU usage per charge cycle, so almost 8 hours is a bit much.

Here are the Stats. Can you help me find out what's draining my battery?

Strange, but those stats actually look OK, and 5.5%/h with 38% screen on is still OK. Maybe you need to let the information gather further.

Try this, it worked for me. Wifi settings seemed to be the problem. Changed the frequency from 'automatic' to '2.4 Ghz only' in the advanced wifi setting.. Now all Normal. I almost returned the phone thinking of a hardware issue.
Hello everyone! Just got my Huawei mate 9 2 weeks ago and I'm seeing a lot of standby battery drain overnight (about 25 percent over 6 hour). Any tips what may be causing it? Pictures to follow

You might try letting it shut off maps and those other running apps when your phone is sleeping, that would be the first step in my mind. I'm on Oreo and have excellent battery life and it consumes very little battery on standby, your Wi-Fi on all the time will also consume battery even if not connected as it will always scan for access points
Great - I'll try that tonight! Thanks for the input!

There is a known issue with Dropbox also, see link below.
https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Mob...causing-high-battery-usage/td-p/229226/page/8
An update after having Maps close after sleep. It drained about 7% over 6-7 hours so definitely better! Thanks for everyone's help! I'll try turning off data/location, bluetooth, and WiFi tonight to see what the standby drain is!
Maybe uninstall Dropbox and see if that helps, too!

LoL how is this possible tho?wish someone has a solution for this...
120hz drains the battery soon. Set the refresh rate to 60hz if you need more battery life. This issue may be solved in any update

Mine is 93% at 60Hz and I still get 10+ hours of SOT.
I highly doubt it's anything to worry about..

It just means that out of all the battery that was used up to that point 88% of the used miliamps went to the screen, which makes perfect sense since it's the heaviest battery user out of all the hardware bar the CPU.
You wouldn't want Android System to be using 88%, wouldn't you?

Well it make sense i guess...tho never had screen in first place on any android phones i had anyway if this is normal then i guess this solved my questions and my doubts
12.0.3 update has reduced screen battery consumption
SOT also increased from from 5-6 hrs to 8-10 hrs

It's a stable update. Changelog: system stability and reduced system lag
Edit: tried updating but it failed for some reason. Maybe Magisk is the reason? Idk. Checked update again and the size changed to 2.2GB
@Slim K -- I just restored from MiUi from xiaomi.eu and just saw the update! factory reset after applying the update!

Ahh, yesterday It wasnt available for me yet. Today i could update It. For sure, they have changed the way the % of battery use is calculated.
Yes, less battery drain and I've noticed that the phone seems to be faster and smoother.

Hi Nobody know ???
Why do you think that something is wrong here ??
You have 2 days of usage, with more than 5h SOT ...
Facebook apps are eating alot of battery too.

Thank you for your reply, I have the impression that the battery drains quickly, after charging it 100%. the percentage digits go down empty, is this normal?
(edit)
Even if you do not use the phone, its system is still running.
Many applications still run in the background if you haven't turned them off ...(settings - battery - app launch)

Hi XDA forum,
Apologies for my second post here being yet another question. But I've noticed my battery draining quite fast compared to my oppo find X2 Pro. I took this screenshot from battery guru.
Just wondering whether there is a none issue excessive battery using as it's showing around 4% p/hr on standby and 12% p/hr screen on, which seems quite high.
Kind regards,
Alex
