Slow Motion Video recording is borked after the MIUI 11 update.
Both 120fps & 240fps mode only record at 30fps instead of slow motion.
960fps mode works the same as it always did (not very well) but at least it is in slow motion.
Anyone else have this problem?
I'm on MIUI GLOBAL 11.0.4 stable

EDIT:
After a bit if investigation, I've found that yhe videos shot in slow mo do actually playback in slow motion via Google photos but only play at normal speed in the default Mi Gallery app.
They are dropping a lot of frames though so I'm in sure if they're being recorded like this or if it's a playback issue with Google photos.

I have recently converted my HTC one m8 into a GPE version. While on stock sense my HTC could take 120 fps slow motion videos using the camera app. Now on stock Android it can't take slow motion videos because it doesn't have the HTC camera app (yes I installed it but slo mo doesn't work). I looked for a real slow motion video app on the play store but no app exist that actually lets me get that 120 fps video. Why is there a lack of true slow motion video apps out there?

Cause it's a hardware dependent app...its need powerfull processor to do slow motion +high frames job...
Use lapse it may be it works for you...

Do you know a way to have 60 fps in full HD? With my ex Redmi note 4x and Redmi 4x i had a mod that work and with mi note 3 there isn't anything? Also in Google cam, I set 60 fps but video is ever in 30 fps. Please help me. Thanks
I had this problem too

Use OpenCamera, you can't get [email protected] right, but you do have [email protected] (with 100Mbps bitrate!). You can make it slow motion as well if you want, both 2x and 4x possible. Unfortunately the system libraries are buggy (or perhaps OpenCamera uses them incorrectly?) in EU stable 9.5.8.0 , you won't be able to pass around 20 seconds without crashing the app (but your videos are still saved, fortunately), hopefully it's fixed in dev.

Wow, it works! But in this OpenCamera I think is noticeably inferior quality than in gcam mod. I try tommorow to check all settings. I also noticed that by running the slow motion mode on the stock miui camera the quality is much worse and there is also 120 fps. There is no way to activate these frames in gcam?

Indeed MIUI's slow motion implementation is ugly, first it chooses [email protected] instead of 1080p, second it looks like an upscaled 480p.

GCam's slow motion uses the same [email protected] profile, with advantage that if you have google photos installed, you can decide which frames are getting slowed down and it also records audio.
I have installed Google camera and it works well, especially taking photos with long exposure at night, really amazing
But i find it sucks when i switch to recording modeAlthough it offers 60fps, the quality of the video is really bad and not 60fps at all. You can easily tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps. And I have tried snapdragon camara, failed too, the same effect as google camera.
So, is there anyone who can enable that feature:highfive:
Thanks in advance

No joking
Open Camera is an app and allows recording at 60 fps.
i wonder which gcam version did you installed? because mine cannot even record video, its crashed
So i tried miui 10 stable and dev, however [email protected] is weird. One video is recorded in 20fps, second in 60fps, then third in 30fps. All recorded under same light conditions.
Can anyone test this and post results?
For me it seems 60fps works fine, but its way darker in low light than in 30 fps mode. Using open camera lighting is normal.

Download Media info app from Play Store and check if the recorded video is really 60fps. When I tried MIUI beta build last time, the 60fps seemed to work fine but then I checked and it was 30fps actually, it was just higher bitrate, something is messed up in the camera libs. It's 2018 and we can't have a proper 60fps video, great work Xiaomi, great.
Guys is there Gcam or ANX version which got real workable Slow motion mode?
Gcam tried versions:
v4 & 6.1.
Slow motion simply crashes. Played with settings but no go.
Anx:
ANXCameraUnity_166 & ANXCameraUnity_148
It works just for the sake of working but videos captured are just normal ones, no slow motion is captured.
Seems no one uses slow motion here on gcam or anx.
