Pixel 4 XL has weird comparability towards Camera2API - Google Pixel 4 XL Guides, News, & Discussion

Google is obviously treating the new dual-camera system as one single camera.
The 2nd camera can be accessed while zooming by the most popular social media apps, like Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat and Weibo. However, it cannot be detected in the Camera2API probe or any 3rd-party manual camera app, such as Moment's app and Filmic Pro, etc.

I don't think this is the right choice. I'm not an engineer, so I don't know if they can do this great integration and giving users the options to choose the exact camera to use with 3rd-party apps at the same time. But I think that's what they should do.
Btw, the 2nd camera is not actually a 2x zoom, as you can see the stock camera app switching to it between 1.8x and 1.9x. You can tell by the perspective change.

The latest version of Vignette fixes various crashes; fixes multiple gallery folders bug; more responsive on older phones; time lapse shooting mode; flash on Boston; improved auto flash on X10; launch from Messaging, Facebook, etc; more EXIF data; bug fixes. (for all Android versions). All the features of the demo version, plus support for the full camera resolution on most phones. This application is updated frequently to support new phones.
Vignette-Photos-2 If you’re looking to take professional-like pictures on your Android phone, look no further. Vignette offers seemingly endless capabilities.
I really wish there was a way from having the Vignette app stamp their nasty EXIF information on images.

[APP] TouchRetouch - Photo magic

Every now and then, I happen across an app that although isn't very useful, has such a cool party trick it must be downloaded. I discovered TouchRetouch, a pretty good photo editing app. There are plenty out there (I've been a fan of PicSay Pro for a long time) but this one has a nice trick.
Ever taken a picture and had some unwanted person/item/eye-sore spoil it? Well this app has a very good interpolation trick to quickly remove it! Check these out which I have done (very quickly too)...

Thought I'd really test it....
Get to the Choppaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!
Considering what the app had to cope with in the last photo, I think its done very well!
This is the free version. The paid version has the usual extra resolution stuff and extras.

looking good!

[APP][4.3+] Wear IP Cam Viewer

I've just finished my new Android Wear IP Camera Viewer app - find it here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...barkside.ipcam
With it you can view snapshots of your favourite public cameras, or your personal (security/baby-monitor/bird-cam) cameras, right on your Wear Watch. Other features include the ability to tap on a snapshot, and then pinch/double-tap to zoom. Also refresh a particular camera image from your watch. It works for MJPEG streams and JPEG snapshots.
It is early days, so please let me know any issues.
Also, if I type "Android wear IP Cam viewer" in Google Play, loads of non Android Wear IP cam apps come up - regular peeps aren't going to easily find my app! Any ideas?

Update 10.3.7.0 for Redmi note 7 pro

Observed these 2 very UNFORTUNATE major disadvantages:
1)
Saturation
Saturation
Contrast
settings in Camera is removed.

A big degradation. The default camera colors aren't live or properly vivid enough so Saturation mode was very necessary.
Wonder why does Xiomi keeps f**ukcing with very essential settings.
2)
Previously If we ran the Default camera app and then Gcam in background, shifting back to stock camera never used to freeze it.
Now I have to exit close both the cams and cannot run both simultaneously in the background as only Gcam works properly and stock cam freezes.
Already tried clear data/cache for stock camera its useless.
Now have to search for a compatible GCam for this update. If anyone has do share the link or apk.

It's used by Zoom Meetings app what is a video conferencing platform from a company called Zoom. It allows employees of a company to have online meetings while working remotely.
This software includes Virtual Backgrounds feature that allow you to set an image or video as your background during a meeting. It’s a great option for those who don’t want people to see the inside of their apartment.
