It's probably because of the gesture nav I guess, letting me know I enter recents so I can lift my finger. But I find it really annoying and it's not hard to tell when I'm in my recents.
Did a couple searches and came up empty, sorry if this has been asked and answered before.
Update: Posted this just before updating to 10.0.2, after the update the vibration seems weaker at least so it's not as annoying.

I didn't really know what to search to find an answer to this question, so I'm sorry if it has already been posted. I have a full stock nexus and the default launcher, sometimes I notice a little + sign where the home screen indicators are. I know it's used to add a new home screen, but I don't want it there. And when I scroll all the way to the right there's an extra blank home screen. Does anyone know if it's possible to get rid of this?
Question 2: I have a repeating alarm set every morning with the stock alarm app. I've noticed that sometimes the alarm icon in the notification bar will disappear, and only come back up if I tap on the alarm in quick settings. The alarm is still set and still goes off.
Neither of these are really issues, just nuisances, and for all I know they could be "features". But any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
for #1, just place something on the homescreen then remove the item.

Thanks! Will it still pop up anymore or do I have to do that every time?

I just noticed #2 happening on my N5 as well. I figured maybe it was because I have made some status bar changes with Xposed Framework + Gravity Box, but I guess not. Probably a bug of some sort. What's weird is I've seen it come and go randomly too when just looking at my screen. Oh well. Kind of bugs me, but not a huge deal since my alarm still goes off every morning.
I have the same problem on my Nexus 7 and Nexus 5. I guess it's more of an annoyance than a problem.
I have had this problem for a while now, usually goes away if I bring an icon over to a new page then back, or if I restart my phone.
I have since switched back to Nova as they have implemented many kit kat GEL like additions, and I used this on my nexus 4, missed a lot of the swipe features and icon packs

You restore you N5 in the company setting....
Many be Issue is the some missing file....
I've had the problem with the blank home page several times on my N5 and adding/removing an item to the page removes it. It's always a extra page to the right of the last active page.
I have a daily recurring alarm and I only see the alarm icon two hours before the set time. In the notifications I have the option to dismiss the alarm early.
I do have an issue with HD Widgets which lives on the home (first) screen. Sometimes the widget becomes embedded on the page -- I will see what appears to be overlaid images. I first noticed what appeared to be two sets of temperatures (I use the weather widget with three or five day forecast). The easiest way to correct the problem is to drag the widget to a new page at the end, delete the home page which now displays the widget as a background image, then re-order the pages. This has never occurred on my N4 or N7 which are set up similarly except that the home page is the middle page.
Just went to Pixel 2 last week. My biggest complaint, even more than the Verizon lockdown, is the notification bar. It comes down a lot. I can be typing like I am right now and the notification bar comes down. I then have to click something else or swipe it back up only for it to happen again a few minutes later. It seems very touchy where's OP didn't have that issue. Has anyone else experienced this?
Figured it out
So dumb! I had notifications to show by fingerprint. So I kept hitting the sensor on the back. Shut it off and all is good.
There's a bug when you want to check your notification from status bar during a call. You have to swipe the status bar fully down or it will just go back up.
OOS9.5.5
Can anyone confirm if they have the same issues?
Was like that in my 6t as well.
I think it's a failsafe so you don't accidentally hit something while your on a call.
Once you get use to it it's really no problem.
I have the same issue whenever on a call. I have to make a very slow, deliberate movement to eventually get the quick settings drawer open. Only happens to me in calls.
GM1915 T-Mobile US model on 9.5.6
Thanks for the reply, i thought that was just me. Good to know there are others. It's good as a failsafe but personally i would like it off.
Only on calls.
I just got a Zenfone 6 and mostly like it so far, but I'm running into a really annoying UI issue that I've not been able to find any info on.
When I'm using the phone in landscape mode and drag down from the top, the quick toggle pane dominates the view and won't minimize, leaving a tiny sliver of space to view notifications that's smaller than even a single notification.
I've attached a screenshot of what this looks like, is anyone else having this issue? Have you found a setting to fix this?
Yeah, I've got this, I notice it when I put it my holder in the car.
Does seem strange & completely unnecessary so hope there's a solution within the current settings somewhere......
Hello people,
When I'm having a call I want to do multiple things on my phone like open the notification panel. Before I touch the top bar (I want to swipe down, for the notification panel), the screen already turns off before my permission, I want to turn off a stupid movement sensor.
Regards,
Lajos
This is normal operation.
Use navigation to go to the homepage then navigate from there, no big deal.
Ok, hopefully this will be diffefent in the future like iOS differentiates from hand-to-ear movement or touching the notification panel.
I thought being able to disable a proximity sensor but not sure what its called again or where to find in Android 13

It probably cause more problem than cure.
Simply navigate around it. Takes two virtual button presses. I never thought twice about this.
