Hello, I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro that "randomly" crash (reboot) while I establish a call using Signal Messenger, and I suspect in particular when I start using the speaker too early during the call connection (if I start it later during the call, I have no problem).
I filled a bug report on Signal, but it's months without any feedback, and any how I suspect it is a Xiaomi problem rather than a Signal one.
In the meantime my official ROM updated to EMUI 11 (EMUI Global 11.0.5), but still I have this bug.
Am I the only person affected by this bug ? To which person/entity should I report this problem ?

To my all the friends,
I recently install nitrogen os on my oneplus 3t 8.1 dated 12-02-2018. There is connectivity issue related to this rom. As the jio signal is fluctuating automatically and no other connectivity works like Bluetooth, wifi even shareit is not working. Volte icon is properly shown but no signal is showing. Sometimes call will be made but data connection is not working. Please help me as iam stuck on this error. Because iam unable to do anything.
One more thing, i also tried to install the latest version but same problem persist.
Hey guys,
since amazon is out of stock - and therefore, getting a replacement device is kind of difficult - and I'm still waiting for oneplus to respond, I'd like to hear from you if you encountered similar issues with your OP6:
During calls, I can hear the other side just fine, but the person on the other side can not hear me most of the time. Sometimes, it seems some shreds of voice are being transmitted. It happened on about 90% of calls. There are calls that are perfectly fine, but most of the time, the phone is unusable.
What I could test so far:
- it happens in handset mode, speakerphone and with a bluetooth headset
- it happens on both SIMs, swapping them does not change anything
- it happens on 2G as well as 3G (no VoLTE available yet)
- the microphone works fine if I use the audio recorder (outside of calls)
- calls made via VoIP-software seem not to be affected, though audio quality on the other side isn't that great either (but that might be unrelated)
- sometimes, it seems to happen mid-call
Both SIMs did obviously work fine in my previous device (OP3), signal strength in calls is about -70dBm, both SIMs are on T-Mobile (Germany).
I'm on an A6003 with OOS 5.1.5, Baseband is MPSS.AT.4.0.c2.10-00012-SDM845_GEN_PACK-1.147963.5, bootloader is unlocked and rooted with Magisk.
I did find a thread describing similiar issues on the oneplus-forums (https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/dual-sim-issues.838595/#post-18474985), but I'm currently unable to login to their forums, for whatever reason.
Can any of you guys give me a hint on what to test to narrow down if it's a hardware or a software issue or maybe even suggest a workaround?
I'm happy to provide more details where necessary.
I'll probably have to switch back to my OP3 anyway, so I could give the Android P beta a shot and see if it happens there as well.
Best Regards.
So, it turns out (*after* factory resetting and flashing Android P of course ><) that the echo test number I've been using is equally broken on otherwise working phones, so most of my test results are null and void. I'll give it some more testing...
Just a heads-up for users who may stumble upon this thread in the future: call quality problems are mostly gone after updating to 5.1.6 (and replacing SIM-cards).
I've bought a OP6 just three days ago and I've updated it immediately to OS 5.1.8 (I've also rooted it) and the phone calls problems (call drops and other person can't hear my voice sometimes) are present.
I hope OnePlus will fix the issues not so later...
Unfortunately, I can't rule out that replacing the SIM-cards actually fixed the issue - it might be worth a shot. I haven't had any issues since my last post.
Hi all,
Some users are reporting faults in the proximity sensor (it works when it wants ... sometimes during calls, sometimes during audios on Whatsapp/Telegram ...), there are cases in which they have changed the device and it continues to fail so we think it is more software failure than hardware, on the contrary also there are people who don't give any fault.
Does it happen to anyone?
Yes it's annoying but i think in the future will be patched out with updates it came out only on 5 November so they need time to push out some fixing updates.
Yes, we just have to wait for updates, I have the hope that this will be fixed

They will because i think it's their first phone trying to reach best image quality and they focused everything on it but if more and more person reports this problem they will updated it because android 10 it will come to this device too??
Do you have this phone? with the same problem? ? Yes this device is quite new ...
Same wih my new Mi Note 10. It's quite annoying to make sure not to touch the display while calling. Although, during one in 10 calls, the proximity sensor works properly...Also I'd like to listen to voice messages though the call speaker, which does not work at all right now.
also fail for me... also fail on secret menu on telephon dealer ----> *#*#6484#*#* /14 --> proximity sensor test ---> FAIL.
With the last update (11.0.11.0 EEA) it no longer gives me problems, it has been working fine for a few weeks ????
i flash a global Rom on my CC9 Pro china and the Proximity Sensor never work i try it on call and try the Proximity Sensor test app its not work i think its because Google dialer on the global Rom so i back to china Rom with Mi Dialer

Just updated to that version, still not working.
Here is the solution!
Just disable the 'Raise To Wake' feature and problem will be solved. Simple.
Problem randomly solved (maybe with latest update), even with Raise to wake turned on.
With my Note 10 Lite latest global firmware is 11.0.8.0 and the problem is still present
+1 ! Also on a Mi Note 10 Lite ...
Very annoying!
+1 Mi Note 10 Lite... Dealbreaker for me, whats the worth of a phone if you cant use it for calls reliably!
Judging by the reports on the Web, the owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones should not rush to update the firmware, because now there are more and more reports of an unexpected problem when installing the latest versions of MIUI 12. Some smartphones fall into an endless reboot cycle, which can be exited in the most difficult cases possible only by resetting to factory settings with the loss of all data.Presumably, one of the reasons for this behavior of the smartphone may be a certain software conflict between the latest firmware and the Airtel operator applications in India, the removal of which in some cases solves the issue. However, there is no guarantee that this problem will not occur with any other application. A month ago, a post appeared on the official Xiaomi support forum with a description of this problem, but it was soon removed and is now only available in the Google cache. It is also known that the problem occurs on other devices of the company.

Airtel Apps were known for draining the battery and now they are crashing the mobiles too. No surprise there. I haven't faced any issue on MIUI 12 with airtel thanks app but still for precaution I'll remove it.

Hey Guy's
I have POCO X3 NFC with MIUI 12.0.4, TWRP, Magisk and Call Recorder SKVALEX.
From couple days I have problem with receiving or making a call's. When I call someone, the person cannot hear me and I cannot hear that person. Only after restarting the phone, the situation returns to normal for a longer time, e.g. an hour or two.
The same problem occurs when I receive a call from someone.
Same
I am using Poco X3 NFC and facing the same issue. I haven't installed any custom rom. Its on the stock rom.
I have watched a lot of videos to fix the issue which suggest to restart the phone. Although restarting the phone addresses the issue temporarily which is quite awkward.
