Hello, hoping someone can help. I purchased a gm 1910 to use here in Canada. I got the phone about 6 weeks ago. All was working great. I am running oxygen os version 10.0.2.gm21aa.
Yesterday I was unable to send email. Received no problem but unable to send while on mobile data. Works fine on wifi. Did some research and found out the my ip is blacklisted on spamhaus.org? Does anyone have any suggestions? My antivirus Bitdefender says I have no issues. I called oneplus they say its not there issue. Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards

Would a full wipe fix the os if it is infected with a virus? Been an android user for years and never had any issues before. Seem strange to me

very weird. Try using Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 or cloudflare's 1.1.1.1

I'm running a full stock N5 and trying to tunnel to my VPN with no luck. Have other tried this setup. It worked with my SGS2 phone.

No one has tried VPN with their device?

What type of VPN? I'm using PPTP to my cisco router - works fine. I'm not using the cisco VPN client - just the native Android client
Same thing. Pptp. Just tried the client in the settings.
My concern was maybe because I'm not rooted that there is a similar flag restricting this connection just like the flag restricting tethering in the database file.
As I said these same settings worked on my old SGS2

I am rooted, but I don't think that should cause a connection problem. (I didn't have to change any setting to get it to work).
What problem are you facing?
It just doesn't connect. It doesn't give any exception or error which makes it hard to diagnose.
In the past I've had issues with VPN. They seem to get resolved depending in android versions. Meaning at one point it didn't work on say 4.0 but then was resolved with 4.1.

So now I have been unable to setup PPTP as well as OpenVPN on my N5 stock. Has anyone with a stock unrooted
N5 got either of these working on the tmo $30 plan?

After trying unsuccessfully to use OpenVPN, I got PureVPN and never looked back. It's fast, connects immediately every time, and only costs 50 bucks a year.

For as frequent as I used it PPTP worked just fine. I don't get if this limitation is from the N5 or from the service. It is hard to compare since my last device worked was a S2 on sprint.

I have problem with VPN, but not from stock.
I have S4 with 4.4.2 and I can connect to PPTP VPN on my DD-WRT, but it have packet loss, some apps do not work, and after few minutes it stops working with 100% packet loss, while still showing as connected to VPN.
It is possibly due to reported 4.4.2 bug where VPN does not take correct max packet size.
I resolved this issue by setting ip4/6 in the settings instead of just ip6 which was on by default.

Hello. I recently moved from the iOS platform onto the Android platform because I believe it provides a lot more freedom than Apple will ever allow. I used an app on my iPhone for a very long time called CoverMe, which is basically a texting/vault application that is encrypted and secure. The older I get, the less I trust those harvesting my data. I downloaded the app onto my new HTC One M8, but unfortunately it does not work. I open it and it immediately crashes, asking me if I want to report the crash to Google. It does work, however, when I am connected to WiFi. I emailed the developers about a month ago, but have received no solution. I'm not sure if anyone on these forums will be able to help, but it's worth a try. If attaching the logs/crash reports will help someone fix my issue, I can attach them.
Does anyone else have this problem with CoverMe, specifically on the HTC One M8? If you've come up with a solution, please let me know.
Thank you.

Just tried it and it crashed. You may want to email the app author.

I've emailed them on multiple occasions. A new update was just released today and I was hoping for a fix, but unfortunately it's still producing the same result. I'm going to attach the new logs in an email to them and hopefully that will help more.

I just launched the app in WiFi and it went through set up and everything. Try WiFi instead of using your cell connections.

I wrote about both of your suggestions in my first post, which you apparently did not care to read. I do not have WiFi at my house and therefore cannot use it on a consistent basis. Thank you for your comments.

If you want to get snippy, that's fine. But your original post only says it works on WiFi and never indicated you tried it on a cell connection. I was just telling you I got it to work.
Surely you visit a McDonald's that has free WiFi. Start the app there otherwise just deal without it. You don't have to be on WiFi all the time, just to connect to the app to accept the TOS.

I was not getting snippy. I thought it would be implied I tried it on my cell connection, as I wouldn't attempt to try it with no connection at all, and WiFi is the only other option. I used WiFi to accept the TOS and create my account a while ago, but it still crashes regardless when I open it and enter my password on my 4g connection.

I've been using the app you suggested for a little while now and it actually works pretty well. The only issue is that it unfortunately does not have an iPhone counterpart. That's okay, it will suffice until CoverMe comes out with a fix. Thank you for your suggestion.

Yeah! Try it only for installation and to set it up. Once installed properly, I think that will work fine after will cell connection.

(As I previously said) It still crashes while using my cell connection, even after I made my account.

Hi,
Since some update ago, not sure which one, my chrome browser shows that I have Wikipedia app installed when I don't actually have it. I don't know where to even begin to troubleshoot this issue other than add and remove the wiki app.
Attached are some snapshots of the issue.
Your help is really appreciated it, thank you.

Exact same problem on my Nexus 4. I even did a factory reset and the association came back!
Anyone out there with new information?

Before updating to the newest chrome, clearing data in privacy fixed it; but that's not the case anymore. I DID find out that it seems to be linked to my google account. Logged out of chrome, the association went away. Logged back in, repeat the same search, and it's back.
Googled and tried fixes to get wifi working normally after updating to marshmallow but no luck. The speeds are pathetically slow tried clearinh cache, factory rest, tried google DNS settings anybody find a fix ?

Sounds like I've had in the past. Try this:
Turn off VoLTE and wifi calling.
Reboot and test wifi. If your speeds are back then it's because of those things.
I was plagued with the slow wifi issue ever since the Note 4....essentially for two whole years. Finally figured out it was they service being crap in NOCO.

Oh I'm sorry dude. Other than those "tricks" I have no idea what else it might be. My guess is maybe try fresh start again to see if it gets fixed.
