It says...
Owners of Sony’s premium flagship Xperia 1 and recently announced Xperia 5 will be among the first to receive the new tech, which will be available this December.
Owners of Xperia 10, 10 Plus, XZ2, XZ2 Compact, XZ2 Premium and XZ3 devices can expect to access the upgrade early 2020 onwards*.
*Software rollouts are a phased process – timing and availability will vary by market and/or operator. Most models supported but some operator/market exceptions will apply.

They stripped 'em. There is a way to enable Android Q gestures via ADB, but the bottom line button doesn't work at all, so it's pretty useless.
Up, u mean pil gestures? That's i used previously on android 9 but after update its not working longer for me. I am mean gestures like on xperia 1 now

If I wanted iOS I would have bought an iPhone. The recent apps menu is garbage and a huge downgrade, the volume control is also awful. No to mention changes in the UI design that look worse than what we had with KitKat. Pie is a huge downgrade compared to Oreo.

You can simply download the OREO full rom and flash it as a local upgrade or if you have twrp, simply follow the steps to flash after wiping the system (not internal storage). Here is a link (see item number 3) for downgrade at the OP6 website. I have not tried it but should work

Can anyone confirm if this works? I too would like to downgrade. At least for the moment...
CapitalOne app currently doesn't work
Pandora lockscreen controls aren't there
Substratum without root is gone
Silent adjustment of volume bars no longer possible
3.5mm output volume is lower (on streaming apps)
Yes it works. I rollback from H2 os PIE to Oos Oreo 5.1.9 at that time.
Will Twrp get erased?/
If we try local upgrade option to roll back. Will I lose the Twrp?

Yep, worked perfectly. Installed on a TA-1046 bought in Belgium. Used latest ADB and image & procedure from the other thread ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-7-plus/development/ota-nokia-7-plus-ota-links-t3818774 ). Didn't do a wipe or anything.
First boot took a while, got me a little sweaty hands when it sat at the white "Nokia" screen for a few minutes but that was probably normal, since it came alive after a bit and booted right into Pie.
First impressions are pretty great. It looks good, some good improvements (new way of handling volumes, new DnD, adaptive battery, navigation, ...) but what's immediately noticeable is how buttery smooth everything feels. I thought Oreo ran really well on the 7+ but Pie seems like something else. It breezes through the interface like I've never seen it do. Could be confirmation bias but I don't really think so
All in all, pretty happy with this.
Hello guys, here is a simple manual installation explanation for Android 9 Pie. You download the OTA file underneath and packs it on the root memory of the external SD card. So no folder or something. Then you restart the smartphone and it will show an update notification. There you click on it and says install. If you leave the app, the app will disappear but it will still be installed.
And if you want to have it installed a little faster and you know better then then, you pack the file in the same place and connect a charging cable and presses the keys louder and power and hold them pressed until a black screen appears and there you push then, first the power button and then the volume up button while still pressing the power button. Did you manage that you just have to select "install update from SD Card" and of course there still select the file and already it's installed. Finally, choose "Reboot".

the problem is there are no rules anymore, i remember when i came here, i could not make a new thread until i got 10 or 12 posts, heck i even could not upload the picture or yt link. moderators where far more strict and you had first to use search option. now it´s a totally mess. you have thread for alpha, beta, official builds, like its two or three different operative systems. people are making an elephant out of a fly.

Experiencing one small issue: Facebook app sometimes starts flashing black/app when clicking through to comments.
I got the pie update!
I dunno if it's for the MFN since I did register, but don't have access to the stuff for the MFN...
I can immediately tell it doesn't include the pie gesture navigation. Further research shows that's the gesture navigation nis only available on the Android One Motorola products.

no it doesnt. the moto one touch nav in the moto app on pie is the same as it always has been just one button to slide left, right and tap and hold and all that. it is NOT the new Pie gesture.
in fact its worse than just using the traditional on screen nav buttons cause sliding to the right to open multitasking doesnt open multitasking, it just switches to the previous app, hence why i have left it on for this long.
however, i will say that it was awesome on android oreo

Hey Thanks for this info. I didn't know such a thing existed but it is updating now. It is a 2.2g file so it will have to be downloaded to the PC first. I was a little nervous about giving all those developer rights to the app but I figure since it is Lenovo it should be OK. It doesn't look like it will update to Pie, however. It appears as stated above by another user that this is just the latest patches. I hope that this does not impede my ability to get OTA updates as I am not into rooting phones. Maybe one day if I have time I'll experiment with custom work but for now I just want the factory Pie that was promised with AI battery saver features.
Thanks again,
J

I'm new to MOTO (usually Google devices until Pixel) so I don't know if the MotoAgent reply is something dependable or just BS. I'm not in a hurry about Pie. It was enough of a mess using Lenovo Smart Assistant to flash the Feb update about a week ago. I will miss the readily available Google factory images for fastboot flashes.
If you got the pie update, can you post the OTA?
My xz3's unlocked so can't use XC but I want to try Android Q
AFAIK the XC's update firmware file is in the address below
C:\ProgramData\Sony Mobile\Update Engine\(DATE)\localstorage\US
(DATE) is the time you download an update.
Under this folder there should be some files that is used to update to Android Q.
Does anyone can go to check if there are some useful files to help me to update without XC?
Or use some tricks to get the download link
Or try a Q GSI from Google.

alternative method would be downloading the firmware through the xperifirm application and then creating a flashable firmware using flashtool and flashing with the flashtool application. Unless you unlock your bootloader you will loose the drm keys.
