video calls on Verizon - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Can someone on Verizon confirm if the op7 pro can switch to video calls while on a call with another Verizon caller?
I currently have a pixel 2xl and my wife is using a lg g6 and we can switch over to video while on a call.
I know we could use duo, but that's just another messaging app I don't want to use.
Thanks for any help you can give

Can You Use The New Nexus 7 As A Phone?

Could you use the new Nexus 7 as a phone? I know it will come with LTE but will the modem support voice/sms? I know you can with google voice but can you insert a regular sim (from an i717) and use it like you can the Note 10.1? I understand that it obviously has it's downsides (vibration, crappy cameras, huge) but I'm curious. It's either a small tablet or what on the Note 3.

[Q] Straight Talk Voicemail App

I have my Nexus 5 on straight talk with an AT&T Sim installed. I am looking for an app that downloads my voicemail to my phone so I can listen to it without having to call my voicemail. I had this on my old Motorola Photon (stock) with Sprint.
What do you all recommend?
Anyone?

[Q] Verizon Messages on 2 phones

While waiting to purchase a new phone coming out soon, I'm still on the razr hd maxx.
I have a Sprint galaxy S4 that I would rather use, so I was going to leave the razr in wifi-tether mode always, and use the GS4 for texts, and browsing, I rarely get calls.
Previously this was easy to do using google voice & keep my sprint number since they work together. Now that I ported my # to verizon, I can't use that same # doing this method.
I thought the Verizon Messages app would work perfectly, however when I load that app on the GS4, the app knows its a phone and won't allow me to add it like I would a tablet to link to my vzw account.
The device spoofer app did not work successfully for this, I copied the data of vzw messages app from the razr to gs4, but that causes FC's.
Any other method I can use my verizon # for sending/receiving texts on my GS4 connected to wifi? I don't mind answering calls on the razr.
Thanks :good:

Question Unlocked vs. Verizon variant differences

Has anyone tried the unlocked version on Verizon? Does that phone still lose video chat in a call, hd calls, etc. like past models did?
Have you noticed any differences?
I get mine on Tuesday and will be trying this setup. Im sure DUO will work in place of verizons video chat anyway.
I do prefer Duo if I'm planning to video chat, but it's nice to be able to turn the camera on during a phone call if I need to for some reason. Also, I'm more worried about losing HD voice and some other features, or getting one with an Exynos processor.

Question Factory Network Unlocked 22 Ultra on Tmobile, missing services?

I've been thinking of upgrading my S21 Ultra to the s22 ultra. I was disappointed when I saw that Grey color was exclusive for factory unlocked models. In the past my factory S10 would not support intra network (no app needed) video calling. No amount of flashing would enable that one feature. So I bought the Tmobile branded S21. Is this still the case with the S22? I like the Grey colorway by far but would settle for a white phone. But I want the integrated video calling.
Any help is appreciated.
Carrier video calling will only work with carrier branded phones so both you and the receiving ends would need to be on T-Mobile. There is no way to get around that if you plan to use video calling with non-Tmobile phones (ie ATT, Verizon, etc). The only way to get around that is just use third party app for video calling. Duo is probably what you want to use. Use google's dialer (instead of Samsung's own dialer) and when you initiate the video calling, it will launch Google Duo.
