Maybe someone will tell. The problem is as follows. At some point, the gamma suddenly increased on the screen. It happens like this. You take off the charge, light the screen. The colors are normal, the brightness is also adequate. but when screen is off by timeout and you light it again - it lights up in such a strange mode of the twisted gamut. Artifacts are visible around some menu items, colors have changed. The brightness of the backlight even at level 1 is too high. Similarly, I put on charging, as soon as the screen goes off the next time it lights up with normal colors and brightness. But only once unfortunately. If I wait for the screen to off, then it comes again.
The same goes for reset and reboot. Until you turn off the screen, it works fine. One has only to turn it off and on again - you have a problem. If you set the screen to always on mode and reboot device - everything is fine.

Here you can read the details and watch a video of this working.
Summarizing, is based on rendering screen only showing one component of color. It could be a great idea combined with the light sensor for working automatic in high light ambient, in solar light, etc.
Old News are old.
thats definetely not that i want to see on my wonderful OLED screen
Ok, i think on not a normal use... but think in direct sunlight... your wonderful oled screen... seem to be the same with or without this and power needed is less.... it could be a good solution.
ok what the point to buy a phone with OLED? Buy a phone with monochrome display.

Thanks Guys.
Ok ok so i had the same issue a few minutes ago. When I woke up. So what might have happened is that the phone might have gotten wet or something similar. So get a bag of rice, and you put it in there for about 30-35 minutes. So all the liquids will come out. The phone screen should kind of appear again. Then you put it in the again for 10-20 minutes. You restart the phone. ( hold power button down for 20 seconds ) then the screen should go back to normal.
Hi guys, I have some problem with my Mi4. Phone was on a table when text message came, so I saw notification. I take phone and saw what screen become like in white fog, and colors become faded. I have trying to change contrast an color mode, change brightness - nothing helps. Fastboot flashing didn't help. Even in recovery or fastboot mode screen is faded. I use this phone for 3 months... You can see photo, left phone is normal, second phone my.
Is this a hardware problem? What I will to replace? Screen, screen controller or something else? Maybe I must flash another kernel or something else?

Most likely hardware since recovery and fastboot are same.
Problem with my screen
This is the problem i have with my mi4
Does anyone have any solutions to my problem just let me know
Os version: MIUI 8 BETA VERSION (7.5.11)
So I just discovered my S8+ has a display problem that results in the right eye (lower half of the screen) being much darker than the other side; this causes discomfort during GearVR use because whenever a dark scene is presented, the pixels on the right side of the screen become so black that they actully turn off! Its like going blind in one eye!

Here is a solid dark wallpaper I generated to test if you have this issue yourself, simply load up this image on your phone, turn brightness right up in a dark room and check for and variance in brightness, if you see any, you'll likely have a simular issue.

Anyone else have this issue?
Software I have tested affected by this issue;
The Manor
Pigusas
Dread Halls
Hello guys I hope you are doing great
I would like to ask you about something related to my iPhone 12 Pro Max when the brightness is below 30% I get a greenish reddish tint (reddish at the bottom that goes greenish at the top)
My question is being only at low brightness and disappearing completely at higher brightness can this be fixed with software to recalibrate The display at such lower brightness or it's hardware and there is no way around it.
I am attaching an example I am a bit lucky as I have the same display serial number as the photo which indicates samsung good panel
And lastly thanks for your time!
I am having the same as the image only difference is green up and red down happens only at 30% or lower
This issue is widely known with iPhone 12 lineup I wanted to ask here as there are many experienced people with such issues
