Hi Everyone,
Here I'd like to Introduce you with my custom Gapps package that I use on day to day basis when I flash a new Rom. As I've observed many people struggling with finding the correct version of gapps to flash, I decided to build a package of my own which lets you flash stable google apps with a lot of variants so you can decide for yourself which package suits you.
What is NikGapps?
NikGapps project started with the goal to provide custom gapps packages that suits everyone's needs. A package that a user needs but cannot find and ends up setting up the device installing more apps and removing unwanted apps manually.
NikGapps is a gapps package built from my own device. As my device is always updated with latest version of Google Apps, every time I build a new package, I am on latest and stable version of Google Apps
NikGapps is a bit different than other Gapps packages. It focuses on providing apps that most of the people uses but can't find it in other Gapps packages and ends up installing the apps manually
NikGapps doesn't have stock YouTube, instead it has YouTube vanced. It doesn't have Pixel Launcher, instead it has Lawnchair launcher
NikGapps allows you to dirty flash it anytime you want
NikGapps also comes with nikgapps .config and debloater.config which allows you to control your installation and debloat unnecessary stuff from your Rom respectively.
NikGapps also comes with addon packages (useful ones) so that users don't have to flash the whole gapps package just to have the app installed.
Unlike few other gapps packages, NikGapps doesn't disable the Privileged Permission Whitelisting property, providing the necessary permissions to the privileged apps.
It supports addon.d so you need not flash the package again and again after every nightly flash
It also allows optimizing Google Play Services (when you turn off Find My Device) so that you can sleep with peace without having to worry about Google play services eating your battery.
Also, since these are custom build, I can include as many packages as I want (which I do, you can pm me if you want that package)
NikGapps comes with following packages
» Core
» Basic
» Omni
» Stock
» Full
Although these packages cover a large user base, there are few users who like things differently that is where NikGapps Addons Comes into picture. These Addon packages are separate and meant to flash over NikGapps original packages.
Everything about NikGapps
Flashing Instructions (Clean Flash is recommended)
Flash Rom in Slot A, Flash twrp, reboot to recovery
Flash Rom in Slot B, Flash twrp, reboot to recovery
Flash Magisk (Optional)
Flash NikGapps
Flash Debloater (Optional)
Reboot
Note: The thread will only be updated if enough users find it useful.
Enjoy the package! hope it helps you somewhat!

First time installing crDroid to your ENTER-PHONE-NAME, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

This ROM can record up to 720p. To alleviate this, I simply took the media_profiles.xml (system/etc) from the stock ROM (TouchWhiz), renamed it to media_profiles_V1_0.xml, then replaced the existing file on your ROM's /system/vendor/etc.
When writing to an SD card (via MTP), it's very slow at 1-2MB/s. A reboot fixes this temporarily, then after a few minutes, the problem comes back. I've tried formatting it both on my computer and the phone. Same thing. I also tried another card, same thing..
I didn't have any apps installed and left the phone at 41% charge before I went to bed. Woke up 5 hours later, and it's down to 37%.
When you have USB debugging enabled, MTP doesn't work. I had to disable it for it work.
Thanks u very much!

This application is used to delete or disable gapps. It uses a regex to find GApps package
- pm disable xxx (xxx is a package name that is found by the application)
or
- rm -rf xxx (xxx is a path name that is found by the application)
It requires root to work.
Don't delete GApps on touchwiz (or similar) stock rom or your device might not boot afterwards. You should try to disable GApps instead!
To re-enable GApps, go to the *Settings › Apps* menu, and chose "restore apps preferences". If you want to reinstall GApps, you should use the OpenGApps zip or GApps installer (third party apps).

Will I be able to delete gapps from Oxygen OS in my OP6?
I actually love this as I looked for it for awhile.
Though hesitant on testing as even touching gapps ruins my daily.
Also opengapps is a 3rd Party flash
for those new to modding android you need root and custom recovery to flash Gapps. You DON'T uncompress it.

did you have success in the procedure? (could it work on op6/6t?)
I tested on
samsung galaxy c5
samsung galaxy j5 prime
lg g4 (stock)
xiaomi mi a2 (pixel experience and stock)
android x86 (64bit-oreo)
Works very well
Wil this work on Revenge OS custom rom, which have pre gapps added?
I want to delete gapps from Oxygen OS is this possible?
Delete without GMS means that it leaves some google apps installed?
Does it completely remove each and every file related to gapps? would it leave any traces?
Sorry for the question but it is my first Rom I install.
1) once you have installed the Rom - Gapps etc ... if I restore the Original firmwere, does it completely remove Open Gapps?
Hello!
First time i've disabled gapps - everything was ok. Then...
I've clicked delete gapps and other on my Neffos C5 Plus. After reboot i have bootloop every time in Twrp. How can i fix this?
Android 8.1 Go edition, Stock rom v11, Twrp, Magisk, Unlocked loader.
I got backup system, data, boot in twrp, but restoring them - doesn't helps.

Try to flash rom zip over current rom (without any wipes and formats). Gapps should restored and rom should boot. If not, only full rom reflash with wipes. Next time You should backup all partitions before rom modification.
I really love this as I searched for it for a spell. However reluctant on testing as contacting gapps ruins my day to day.
Likewise opengapps is an outsider blaze for those new to modding android you want root and custom recuperation to streak Gapps. You DON'T uncompress it. Wil this work on Revenge OS custom rom, which have pre gapps added?
can this app remove possibly any gapps that came pre-installed on any custom roms?
I know this might sound a really difficult thing to ask for (or even impossible), but there are some roms that I'd love to use without the gapps, so that I can install other gapps of my choice.
currently on LineageOS 20, while I really love LineageOS, I'm one of those people that got bored easily.

Me too facing this problem.
I flashed the crDroidAndroid-9.0-20190528-tiffany-v5.4.zip image to my Mi 5X using TWRP but the device just boots up to a black screen. Eventually it makes sounds as if booted, but still no display.
Can anyone give advice on the above?

Well now I'm confused! Does going from 6 to 7 count as a first time install or an update?
That's a new installation, be sure to backup all the stuff you need!!
Has someone already tested if android auto/miracast works?
I'll answer my own questions:
- Miracast/WiDi works
- Android Auto does not (the notification asking to connect appears, after confirming: nothing happens)
- SafetyNet does not pass (Magisk says basic integrity + cts profile failed)
- GPay does not work as a result
Other than that, the battery drain seems to be similar to MIUI 12.
I'll keep my eye on this, but with only 1/4 of the things I need daily working, I'll go back to MIUI for now...
I think GPay etc can be sorted quite easily - go to the Telegram group there's a guide there. They may also help with Android Car.
I don't think that will help, all guides for fixing safetyNet work under the assumption basicIntegrity is true - it's false for me.
7.5 clean flashed now, looking good.
Spoke too soon, Safetynet fails on ctsprofile.
@Schumi_wk any chance of incorporating the workarounds here:
