I installed Lineage OS in the following order
- install current stock rom: 9.0.9-OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_034_all_1909112343_31f86cec5f8d4c7b.zip
- wipe system, factory reset
- install Lineage OS: lineage-16.0-20191122-nightly-enchilada-signed.zip
Unfortunately, Lineage OS has no fingerprint support (setting not available). When I go back to the official stock rom fingerprint is working as expected.
Thanks for your replies.

I have the following installed:

Android: LineageOS 15.1 (8.1.0_r4) with latest magisk installed (15.3) with unofficial opengapps 8.1 mini package
When I try to downgrade to either Lineage 14.1 official or carbonrom 5.1 I am getting a boot loop at the oneplus logo. Restoring from backup to 8.1 resolves the issue.
1. factory reset
2. wipe system
3. Install Lineage 14.1 or carbonrom 5.1
4. Install recent opengapps mini package for 7.1.2
4. Reboot
The phone boot loops at the oneplus logo and I end up restoring from backup.
I have looked online and was struggling to find anything relevant. Some people report a new battery solved the issue but since It works when I restore from the backup It doesn't seem to be that. I do have a new battery on hand that I am eventually going to install though so I can do that.
Apologies if I am missing something obvious.

Try the following :
-uninstall magisk using uninstaller(available in magisk forum)
-clear system,data,cache,dalvik
-install only the rom with out gapps
if it boots properly then you can install the gapps later or else if u find flashing gapps is causing the bootloop then use an older version and double check the compatibility.
if still not just try out another nougat rom
Thanks for the suggestion.
I tried your steps with the latest stable slimrom 7.1.2, lineage 14.1 and carbonrom 5.1 and I am still seeing the same issue. I was able to clean install the lineage 15.1 beta I linked to though in addition to restoring my backup as I have done before. I might try to clean install a different 8.1 (AOSP for example) and see if that one works. This will help narrow down if the issue is caused by 8.1 in general or specifically something that the lineage 15.1 beta has done.
I had a similar problem when I flashed Sultan's LOS14.1. I fixed it by flashing down to stock using wugfresh's bacon root toolkit. Keep in mind though that this will wipe EVERYTHING on your phone. Hope it doesn't come to that. Best of luck!

This is what I ended up doing and it did the trick. Thank you for the suggestion.
Hi Everyone,
I have Samsung Galaxy SM-M105F and did these following things to install GSI Havoc Rom:
1.Installed TWRP from Surbiks(from M10 threads)
2.Installed Havoc Os 9.0 (Official) via TWRP but it said that encryption unsuccessful error.Tried factory reset. but still it won't work and it backed to encryption unsuccessful screen.
So i reverted to stock Android One UI 1.0 (AV-9.0)
But i want to install GSI like pixel exprience now on my phone because i dont like my stock firmware.
If i try to install this will it be like the same as before?
How to install it properly? It will be very helpful.
Hi, just installed havoc os on mi 4x, everything was going well but when i went to my phone's security section in settings to set fingerprint lock , I just didn't find any option to do that. In order to fix this, I went back to my stock rom and there fingerprint option was available in security and was working too. Then i again did clean flash of havoc os, but again same issue, it wasn't there.
And just tell me is Havoc Os v3.2 the latest version?
Thanks
I just fixed it by myself...
1. Simply advance wipe internal storage through custom recovery (I used TWRP).
2. Reboot in recovery again.
3. Advance Wipe-Data, cache, system, vendor, dalvik.
4. Install custom rom.
Thnx
I was running Lineage OS 17.1 without problems in a Redmi 2 prime. Today I got a notification update from July 24th and then proceded to download update, then I clicked on install, then the phone booted again to TWRP and it won't boot into OS again, what should I do?
Thanks a lot.
You should reflash lineage os.
(You need lineage recovery to update lineage os)

So if a recovery wasn't installed that's why is not booting to OS? if I reflash lineage os my information will be deleted?
Any other way to make it boot to lineage, I'm confused...
I'm on Stock OOS 11 with all the latest firmware installed and no more updates from oneplus.
So I tried to flash lineage os 18.1 on my Oneplus 6 (enchilada).
I followed every step, unlock bootloader, flash lineage recovery to boot and use lineage recovery to copy partitions and install lineage os
and open gapps.
But when I reboot finally I get stuck in the Lineage OS boot animation. Can't get past that even after 2+ hours. Tried to reflash many times
with the same procedure.
Finally I gave up and used MSM Download Tool to get back to stock OOS 10 and then updated again to the latest version of OOS from oneplus.
Now what should I do different, to install Lineage OS 18.1 in my oneplus 6(enchilada)?
SOLVED:
The latest nightly has a major bug hopefully the future release may fix it. Until then use 220104 nightly and don't update through OTA.
Wait until next build comes with the reverted commit.
Revert "adbconnection: don't spin if adbd isn't running." Breaks boot for many devices.
