Hi guys,
I just bought a frd-al00, I've seen in another thread that changing regions is possible so could someone please show me how to change my firmware to a European version?
Thanks
ps: sorry if this thread already exists or if it's posted in the wrong area
I really don't recommend doing this as you will void the retailer's warranty.

In all honesty, I really don't mind
I plan to root afterwards anyway
idk how to do it but if you said there is another thread talking about it, then wouldnt it be easier to ask the question there?
It's too hard go do so.
But no one made a guide specifically for the honor 8. There's a similar guide for the 5x (Again don't try it as there's no guide for our device)

Even if it's hard I still really want to do it
I can't stand having Chinese on my phone when I don't understand it

The problem is there's no method specifically for the honor 8, there's one for the honor 5x (I think it can work)
Make sure to backup EVERYTHING, if you want to do it
Hi guys, has anyone flashed a Chinese version of a phone with a global ROM. I have a Vivo Nex Dual Display but everything is in Chinese. Just wondering if it was possible to flash a global ROM on there. I don't even know if the bootloader is unlocked etc because everything is in Chinese.

Personally I did that on my OnePlus 8, but you're posting your question on the wrong section, next time be careful on that.
Just find out it's not possible for Vivo phones:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/vivo-nex-global-rom-t3818470/
"I asked Vivo about firmware change. They said it is not possible, if I want to have firmware from India I have to buy phone in India, phones from China can have only Chinese firmware"

Emmm...ok. I would have never thought to post about flashing a Vivo phone in the OnePlus section lol
Thanks for the new link, that's working and I guess you can't flash Vivo. Some people are giving solutions but it's not as simple as just flashing a new ROM.
:highfive:

it is still possible to convert a T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro to an International Version, I was doing some research and trying to find a why to remove Oneplus 7 pro T-Mobile bloatware and thats when I came across this post:
It's now possible for the T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro to install international firmware without waiting
If you have a T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro, there's some good news. You can now install international firmware on it without waiting to SIM unlock.

this was great and all however this was back in 2019, I followed a video tutorial were that post was used and I even tried it for myself but in the video the guy had a lot of other files that were not there when I tried to download them. If you guys get a chance I would love to know if it is still possible for me to remove the T-Mobile bloatware at the present day, thank you.
I just went through the guide yesterday! It still works. I did have issues with drivers,(updating through windows update fixed) getting stuck where it wouldn't find the device in EDL mode.
If you need any help let me know

Have a OnePlus 9 Pro. Lost my dual sim function after updating to Android 13 in a weird way (it was ok at first). Now it shows only one. I want to revert to the European LE2123 as saw it can support it. I am in Hong Kong and seems this is the best option as I don't need the India version and I don't necessarily need Chinese (at least I don't read Chinese).
I have searched and gone down too many rabbit holes- so hope someone has been there already and can guide me.
Thanks!
David
Go to the 9 pro forum this is for the regular 9
