Actually everyone doesn't want that so try this code
Code:
pm uninstall --user 0 com.oneplus.deskclock
I guess this should work please let me know!
This can be done as an application by magisk ??

Actually this method was so that it could work for non rooted phones. You may make some magisk script or run this on terminal emulator but try it at your own risk.
Will this work with stable build or it meant for beta builds only and does it affect the update , I don't want to bricked my phone?
Thanks.

I am sure it won't brick your phone. Please do it with adb method mentioned on the thread not the magisk one mentioned above.
Also it removes apps I don't think beta or stable would matter.
I did not test myself, but it seems the command
Code:
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 <package_to_disable>
(that is disable-user --user 0)
instead of
Code:
pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package>
(that is uninstall --user 0)
Should works better, because it is way easier to re-enable it, instead of a factory reset (by uninstalling with uninstall--user 0) you DO NOT regain the space used by the app, because it is just removed for the USER, but it remains installed on the system partition
To re enable it:
Code:
adb shell pm enable <package_to_enable>
For reference: https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-system-app-bloatware-android/

Enabling directly using play store and apk files seems more attractive but you can choose otherwise. Also if you want to choose the second tell me I will modify the script according to that.
Another thing why disable using script if you want you can disable using settings
Suggestion: Add Amazon shopping, prime video, kindle & OnePlus icon packs and community apk in the script. By the way thanks for the script, confirmed working on OnePlus 7 Android 10 stable build.

"Battery life improved by 60% - 80%".
Do you have any evidence of that happening? That's seems like a lot for only removing pre installed packages...

Many apks "uninstalled" by your script, are not found on playstore, but on other markets
And it is not possible to deactivate all apps via Settings Menu, but only via ADB for a non-rooted phone

As I mentioned I have been using this for a long time. This I have said so, and also there is a deep sleep script which does much of the battery saving.
I think you should give it a test run you might like it.

Yes there are apps that couldn't be found on playstore like the gallery app of oneplus but I think just a single search would help out with that. If you don't find it maybe Apkmirror can help.

HELLO EVERYONE!!! THIS GUIDE IS AVAILABLE ALL OVER XDA BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD POST IT HERE.
Basically, If you are like me, you like a nice clean debloated stock ROM, but I was too late to the party, and missed the date for bootloader unlocking (and root!)
But....all is not lost, we cannot use Titanium Backup Etc to freeze or remove system apps, because we have no root access.....
But there is a way to remove system apps without root, the commands given later will remove whatever program you want gone.
This procedure is at your own risk, make backups, it should work on most androids (Tested on Honor 10, Honor 9 Lite, Xperia XA1 and a Moto G6 Play) - Please dont moan at me if your phone explodes, makes weird noises, or kills you during the night - All the commands below will get rid of a LOT of stuff! Mine and 10 others who used this have suffered no problems at all.
What you Need :
1 x Honor 10
1 x USB Lead
ADB and Drivers installed properly on your PC
(Easiest thing to do is download and install Minimal ADB and FASTBOOT : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790 )
**Before you start, the apps option in your phone setting allows you to uninstall many programs, so uninstall away, some items just say 'disable' or nothing at all - these are the programs we are interested in **
follow the instructions on that thread how to install program properly.
Now on your phone, Enable USB Debugging (search XDA how to do this if you dont know)
open the command window (also known as CMD)
type in ADB DEVICES - if all your drivers etc all installed properly, then the message should read XXXXXXXXX (where the XXXXXXXXXXXs is your phone ID, and it will say device, if it says unauthorized, you may see a pop up on your phone screen, click allow, and run ADB devices, it should no longer say unauthorized
if you have nothing there, please install all drivers for your phone, search the forums on how to install drivers
now, type in ADB SHELL
my phone now says : HWCOL:/ $ and now allows me to enter the items that i need to debloat, you can get a list of app names by typing the command pm list packages
this will now list packages on your phone i.e
package:com.huawei.hifolder and the rest of your installed stuff
now you can enter these commands one by one, or CUT the commands and PASTE in your CMD window, after every command, it will say 'Success' but occasionally you will get error 'Failure [not installed for 0]' - this is because the app is not installed on your phone, dont worry about this.....
These commands will delete several Huawei items (some you might need, but in the interest of debloating, im including it), it will also debloat the extra included system apps (theres some facebook bloat, some other little programs, and a lot of google bloat - this will debloat a lot of it, and keep your phone lean and clean!)
Again, before doing this, read up about the programs installed on your phone, you may want a system app kept.....just choose which command you dont want to do.....) SO LETS GET TO IT

Are all of those commands confirmed?
My phone is rooted and i tried to uninstall some system apps using TB.
Some apps could be removed but for some i got "apk not found".
I wasn't able to uninstall that translator app, so i would like to know if pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.microsoft.translator is working.
Yes it will work

Used the whole list, I can't use my SIM card anymore. You add too many "useful" apps in your list I'll customized it

There is one : it destroy recent apps task killer. And I don't know why but it delays some system message.
Only happen to me after deleting system manager
Do you know if it works to remove demos apps (like the apps installed on a phone when it's for presentation in stores) and if yes which command ?
Edit: Realised that i can't even use USB debugging...
would I still be able to receive ota updates?
also, for a conservative approach, which programs would you recommend keeping ( from the list )?
Can we still use it now?
I'm running latest 8.1 because i got no 9.0 yet...
Reminder:
You can debloat apps with ADB:
Here are the command I successfully did, it will remove SwiftKey, xGoogle, OkGoogle, Security Manager and Facebook. Choose the one you need.
You can try to debloat more with the help of App Inspector to reveal the app IDs.
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.swiftkey.swiftkeyconfigurator
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.touchtype.swiftkey
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.hotwordenrollment.xgoogle

did anybody know the packages of Hicare and AppGallery?? Can't find it

maybe you can add it to your list.

I was not able to remove app gallery with ADB despite knowing it's ID ?
(I removed a lot more but was waiting a few days in case of bugs, will improve the list in a few days)
Btw after debloat I gained 10 000 PTS on antutu compared to a stock view 20. It's not that relevant anyway ?

Huawei video:
com.huawei.himovie.overseas
Designs: com.huawei.android.thememanager
be careful, if you uninstall Designs you lose the background pictures and the ability on homescreen with the gesture zoom out to get access on background but you can easily change you backgrounds in the settings menu. So I can deal with that.

That's the most important thing to do on this phone. The phone is complete hijacked by the stupid Huawei search if you don't remove this package.

All great info! Thanks a bunch. This bloatware is the worst.
So my questions are, can the actual dialer be removed and sideloaded with the Google dialer? Can the contacts be deleted through ADB and Google Contacts installed (if so what is the package name?)? I'd say the same for the gallery (package name) and just have Google Photos replace it?
My biggest issue really is the launcher. I've installed Apex launcher, but it's a little buggy sometimes. I'd really, really, really love to get the rootless Pixel launcher on here but it always says there is an error and to uninstall it when I try. Any suggestions?

Disregard about the pixel launcher. I didn't realize you had to enable the 2 permissions for it before you opened it and then chose it as the default launcher. All good on that front now and with the pixel bridge. I did install app inspector to view the packages, but not quite sure how the contacts/dialer thing works or works together and how/if they can be separate and removed.
What are the 2 permissions you need???
Edit found them .
I debloat my View 20 and After this, its not possible to get an update for the Huawei Designs app without updating the App Gallery.
Did anyone find a solution, to update thhe Designs app without updating app gallary?
Thanks!!
does anyone know the name of the default weather widget? deleted it by mistake and can't get it back:
C:\adb>adb shell cmd package install-existing com.huawei.android.totemweather

Anyone try removing Honor Files app? It drains a lot of my battery.

Perhaps you would have to reset your device to get it back.
Which bloatapps in the RN7P can be uninstalled?
And, which cannot.
Someone please do a mini review of the camera. I really distrust reviews on the net.
And, comment on the ads. Only one review actually mentioned the ads.

Uncheck Wallpaper Carousel. Turn of recommendations and suggestions in each mi app. It will hugely remove ads.
There's a tutorial to remove bloatware here. It will uninstall apps for current user and you can always re-install them with a click.
This will help with blocking of ads systemwide not just miui apps - https://www.xda-developers.com/enable-private-dns-xiaomi-devices-miui-10/
I am using adguard dns - https://adguard.com/en/adguard-dns/overview.html

I have used the adb i.e. Android Debug Bridge method which doesn't require root or unlocking bootloader. It is given in link below. Yes, the apps will come back after phone reset.

Hi, I know 1+ does not have much bloat on it but anyone have any suggestions for apps they've adb uninstalled with no adverse affects ? Obviously the google stuff is the usual candidates here but any other suggestions will be most welcome.
thanks.

Are you guys disabling or uninstalling the apps cause as far as i know disabling can be reactivated via system which suggest if you really don't need them uninstalling would be the better option.
I only disabled Facebook app manager, app installer and services in settings and they are still stayed disabled.

In Windows you should be able to put above into a batch file (.bat extension) and execute via command prompt or in powershell.
BTW, what's the last 3 entries (.gamespace) relating to? In particular the overlay entries?
Thanks will give it a try.
Gamespace...i was wondering the same. Noticed it in the app drawer but couldn't uninstall. Never played a game in my life so didn't want it there

Use an magisk debloat zip. Install from magisk
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261823503
I am not the creator of this zip but i made my own install.sh to replace the one in the zip (attached, remove .txt)
You can edit the .sh with notepad++ or other text editor. Magisk will run the debloat every boot, so long you maintain magisk it should survive an update.

Note that I want to get rid of Google app, which improves battery life and privacy. This kills Google Assistant (which I don't use myself) and the Discover screen (which I don't use either).
Other Google products I use (gmail, agenda, phone, messages, map, drive, home) still work without any issues.
Well, to get rid of apps on android that you aren't "supposed to get rid of" (the ones that'll only "disable"), one must root their device with SuperSU or Magisk using TWRP.
If that's a success you'd wanna install Titanium Backup which not only backs up apps but can also delete "un-delete-able" apps.
As far as the Google app that BtB mentions, I don't get how it would improve battery life or even more outlandishly protect your "privacy" since it is Google's main focus to intrude on one's privacy.
On another note, somewhat related, I recently got a Moto G6 which came with tons of Google bloat. I did what I suggested to you to do, and I got rid of it all including the Google app (I do not see Google Assistant, on its own, in the app list on Titanium Backup). And I know this bit likely goes into the unpopular view, but I got rid of Google Photos in favor of a local app (that I can't seem to find the download for).

I don't have any detailed technology proof of what I say, but that's my 3rd phone on which I disable Google app and it yelds 10-20% more available battery after a day of use.
My theory is that this app is constantly updating data (for the discover feed, etc...), listening to you for the hey/ok google hotwords, etc... and disabling that improves battery life.
And as privacy goes, well, I know for sure Google is still slurping a lot of my data, but again, just having assistant off means it's not listening to me all the time :-D
So one suggestion... don't take my word for it, try it and let other know if you have similar results (I'm talking battery life, privacy cannot really be proved anyway).
I now debloated Stock pretty extensively with Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools (Szaki) ~ see what I left in the pic.
Those pages are useful: selivan (last update 2020-11-23), technastic (MIUI 12 De. 2020), devcondition
I just hope a good and updated AOSP/LOS based signature spoofing ROM (I like crDroid) will become available before I would like to update the sys.
I have a weird issue with pic/file sharing in Apps, meaning often I can not send (newly created) pics from Edit Apps to Apps like WhatsApp, etc.
It just does not post the image. "The sharing app did grant permission to access this file".
I suspect it is some image cache (new files) issue, since when I save the file after some time it works in some Apps. However I'm not sure if this is introduced by debloating many of the Xiaomi/MIUI apps.
Did someone experience similar issues?

Did someone experience similar issues?

Hello, I was trying to remove some bloatware and found this thread. I believe I'm having the same issue - for example, If I have a video on Telegram and want to share it on Whatsapp, it returns with a message saying "The file format is not supported". I just don't know if it's it happened because I uninstalled something that I shouldn't.

See Thread Poco X3 pro bugs
after turning on MIUI optimization, most of the problems are fixed.

Had to reenable the developer settings again by tapping multiple times on the MIUI version in the About 12.5.1 section.
Then Phone settings > Additional settings > Developer options > Turn on MIUI optimization (was off)
So I enabled that and so far checking it it really seems to solve the issue. Weird that this is causing such file sharing problems.

Hello all,
I have tested my script several times and it works properly. It removes all the Google and Xiaomi stuff except Settings, Camera, Security, Phone and Clock. Playstore was replaced with F-Droid store. Likewise, all the apps I needed were installed from the F-Droid store.
The script was created for the Bash under Linux. For Windows, the file extension can be renamed from .sh to .bat or .cmd.
Here are the links through which I informed myself.
