[APP][4.3+]SabotCommunity 0.1a (Social media for video gamers) - Android Apps and Games

Hi, everyone! I have an app that is currently in alpha, English and Android 4.3+ only.
TLDR: I built a social media platform for gamers to review games, find others to play with via LFG (Looking For Group), review the players they play with (5 star system), create clans, interact with one-another publicly or privately, and more.
Screenshots can be found here: imgur. com/a/1XY9wSB I apologize this isn't the greatest avenue of mobile screenshots...
Reason:
As a gamer, finding good players to team with is ridiculously hard. Finding others that own and use mics and want to work as a team? Almost impossible. What if you could find new players that weren't totally random, and were able to vet them before playing together? What if you could create a community of like-minded gamers and form a clan?
About me:
I'm a single developer, doing my best to learn and grow. You can find me on the app by searching "@brendan_abbott_1" or "PipingHotGatorade".
About the app:
I've worked hard to bring this to the table, but I understand it isn't perfect. It clearly isn't polished, but I've spent a lot of time building best-practices for security and reliability.
The future:
Plain and simple; It will ALWAYS remain free to my users, but there will be small ads I implement myself.
If you're interested in giving it a shot, the link for download is on my website for direct download as I'm not on Google Play yet. I'm very open to discussing issues, as I know there will be some.

[APP] [1.5+] Quiz/Treasure hunt app, uni app project

Hi
A bit about me:
I've just started uni to do software engineering and after the first week of "bonding" and stuff, we've been put into groups of 6 to develop an android app and market it. We're students of the Preston campus of the university of central Lancashire aged 18. My group has next to no programming experience, with only me having done anything before although it's mostly been python, I also did some C++.
I've been on XDA for a few years, since I got my first android (a HTC Desire HD, now on a galaxy note) and have mostly been a lurker, not really saying a huge amount because I don't want to get in the way of developers and annoy people, but also because I don't know a huge amount about android, although I have provided some logcats and advice where I knew the answer and could help. I often also use alpha or beta releases as a daily driver as I just text a little and love fiddling with the android operating system.
Our task:
Our first task as a group is to create a android based quiz-type app that will eventually double up as a GPS located treasure hunt app. We have to build this in appinventor as few of us know a programming language and it's a good introduction in how a program is built up and the logic behind it. The app is built up over a few weeks, as we learn how to do different things. It starts as a quiz app with hard coded questions, then we have to develop it into a quiz app that uses a server to get questions and finally into a treasure hunt that uses GPS locations and questions to lead us around the city of Preston to get points.
All throughout the 4 weeks we have to do it, we gain points which transfer into the grade we will get for this module of the course.
The catch:
During these 4 weeks, we have to market our app and our brand, to try "sell" our app and get it out there. As I'm the programmer of the group, mainly building the app, I'm not so involved in this process but I thought I'd ask on here for feedback and to ask you to help us out.
What I'm asking:
So, please will you go follow us on twitter and retweet us, spread the word on facebook about us and our app and (when it finally gets put up) view our "viral" YouTube video.
Go to our website if you want to download our app and have a look, any feedback would be fantastic, thanks. It won't be up for a few days, but if you can please follow us on twitter and facebook for now and when it's uploaded we'll update everyone.

Choosing an engine for a game

So, probably asked hundreds of times before, I already searched for it and know some candidates, but since the oppinions I have found could be outdated, I'll ask again:
I want to jump to game development as a hobbie. I already have a job programming, and know C++ and Java very well (not a guru...yet! ). But when I search for game engines there are SO many to choose from.
I'd like to pick one which:
has a big community of users (for example, PlayN looks nice, but I think lacks of this. just try to google "PlayN push notifications" and nothing will appear)
is free (since it's just a hobby)
and would be nice (not mandatory) if it was possible to port to other non-Android devices (iOS, Windows8...). AndEngine looks great, but it is only for Android, and I don't know if Cocos2Dx is reliable.
extra points if the engine includes multiplayer capabilities or push notifications. I have not found information about this for PlayN, AndEngine or Cocos2Dx, so I guess they don't have these features and aim only for graphics. Moai looks promising here, but I don't want to learn to use it and then discover than the free edition is too limited.
So, I'd love to hear oppinions from game developers around here: please tell me your experiences.
BTW, I'd love to create a Civilization-like game, that's why I'm interested in push notifications and multiplayer. But I'll start with a card game, because I'm just not that mad (yet).
PS: After reading forum rules, I guess this question goes here, in Q&A, but feel free to move it to Android Game development subforum if you think it is misplaced.

[GAME][2.0+][FREE][Open-Source] Mupen64Plus Android Edition (Nintendo 64 Emulator)

Mupen64Plus Android Edition (AE) is a free, open-source Android port of the popular PC Nintendo 64 emulator. The app includes specific optimizations for the Xperia Play and OUYA, and works on a wide variety of Android-based devices. Development has been going on for a couple of years. Interest in the project has understandably declined over time, but that has unfortunately left us with very few testers to try out new functionality on various devices. We currently have a couple of big changes that need to be tested (see my thread here).
The app is free to download on my forum at PaulsCode.Com, and it has a public repository on github (paulscode/mupen64plus-ae). Thanks in advance for your help with testing!
I have a problem with one of the ROMS I'm trying to play. Jet force Gemini keeps flickering a lot when there are cut scenes and when you're actually playing. I don't know if this is the place to ask you on a fix or not but it would be much appreciated. The game runs really smooth but it just keeps doing that. I've searched all over the internet for a solution but all I got was "Its not top priority because its not popular game." I really would love to play this game again.

How to boost Rank keyword my app on Google Play?

Hello everybody!
My name is Phuong Pham. I live in Vietnam and an independent developer of the interesting game. You can look it at adress:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=super.brother.world
This game is that I really spent a lot of time to research for everybody around the world about a game with more optimal entertainment characteristics.
I wasted a lot of time, even lost a lot of money to develop it, but the results were not really what I expected. In the hundreds of similar games that you can find on google play, the advantages of my game are not enough.
Fortunately, I found a very helpful supporter to solve my difficult problems.
You see, just look and compare the two images of the rankings change that I have achieved after I used this useful method. You will see the difference.
I am really happy and I want to tell for you about it.
You are #2 now for "super smash world mario". But... why is that a great keyword?!

[APP] [We Newsify] We want to improve a news app. Its already published, and thousands of sources integrated. We want to improve its usuability

Hello Everyone, This is probably my first post to xda developers. I'm not sure, if this thread reaches to anybody.
Anyway, I'll just place this here.
We are tiny group of developers, on our free time, we developed an news aggregator platform wenewsify.com
The app is already available in the play store. Find the We Newsify - News Platform on play store.
I just wanted to check, if you guys have any feedback. There are a lot of news readers worldwide. Although play store said they would market developer's applications by taking 15-30% of the revenue, I'm finding that, it might not be that much true. If we use google ads to promote, we get significant installs, however organic reach is not that good.
Would guys please check the app? We're here to improve the experience.
