stuck at sony logo - Sony Xperia XZ Premium Questions & Answers

hi
my problem is that i wanted to flash the newest firmware which i did, but then wanted to go for more and flash existenz but forgot to fully boot the device up once so i wiped the cache and now it wont boot up, just the sony logo stays there. in flashtool im stuck at "sending sync" and my xperia companion always shows an error.
im thankful for everyone who can help me

I managed to get out of bootloop by flashing some firmware files via newflasher and actualy boot into existenz.
The guide i followed:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72958788&postcount=16

The last time I tried my problem wasn't solved. But after I finally read all about existenz I figured out how to do it. With the help of post from yoann654 who write down everything I couldn't understand my phone runs now like it should with existenz and magisk installed.
It's really strange that even if you didn't wipe anything it works. The phone I had before this a Xperia XA it required this procedure to work

[Q] xperia ray stuck on "sony" logo & I'm an idiot

Hi guys, I need a very BIG HELP...
first of all, I'm a bit new with the flashing,,etc
I had the latest update on my Xperia Ray 4.0.4 ICS,, then I decided to flash it,, my bootloader was allowed unlock but i did not unlock it
i followed the walk through where you root without unlocking the bootloader
I flashed my phone to 4.1.A.0.562 kernel,
then flashed again to 4.1.B.0587 kernel,
went into CWM and installed Xperia Ultimate HD 3.0.2 from sd card,
then i saw the MOD 4.4,
installed it from sd card by using CWM
all worked well
then i messed up everything
i wanted to remove the MOD
I went into CWM recovery mode
I had "wipe data/factory reset",
then had "wipe cash partition"
then install the Xperia Ultimate HD from sd card...
after installing, the phone remained on the Sony logo screen without loading...
I tried to flashed it but on flashtool it said "need to root"
I used fastboot mode,, and unlock my bootloader successfully..
I flashed it again to 4.1.A.0.562 kernel and then to 4.1.B.0587 kernel,, but still nothing happened :'(
my phone is still stuck on the "Sony" logo screen and I cannot enter CWM recovery
And i think that my phone was not on debugging mode or unknown sources checked
Dont know what to do....... :'(
PLEASE HELP...................

did you follow the instructions of the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1924291 correctly? you also said in the end you able to unlock you bootloader, so flash at fastboot any kernel that is compatible with the rom you want or the one the provide.
OR
IF you want to repeat all the procedures from the start flash back your stock ICS ROM then root it the way you know how to root it..install CWM then GO follow the instruction carefully of the ROM you wanted to try just be careful not to brick your device by flashing rom not intended for your device
GOOD LUCK!
Hi,
I also ended up with a bricked Xperia Ray. If you did not unlock your bootloader, you should be able to restore your phone with Sony Update Service. That worked for me, until I unlocked my bootloader. Once unlocked, the software refuses to do anything with your phone and you're forced to take more drastic measures.
The method demonstrated in the video worked perfect for me. However, you'll have Android 2.3 running. If your bootloader is still unlocked, you should be able to update with Sony Update Service. If not, you can try do download a more recent stockrom and flash that with flashtool. That worked for me. I still had to flash another kernel though, to get Doomlord working again and root my phone. I used RecoveryX to flash CWM recovery on my phone.
I also recommend Iced Bean 3, it's work really well on my phone. Don't make the same mistake as I did and do format /system, /cache and /data, as instructed. And follow these steps to update to 3.5

Lost Recovery, tried Flashtool, got bootloop, fixed phone... A short story

Was on MM, Wolfbreak's RXSW MM ROM V3, tried to access TWRP , phone vibrated weirdly, after a few tries I realized that I couldn't access recovery :crying:
Went for Z3 dual recovery from here: http://nut.xperia-files.com/
Followed instructions, all was well, then disaster hit, I tripped on the USB cable close to the end of the process and ended with a hard bootloop.
Tried using Flashtool, couldn't get it to work, phone was unresponsive.
Used the Sony's Xperia Companion to fix the phone because the original bootloop was not letting me do anything with Flashboot. Got updated to MM .575, phone booted fine (took a long time to finish )
Used the Flashtool with KK FTF files to downgrade and root again, got bootloop. There was no error during the flashing using Flashtool.
Tried again, but no dice. Downloaded a different FTF file, no dice. It was only after the 3rd try that I selected to wipe the App_Logs and UserData that I was able to get the device to work and now back to my nandroid backup (I guess I should have read more).
I am posting this here since I could not find clear info during my search on what options were needed to fix my bootloop.
So in case you want to root/install recovery without unlocking bootloader or trying to fix a hard bootloop, I recommend the info I found:
Root / Recovery LL / MM / KK:
1- Go here: http://goo.gl/0CdWwL
Bootloop:
0- Read the forums, there may be some solution available without losing your data.
1- If you are lazy or can't find the answer you need, then flash an FTF KK/LP/MM file using Flashtool
2- If that doesn't work or you don't know what to do, use Sony's Xperia Companion in your PC and follow the instructions. It takes a while, but your phone has a good chance of getting fixed.
Good luck in your ROM flashings :fingers-crossed:

Sony Xperia X Compact - Bootloop

Hi, help would really be appreciated (I'm extremely new to all of this)
I have a Sony Xperia X Compact. I unlocked my bootloader, then I wanted to get TWRP.
I flashed TWRP, and failed to get into recovery mode first time, the phone loaded as normal without issues. Once I got into TWRP it failed to create a backup, so I thought maybe it's to do with my memory space being too low - I rebooted via TWRP to take a look. This is where the bootloop began - I can't get past 'Sony'.
I have been searching for ages and trying to find the fix, and I've noticed in TWRP it tells me I have no OS. It appears I have wiped my phone entirely?
I can detect my phone with 'fastboot devices' but not 'adb devices'
Where should I go from now? Do i attempt to flash a ROM, or is there more to it? I have attempted to flash a ROM but it says it can't load the .img file.
Thank you

Bootloop @Sony Logo after reinstalling recovery.

Hello,
normally i find the solutions here and dont open a new thread but this time i really dont know what to do. I am using existenz MM ROM.
I had a custom recovery, which worked, today i wanted to flash some stuff via recovery but my recovery vanished. So i tried to install NUTs recovery second time, after install my phone stucked at the sony logo and restarts.
I dont want to loose my whole stuff on the phone, could there be a problem with the boot.img? How can i reinstall the boot.img on the z3?

XZ Premium Dual Bricked Forever? PLEASE HELP!!

Got my new XZP yesterday, unlocked it fine. But Im a dumbass and WIPED THE WHOLE THING so there's No OS. No matter how many times I try to Wipe it and Flash TWRP it Won't boot into TWRP. It won't even give me a Sony Logo. It only gives me the "Your device is unlocked - Boot in 5 seconds " message and then Endlessly will do that. I can't boot into recovery. I need to know if there's a way to remedy this I'm desperate as hell cause I rooted my Xperia X just fine. I even used Newflasher to flash a new updated Stock ROM to it. Seemed to work fine, still wouldn't give me a Sony Logo or Boot into recovery.
PLEASE HELP!!! Edit: I re flashed just a system .sin and that allowed me to get back into TWRP. I still have no clue why flashing a ROM didn't work. But I have TWRP and an SD Card.

that is very very interesting... did you try flashtool and flash older android version?
Can you boot into Fastboot and flash a valid rom via newflasher?
It could be possible, that in fastboot the screen is still dark
