yes it's true, but is only possible to enter it using the .353 update, not the .355. but as long as they rolled out the .355 three days before the start of the beta recruitment many people can't enter it

I can't do it .. is there any other way ? Do you think the beta will be available for .355 version in France? For now i cant access to the beta..
Thanks for your help!

I did it, lost some features though, however now my phone keeps bugging me to update to 355, and lost some features such as dts for headphones, and pre installed stuff so do it at your own discretion

So beta is launched only i nfew countries?
Does someone know will it be lauched in Croatia maybe?
And how long do we have to wait for the stable emui 10, based on how much other phones waited between beta and stable versions?

I dunno, this seems like a hoax to me. Not even a single screenshot of projects from eligible countries to enter beta.

There you go
The beta didn't start yet its just signing, still avaiting verification by Huawei and for them to send out the Hota

What's this app?
Can u tell me how people out of China join beta activities?

The beta is closed, open beta coming soon. Also emui 10 consumes more than half of my 4gb, and if isn't as smooth as they claimed even after a complete wipe and factory reset, which by the way also deleted my beta app so I can't give feedback anymore

This doesn't sound good... I was hoping for improvement after weak EMUI 9
Wysłane z mojego YAL-L41 przy użyciu Tapatalka

Oh don't get me wrong it's definitely smoother than 9.1, but it also drains battery faster and consumes more ram, at least the closed beta version does

I don't care about displaying used ram, as long as system is running smoothly.

I'm not sure, usually shortly after the open beta activity finishes. The open beta activity has launched now.

Downgrading XPERIA U

Hello everyone !
Recently I upgraded my Xperia U to Android version 4.04 ,but my phone has ever since been malfunctioning and misfiring , like making too many crashes (self-resets I mean) or applications performing pretty slow and so on so forth.
I've come to the conclusion that the good old Version 4.00 would perform best on my phone.
Been wondering if it's possible to downgrade it back to Version 4.Any help of any kind would be appreciated.
P.S : I'm totally new around here, so I hope I'm not misplaced !
Just flash an FTF to downgrade.

Er ,what's "flashing an FTF" ? Care to elaborate ?

latest stock FTF for D6603 with fast auto-update when available

I just got my Z3 back from repair and it has 23.4.a.0.546 on it. Now I want to flash the latest FTF(I know where to find this).
1- What is the latest version?
2- Which FTF should I download so when a new update arrives from Sony/Google it will arrive at this this version first Is is the Generic one, or the German or like in the old days with the X10, the Nordic one?
Of course, I want the unbranded.
Is it the 23.0.A.2.93 Unbranded Generic Global?
Thanks!

Kitkat With Latest Security Patches?

Is there a way to apply the latest security patches to older Android versions, such as Kitkat?
I'm 99,99% there isn't any way to do that. KitKat is history, it's sad but true. KitKat was the best OS for the Nexus 5, but we have to let it go. Nougat already looks pretty good.

Man, do not contribute if you haven't got some knowledge
Yes, it's possible that you want but I haven't got time for work on it
For example, there are a developer that works on a cm11 rom with last security patches in Nexus 4 forum

My bad, sorry.
I'd love to see up-to-date KitKat too ))
It is very possible to get the latest security patches merged into 4.4.4 Kitkat. That is exactly what a dev did for an older Samsung phone that isn't capable of running 5.0 and later. My question to you is - what is the point of running 4.4.4 instead of 6.0.1 or even 7.0? I flashed back to Kitkat and tried it out, and I could notice no difference in performance and battery life in my day to day use. What I did notice was a lack of functionality that I was used to (such as denying permissions). I quickly switched back to a 7.0 build off of XDA.

Any android 10 news?

Hello, I wanted to know if someone already received the Android 10 update of this device or if you know any approximate date of release. Thanks in advance
Dopiero kilka dni temu udostępnili aktualizacje z listopadowymi poprawkami. Tempo nie powala. Ale podejrzewam że w lutym dostaniemy 10.

Please use english as it´s the required language on XDA. You can use your native language too but the post has to be also in english, google translate is enough.
About your question: Lenovo/Motorola never predict ETA of new OS versions so it´s coming when it´s coming. I don´t think February is a probable date, it will last longer imho.

I'm a contributor but no maintainer, I don't maintain any ROMs or firmwares (until now).
You can see the title right under my nickname.

Once Motorola was one of the fastest maintainers for OS updates (when they we're owned by Google, no wonder). Nowadays (since under the roof of Lenovo) they are slow in releasing updates even security patches. They don't announce anything, it's coming when it's coming.
It's a shame that the Moto G8 power ships with android 10 and the 8+ only with Pie. I consider to buy a 8+ but the development here seems to be very low, just one unofficial TWRP appeared 2 days ago so I'm about to buy another device which is in active development like the Xiaomi Mi9 T.

They have released this update today. Still nothing about android 10, Motorola is really letting me down
Is very sad that G7 plus rolling android 10 and G8 plus nothing
There is a new Security Update, which I'm installing right now.
Maybe that means they still try to provide support to the G8 Plus as long as they work on the Android 10 version at least I hope so

No and yes. No there are no updates released, all sources that say Android 10 was released in Brazil and Spain are false for the moment. Yes there is a guy with a soak test, but that is confidential.

Samsung galaxy a8 (SM-A530F) - Downgrade

Hi everyone,
sorry for the bad English. I got a phone from my sister (original box), which she got at work, but she doesn't know gmail to log in. When she finished working, they gave her the phone. But even at work, they could not advise her. I tried turning on the phone, but another gmail account wants me to. I'm a beginner, but I was able to run android recovery and there is information that this is the A530FXXSCCTE1 Android 9. I tried to upload another original lower ROM via Odin, but Odin always reports an error. OEM is locked .... Don't you know if it is possible to fix this in any way? I like the phone, but I don't know how to do it myself
I've been trying it for 3 days and without success.
Thank you very much for your answer and have a nice day
David
