Okay on my Rezound running an ICS leak, in the setting section under Apps there is a setting called App Associations.
And in this setting there is something called Web URLS, that lets you set the intent of clicking on web URLS to your browser of choice. Now this setting has the browsers that are installed as choices. But the major problem is that this setting now opens all YouTube links and Play store links with the browser, not the YouTube app or Play Store and doesn't give a choice in the matter.
My question is that is this limited to the Rezound? I don't have these setting choices on my Xoom, but that is running 4.0.0 and I haven't updated it in a while.
Also, how do I get the app to open links? Reseting the default in the app setting for the browser doesn't do anything, it seems as though App Associations takes over for that.
Anybody?

I don't know the specifics of your phone, but you might try a trick I've used with other apps on other phones (okay, with one app on one phone).
Start off by configuring it to use the youtube player (or whatever site-specific app you want) for web url's. Then launch a link that's not supported by youtube. If you're lucky, it'll come up with a prompt saying 'that's not supported, what app do you want to use instead?'. At that prompt, you'd select the app you want to use for non youtube pages.
Disclaimer: I'm a noob myself with smartphones/tablets, so all of my advice is nothing more than logic-guided guesswork.

After installing apps I can't browse websites
Tried chrome , Mozilla , also ADM (download manager)
I automatically get redirected to a link(have attached screen shot)
This ads keep on poping up
My phone keeps on vibrating
I can't open most if websites every time I am redirected to an add page
What's the problem please tell me
And help me

lol funny popup
clean your phone and only put on apps that came with the phone from the factory.
check to make sure the problem is gone.
try installing only a couple extra apps at a time until you figure out which one is causing the problem. im betting its an app that did not come from the play store.

I searched on net and found that tradeexhange is a malicious site it puts its malware in many browsers and hence it was redirecting
I uninstalled all the browsers and now its working fine
Obviously I did a scan with a few play store apps. Found nothing.
But...
How can a non root app detect a rootkit?
The reason I'm investigating is that I was browsing with Firefox and hit some sites which where able to get past the popup blocker and disable the browser controls. Unfortunately at the time I had 3rd party sources install enabled. From around this point onwards I now don't get any prompts regards permissions when I install any app.
I'd like to scan but apps don't seem very low level to me. There should be a reviewed binary I can transfer via adb and run command line as root?
Hello guys as im not sure which section this thread should be in but since I'm p7p user with root i chose to go here.
Here's the problem Im facing.
I downloaded brave browser and set it to default browser.
Yet google (and all it apps like to use chrome for internet traffic like opening website from google feed).
Only possible way to divert everything is by disabling Chrome. But doing that you Will lose saved passwords pop up.
So is there any other possible way to change these settings or maybe a rooted app i can use to change system preferences.

I think it's under settings of the app then open web links like say I clicked a Google search of a Facebook post it would launched the app but when I click the app setting then untick open app I'm not sure but I think it's that just looked at chrome it didn't have it but showed deafult browser so might have to check if brave is selected but yours is the 2nd post I seen about brave browser on 7 pro did you get march update by any chance
Firstly, hello
I want to be able to use YouTube without needing to pass through the YouTube home screen.
I've tried launching it's both search activities–'com.google.android.apps.youtube.app.application.Shell$MediaSearchActivity' and com.google.android.apps.youtube.app.application.Shell_MediaSearchActivity'– directly(chosing them in apex launcher) but it doesn't seem to affect the app's behaviour.
I've tried with kiwi browser, installing the "Only Search Bar" and "Only Search Bar mobile". It worked, but there's two problems.
The main problem is that the extension works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.
The other is a side problem, when I install a direct access to the page in my Android phone screen, the extension doesn't at all.
