No Signal NXT-L09, System: OpenKirin OMNIROM PIE Alpha 5.2 - Mate 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I followed the guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/oreo-nxt-l09-l29-t3844267
And managed to install openkirin Omnirom Pie, and it runs great. WiFi, bluetooth, fingerprint reader, and camera are all working perfectly, BUT I have absolutely no signal.
The phone recognizes the sim and and reads the data, but it displays no network connection, showing 0 bars. I've been going crazy trying to figure this out and fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
In the Phone Status tab it shows the following.
Device Name: unknown
Model & hardware: unknown
Build number: unknown
SELinux status: Enforcing
I tried flashing the modem file for the NXT-L09 through fastboot, but if failed with "command not allow." The bootloader is unlocked.

I can't mount the cust partition. It appears to be empty? This is the first time I've encountered a phone with encryption activated in the recovery.

Root Explorer doesn't show a cust folder. There is a single cust file, though it appears empty when I try to open it.

So it means your cust is messed try flashing cust.img using fastboot then rename

I've already tried it. I keep getting "remote:Command Not Allowed" which apparently means the bootloader is locked. But it displays unlocked in Fastboot mode. To be honest, I feel completely lost here. Chinese phones have so many weird layers of security and encryption it's really confusing.

It applies to both. SuperSu and Magisk. I am rooted with SuperSU. There is already a thread on Magisk which states for this. And being a SueprSu user for years, I have seen this myself on my BLN-AL10B375 to B379 and BLN-L21C185C360 to BLN-L21C185C365.

Yes, dload replaces stock boot and recovery so that will work.

My boot.img provided in repository thread is for BLN-L21C432B365 build, as listed in OP and in my post there; what's your build number? An unmatching build could be the cause of this. For example, recovery for BLN-L21C432B365, differs from BLL-L21C130B365 - the B365 at the end is equal, but the build variant is different and so incompatible

Honor 8 very hard brick

Hello,
My honor 8 is hard bricked, I wished to install custom Rom and it was encrypted so I decided to return to EMUI, I installed stock recovery I installed rollback package to emui 4.1 and emui 4.1 now i'm stuck on boot screen.
I can't go to Recovery settings or dload method, I can just go on fastboot and do nothing.
I can go to fastboot mode but I have this message when I try to flash anything... "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)" FRP is locked
Will Phoenix DC will work for me ? To unlock FRP and flash manually ?
Please help me
You can try to boot a recovery like TWRP in fastboot mode
Type in:
Code:
fastboot boot "recovery.img"
You also can try to format the system partitions. It will maybe unlock FRP, but i don't think that it will work.
Commands:
Code:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase data
fastboot erase cache
Which model of the Honor 8 you have?
DC Unlocker is a nice idea. When nothing works, you have to use it.

I ended up using the rollback to marshmallow package. Once I rebooted, the phone started updating. It took me like 3 or 4 updates to get to the latest version. The important thing is that you get the correct rom for your phone. Make sure everything matches up to the B--. For me it was (FRD-L04C567), If you flash the wrong rom your phone will be stuck on the version you flashed (phone won't update). I hope this helps and I wish you success.

Can someone please provide me system gallery app for honor 6x? I just accidentally flashed gapps before backing up the bloatware. Flashable zip would be appreciated. Have a nice day everyone
Here it is, gallery2 apk (stock EMUI 5.0.1 gallery app) compressed into a flashable zip.
The zip was created with App2zip from Play Store; i own a BLN-L21 6X, so if your build number is different from mine i can't ensure it'll works. It could give error while installing package due unmatching build no, but i hope it'll works :fingers-crossed:

Answering to your first question, write your build number here and if it should match mine, i'll provide an OEMINFO flashable zip to restoring your device to B360. Second, what do you mean with "can't install the TWRP"? I always used OpenKirin's too and never missed a shot.

And that is probably because your oem unlock option was off when you restored the TWRP backup, be sure to have always enabled FRP and OEM unlock for cases like this in future... Anyway, to make that option switchable again, you need to relock your bootloader, tick OEM unlock and then unlock it again. If it's grayed out it means that bootloader was already unlocked, so you should be able to use adb/fastboot commands from terminal to relock/unlock it again.

Huawei watch 2 firmware on 4g version.

Hi. I was just wondering is it possible to install huawei watch 2 rom on 4g version. I assume that It would loose 4g conectivity but is it even possible without bricking the watch?
Thank You
I have the same situation as you, no 4g Internet connection after updated to Oreo, try all the roms here in the forum but still no 4g Internet connection, if you try to flash the Bluetooth version of Huawei watch2 roms, you will lost the sim card function, of course you can try it but remember DO NOT flash the BOOTLOADER coz it will brick your watch!!
Also , I tried to flash back to watch 2 4g Nougat 7.1.1 but when I try to flash the bootloader , the device not allow to downgrade the BOOTLOADER to 7.1.1, but you can still flash the rest imgs ( boot, system, userdata, recovery) to get back to Nougat, but after flashing back the 4g Internet connection still not working.
If someone have any solutions, please share and let us know:crying:
Thanks

Yes use Fastboot only. If it fails though there is no fixing it so I am not responsible for your actions. Only flash with a reliable usb

Thanks , btw just wondering what is the extension of the aboot, img or bin? I think I will not flash it, and just bring it to the Huawei repair center.
Thanks for your help

It's an elf afaik, but maybe a bin...
Btw Huawei will charge you - if the bootloader is unlocked you have no warranty.
Finally fixed it by sent it back to Huawei service centre:good: thanks

Downgrade from 9.0.2 to 9.0.1?

Hi, just tried to do this by flashing the old zip trough TWRP, but i always end to boot in recovery, maybe i'm doing something wrong...?
I tried this today and happened the same, i guess you have to clean flash to downgrade.
Also a tip, if you got stuck in recovery and yet cannot decrypt (doesn't ask for password/pin in TWRP), boot to fastboot mode, use the command "fastboot boot <the img file name for twrp>" so that you can boot directly to the img file from your PC. This way it will ask for your password.

You might try flashing again when you get booted back to TWRP. That way, you can get 9.01 flashed to both slots if it's not already. No guarantees, but it's worth a try.

I tried this way too but keep getting booted back to TWRP. Even did a wipe of the caches, system and data (not internal storage).
Is there anything I can still try?

Backup all your data outside the phone and flash a fastboot rom, it worked with me stuck in fastboot and I got back from that horrible 9.0.2

Keyboard continuously crash 'cause the new gesture system, that have longer animations and the recent app one loses the vibration feedback and it' s also a lot confusing.
Anyway you can read the same things in the ota's thread, unfortunately are widespread problems

I think they pushed the update too fast from beta to stable... But yes, agree with the gestures bug... Its a fact, but the other stuff is good

Can you link me to the exact fastboot rom you flashed? Some said I have to use the downgrade zip from OnePlus to Oreo 5.1.1 then only upgrade to 9.0.1. The OP of the fastboot rom said the rom is not for downgrading.
Did you downgrade to Oreo first or directly flash the 9.0.1 fastboot rom?

I've wiped everything, then downgraded to Pie directly, but I was in a slightly different situation (only fastboot available).
Just to be sure flash the Oreo one and then upgrade to Pie.
With the whole A/B partition layout it should be easier to downgrade too right?
