What about the sound flash issue?, Did you had any problems?.
My phone was bought in Miami, but is S7500L, in fact on the back where is the battery, the information is in spanish.
In Settings I can see this:
Android version: 2.3.6
Baseband version: S7500LVJLB1
Kernel version: 2.6.38.6 [email protected]#1
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.VJLB1
Baseband information and this post suggest that it have Trinidad and Tobago firmware or something like that.

No sound problems, nothing. Apart from the yellow triangle, but it doesn't do anything and it's barely visible.
The only bad thing (my fault though) is that I deleted Gallery3D.apk and TwWallpaperChooser.apk and now I can't change the lock screen wallpaper. I use QuickPic for photos and it doesnt have the lock screen option, only contact photo and phone wallpaper.

Hi,
i used a modified boot.img to root the phone.
I did it on my own for the phone i've bought at cect-shop.com (see above) so i'm not sure that it will work on other i9300s too.
I recommend to save your own boot.img first using the readback function from the flashtool with startadress:0x0000000000f88000 and lenght 0x00600000.
You are using this file on your own risk, good luck !

Take a look into ColonelZaps blog : http://colonelzap.blogspot.de/2012/07/star-note-ii-n9770-mt6577-dual-core.html
It's the same way, just use the i9300 boot.img instead of the one from the blog.
How to read your boot.img per readback should be clear if you play around a bit with the flashtool.
re
i make all of step but, i change the n9770root.zip by the boot of your boot.img ? how can i save my boot img of the no root phone ?

n9770root.zip includes all what you need, drivers (maybe the most difficult part), flashtool and a boot.img. This boot.img must be swapped with my file. You can do this by doubleclicking the boot.img in the flashttool after loading the scatterfile. Try it out, you can't harm anything as long as the phone is not connected.
When you opend the flastool you will find a button labeled with 'readback'. Click it, than press 'add' and enter the adresse and length. if you finished that press readback and the tool will read your boot.img to your harddisc.

You have to load the scatterfile, change the boot.img, then first press 'download' before you connect your phone which have to be off.
The download should start automaticly, if not or if an error-window appears the driver is not installed correctly.
I wasn't able to install the driver on 2 Windows 7 PCs. I reactivated my old Windows XP PC and was succesfull. It seems to be a bit difficult to install the driver.
The adresse and length should be the same on every MTK6577 phone, you had to connect your phone as the last step. Doesn't matter if you want to download or readback.
I know no other way to root a MTK6577 phone than flashing a rootet boot.img, it was easier on MTK6575 phones.
if i understand, i open flashtool, i make all like you say (boot img, scartet fil...), i click on download, i click on yes and i connect my phone (with or without batterie) ?
and i don't understand for save my boot ?

Yes, connecting the phone should be the last step. Take the battery out for a second to reset the phone and put it back before connecting it.
As you say you are an android noob i would urgently recommend to make a backup first.
Start the flash-tool -> load the scatter-file -> click on 'Read back' -> click on 'Add' -> doubleclick the new entry -> give a name for your backup -> enter start-adress and length -> click ok -> click on readback button -> connect your phone.
If the driver is correctly installed the tool starts automaticly. The result should be a file with a bit more than 6MB.

For google play to work it needs some other apps that are hidden. The best would be to flash gapps package for your phone. This will require root. But just so you know, Google Play and all other dependecies (apps that google play needs to work) MUST be installed on the /system partition to work. This also requires root making the only way of proprely installing Google Play possible only with root (or a just a custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP)

Go to internet browser to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2784451&d=1402084843
Install the apk to your phone.
Open it. There should be a few options.

Try pressing all of them one by one. If it says Root Sucessfull on one of the buttons just turn off your phone and turn it back on.

Imei is the least of your problems, you can brick your device making it completely useless. But that is VERY unlikely with the Framaroot. Cant you just write down your imei number on a peace of paper? To get the number you dial *#06*
Anyways I have rooted many devices and never got a hard brick. I had a soft-brick countless times but I know how to fix it.
Keep in mind that rooting will void your warranty but it shouldn't break anything (in most cases).

If you have tried it I recommend using iRoot (previously known as vRoot) or if that fails try Kingo Root.
Make sure you have installed ADB Drivers and Google's USB Drivers installed. Here's a 15 second installer.

I tried flashing the update.zip via twrp, that resulted in removing the entire OS, but not installing a new one. I think it also broke the vendor partition since i cant restore backups, I always get the error "vendor partition failed to mount". I am looking further into it a wil keep you updated how it works out. Be careful!
If you want to update, download and flash all updates (3) and not only one !

I did, but I got errors after the first one so i could not install the others. I will however try again after formatting all data.
Hmmm
Update version goes from B399 to B140??
Oreo maybe !
No **** guys, DO NOT FLASH THIS VIA TWRP. Go with dload instead. I am currently recovering my phone with DC Phoenix because nothing else worked out.
The update is only for security patches.. That's what ff sais...
Same changelog as always... any difference between B399 and B140? Also, why we got incremental number in previous builds (B360, B394, B399) then we're going back to B140 now?
mie nu mi a venit nici 399 , sunt la 398 ...

Bricked U11+. Asia HK CHT RUU

Does anyone have a link for the an RUU for the Asian variant of this device (1.24.400.3). Ran into some trouble last night and can no longer boot. I finally got the recovery back but still have the "This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked" message. Any help would be great.

The previous version to it was (1.24.400.2) which was floating online but it seems it's not the case anymore, if you can manage to find it you can update afterwards to (1.24.400.3) easily.
The stock rom zip file for (1.24.400.2) was named:
"2Q4DIMG_OCEAN_M_DUGL_O80_SENSE90GP_HTC_India_SEA_1.24.400.2_Radio_8998-002772-1712011153_release_519104_signed_2_4.zip"
There is the latest Europe update version(1.24.401.2) which i think it should work with your phone. Just rename the rom to "2Q4DIMG.zip" put it in the SDcard and flash it, hopefully it will work out.
The link to the update:

Personally i didn't change so i can't speak from experience but it looks like it's possible, check the post by @allanon https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77102169&postcount=2 it should help you out. Good Luck
Personally i don't think it's worth the hassle because we will get the update eventually it's not like HTC is releasing frequent updates.

Is your imei still intact if not i am afraid it could be corrupted, which could mean you need to send your phone for service. Some phone brands give the same error if you root your device but from what i read so far you get this error if your EFS partition is corrupted.

I don't know, I'll have to check. If it's not, is there any way around sending it back ?

I am not aware of a way if it's the case. Hopefully i am wrong. If you can use your Wifi, Sim card Data, Bluetooth ... then your EFS isn't corrupted.
