Bluetooth audio and cpu spy - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi all,
Of late, I have been using the phone to listen to music stored on my onedrive via cloudplayer on my car's Bluetooth. I always have the habit of disabling the BT once its use is over. However, I find that the phone seems to be draining even if I'm not connected to the BT nor is the music app running. I checked CPU Spy and find that the phone is running at the lowest cpu level 576Mhz. It seems something is running in the background even though I force stopped the music app. I haven't seen such a drain when I listen to music via the BT headphone. The drain is no longer there once I reboot the phone.
Has anyone else experienced drain when listening to music via their car BT? I'm not rooted yet and plan on doing so in the near future...

[Q] Experiencing WiFi and Bluetooth Clash when using together

I keep experiencing the problem on my Transformer.
When I listen to the music using my bluetooth speaker connected to my Transformer, the WiFi connection becomes extremely unstable and the download is suspended. Once I stop playing music or shut Bluetooth down, everything just go well.
I've learned WiFi and Bluetooth do clash as they are using same frequency. But there should be some technology to prevent it. Wifi and Bluetooth can work well on my Galaxy S together.
I'm wondering what is the actual problem.
Thanks!
yes, very annoying.
Playing Youtube videos while using bt headphones causes the videos to stall frequently.
Bump bump bump
can someone try with bluetooth 2 or 2.1 headphones? They reportedly have better wi-fi collision avoidance protocols.
No issues here playing Youtube with stereo bluetooth.
EDIT: Scratch that. Got a pause. Seems to get stuck and buffers.
EDIT2: Nah. It buffers without bluetooth connected too so must be my connection.
Happens all the time to me on my Evo. I use it to play music through my car's stereo, but the instant I'm close enough to my home's wifi, Bluetooth cuts out. I think it's an Android thing, not something specific to this hardware.
Look for Bluetooth coexistence on your router and hope your bluetooth headset supports the feature too. I think the Transformer's Broadcom radio will automatically enable its coexistence feature if it detects the router using it. I don't know why they decided to make Bluetooth around 2.4 GHz too.

Bluetooth Issue

I used to have a Galaxy SII that was able to connect to my car stereo through bluetooth with no issue.
With the Tmobile One S, often time my phone does not full connect it will do things like only connect for phone use but not for listening to music. I also used to be able to control moving the songs and I can no longer do that. I also cannot get the metadata to show up on the car display.
Many times a reboot will hook the audio up and I can listen to music, but I still can only go forwards and backwards by using the phone.
Is anyone else having issues like this?
Yep, I got the same issues....A2DP sync problem.
Does it sync your phone contacts too. If so change what contacts are synced only allow google contacts. This was a solution for a similar issue in another thread.
Sent back in time to find Marty.
No, I don't sync my contacts...worked perfectly with MyTouch4G...also noticed headset droid and jays headset control take away Bluetooth control capability...anyone know a work around besides disabling?
Same issue here with my bluetooth headset (Cardo scala rider G4) and HTC One X.
Since installing Jays headset control for my Jays One+ (which is a one-button wired headset) my bluetooth headset control fails big time. I can only use my headset play functionality and after disconnecting the headset the music player starts playing music again within a couple of minutes.
I'll try to disable Jays headset control and let you know if this resolves my bluetooth problems.
how do/when do you select which contacts to send to headset? Didn't see an option for this in Bluetooth settings.
I received the Tmobile update today and I still have the issue of the phone not transmitting the metadata to my radio. Interestingly enough when I stream Pandora the data from pandora shows on my radio display.
Do any of you all know of a ROM that will allow the metadata to be sent from my phone to the radio?
This is the only thing that really annoys me about this phone. Thinking of selling it when the SIII comes out.

All Media Except Pandora Play Through Bluetooth

Running Codename Android
I set up my phone to play through a Bluetooth stereo dock and at first BeyondPod wasn't playing through it but Google Play music was. BeyondPod Started playing through the speakerphone instead. When I realized Play Music was working I opened up Pandora and it also played through the Bluetooth.... until the first song ended and it switched over to the speaker phone. Oddly enough, BeyondPod then started playing through bluetooth. I rebooted the phone and now Pandora is permanently playing through speaker phone only. I downloaded and used BT mono, which caused Pandora to play through Bluetooth with a 15 second delay, but when I shut it off it played through Bluetooth perfectly! I rebooted my phone and it is back to speaker phone only. Now BT mono does not affect it at all.
Summary of what I have tried:
Two separate Bluetooth devices, same behavior
BT mono app, worked at first (crappily) but now has no effect.
Multiple reboots, cleared data and reinstalled Pandora, no effect.
Unchecked and recheck BT setting in Pandora, no effect.
The Bluetooth devices are set to "media" in the bluetooth setting, and one of them was set to "media" and "Phone"
Is this a ROM issue? I love this rom... Any other ideas? I don't think it is a problem with the bluetooth devices considering every other app works fine.
Ok so to add to the mystery, I just tried Double Twist, and it did exactly what pandora did. It played the first song through Bluetooth, and when it cycled to the next track it went to speaker phone. Now I can't get Double Twist back to Bluetooth.
IF anyone is following this, I have found that if I enable BT Mono, the sound stops playing from the speaker, and when I disable BT mono it start playing through Bluetooth.
So just a toggle on and off and it randomly works, sometimes it does nothing though. It's incredibly inconsistent.
Could this be a kernel issue?
Appears to be a general CM10 issue. Sorry.
Not sure what the issue is but I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with the same issues. I'm trying to find a fix but nobody knows what is going on. I saw on other forums someone referencing the AVRCP version with new builds. Not sure if this is it or not. But I have a 2011 Toyota Camry it will not pair with for Pandora, YouTube, etc... Google Music works but that's it. And I can replicate your issue. If music is playing, I can hear notifications but if it isn't I don't hear anything.
Not sure if this will work for you but it worked for my HTC One and 2011 Sienna:
Launch pandora
Launch Google Play Music
Under Manage apps, select Google Play Music and stop it.
Sometimes Pandora starts streaming at this point.
If not, select Pandora from Running and stop everything under it.
Restart Pandora and it should stream now.

[Q] WIFI Interupts Bluetooth Streaming

I have had this problem ever since i got the Sensation and it doesn't matter what ROM i use, it's the same on every ROM. I have a samsung home surround sound system that i can connect to my phone through Bluetooth to enable me to play songs through the system. It works perfectly until the WIFI connection is being used on my phone. For example i could be streaming my music through BT and the WIFI is on, if the WIFI starts to be used for data like a Facebook notification or me opening my phones browser, then the song will start skipping and jumping. Normally it's not an issue but I've downloaded the Google Music App so that i can store all my songs online and that way i don't have to use my phone/cards storage space but as i want to play the music through my surround sound, i will have to be connected to both WIFI and BT.
Any suggestions why this does this?

Stop automatic bluetooth audio playback upon connect

I have tried 3 different phones including my latest an LG G3. Whenever the phones connect to my Subaru radio, and the audio source is selected as bluetooth, the phone will automatically open the last audio app I had running (Podcast Addict, MixZing, etc.) and start playing where it left off. I have looked all over for options and so far only found one to "not resume playback after phone call." While this prevents any audio playing when I hang up, I don't want audio to start playing just because my phone connected to the car's bluetooth either.
How do I disable this?! Hoping I can do it form the phone end. Saw no way to do it from the car's radio.
No one?
N7player has a setting called "Resume after Plugin" under Headset controls. I think that's what you're looking for. (Since it sees a bluetooth radio as a headset).
I think i have this problem too.
I have BBC iPlayer app, and I tend to use it to listen to live radio, over wi-fi when I wake up in the morning. Then I close the app and usually swipe it away.
When I drive I often use Google Maps or Sygic app as a Sat Nav, and connect the phone to my car stereo via Bluetooth so the audio is routed through the car stereo. Often I also listen to music from Google Music (downloaded only), and that works well, with the music being muted automatically for voice instructions. But when I don't want to listen to music, and just have the voice through the radio it keeps starting up BBC iPlayer Radio which then uses up my data allowance. If I wanted to listen to the radio I would use the car radio. Having read this thread I guess it is starting BBC iPlayer because it is the last audio app that was being used.
I noticed today that even if I stop the app, and swipe it away, if RDS TA (FM Traffic Announcements) break into the audio, when they end or I cancel them, the BBC iPlayer app starts up again.
I don't want to be having to keep stopping it while I am driving. I hoped there was some way of stopping it.
