Coming from Xiaomi and Oneplus, both offering a native app lock option. I am just having my Note 10 since yesterday and running 10 Beta but cannot find anything that looks like app lock settings.
Please advice whether there ist anything coming with this phone....no third party app!!!!! must bei native and no secured folder stuff....need to have Outlook,. WhatsApp etc in the Home-Screen.

App Lock is there , I'm using it
But you have to enable it , using a CSC features manager , like the one on the picture

Are you on Pie or already on Android 10....most likely the app is not ready for Android 10, always shutting down.....

Still using Pie
I'm using one hand operation + with gesture to lock screen. It is samsung own software so that you can open phone with fingerprint
just to refresh my question......unfortunately the proposed CSC manager is not supported by Androis 10 and most likely will never get updated anymore... ...any other tool or way that I can get this feature activated.
or would it be helpfull to change region, as app-lock seems to be available in other regions.

I'm no expert , but if you root your device , and the app is still (hidden and disabled) there . I don't see any problems for someone with skills or the "know how" to unhide it and make it available .

Yeh, it does some stuff with a private Youtube API that involves sending a hashed version of your IMEI to the server to verify your device for access.

Not really - the device uses the HTC Drivers to turn on the flash LED. However, davux has a perfectly-working cross-device flashlight app that turns on the LED using the extended media API, available from here.

Thank you for the clarification
I've already installed the app you've mentioned. It's working fine but still has the problem that the app is being "revoked" when the phone locks itself (when connected to Zune).
It just would have been nice to have a flashlight app that is still working when the phone relocks -I merely used the unlock to deploy my ringtones.

The sideloaded HTC app will still be revoked.

You need to prevent that your device locks itself. There are tools you can use, like this one.
By the way, if you're looking for other HTC apps for your Samsung, then you can try the HTC Hub and HTC Notes.

HI everyone! I bet that a lot of us have a smartphone and a tablet, maybe for work, for gaming, or maybe just to have a better experience with a large screen device. it depends. Everyone also has Whatsapp to get in touch with friends on their phone, but i know that a lot of people wanted to use it also on tablets. For those who already tried it, i know too, there's a way to make it work and it's called "Chrome". In Chrome you can use "Request as a Desktop Site" to reach your goal but..who would like to have always open a browser that consumes RAM and battery? No one i guess. So i decided to make an app that let you Whatsapp Web on your Tablet/Phablet without the need of using a browser. Obviously it consumes less resources and it's battery friendly. Very simple.
1) Install the app
2) Open it
3) Scan the QR code with your smartphone
4) Have fun!

THE APP HAS BEEN TESTED WITH A COUPLE OF TABLETS SUCH AS GALAXY TAB S2, GALAXY TAB 3, GALAXY TB S. It's simple, user cannot use whatsapp without a verification and cannot use one account on multiple devices. If you go on your pc to this website "web.whatsapp.com" you'll see the qr code to be scanned. This step is necessary and allows the connection between your phone and whatsapp web. Unfortunately this cannot be avoided. This app "wraps" the desktop site of whatsapp web and allows users with a tablet without 4g to use it on their devices without the need of a Pc and, obviously on the go. The app is designed for tablet and phablet devices because it works best in landscape mode (on big screens). However it seems to be a webview problem. Unfortunately it's not an app bug, so i don't know if i can make something to workaround this issue. I'll try

Hi, more explanation on the non-exit issue:
When I hit the Back-Button, the thin dark green line in the top area flashes shortly. So pushing button seems to be recognized, but nothing happens.

I love this app, thank you for sharing.
Works well on my Tab S2. I have a small problem though, sending/attaching photos does not work. I tap the paperclip icon then tap 'Photos and Videos', I can choose a photo from any source yet it does not do anything after that.
There is another similar app on the market called WhatsTablet where photo sending does work, but your app starts faster and looks better!

Hi, long time ago i purchased from codecanyon a template app called web2app (because i was new to android developement) . Unfortunately the twmplate wasn't showing pages in "Desktop" view, and i needed it for that. So i spent a few hours to learn and modify the code to make it work and show correctly desktop sites. I am really tired of looking for the power button every time or having to pick up my phone and unlock it with the fingerprint... Why we should install a separate app that's not that optimized and have one app more taking place, when they can work on it and do it the right way?

I was surprised too.. They removed every possible and useful way of checking your notifications.. No wave, double tap, raise to wake the screen... And there are many stuff that no one use but they still keep them...
I have a buddy who bought his S8+ in Singapore and his come integrated with a Samsungs Smart Caller Feature.
Based on quick research it seems it is Hiya app integrated in the Dialer. Phones that ha e this feature havd a tab on the Dialer called "Places".
My phone lacks this feature and had no option to turn it on.
Anyone else have any experience with this and maybe found a way to enable this?
To the senior members and developers:
Anyways to add this via an apk or will I have to flash a new ROM? I do not want to lose my Samsung Pay.
I have added Hiya and it works but the lack of integration really irritates me.

but Hiya works fine.!
I also know that Hiya must support your
country data base etc , to work.
I don't have extra, Hiya app installed as
3rd party app.

Halfway down ... Caller ID and spam protection?
If not it seems like your.... Rom /carrier
(might) have blocked it, for some reason?
I'm on Verizon, and they sell a caller-id app for a monthly fee, so I don't even need to check to see if the free, built-in Samsung feature has been disabled.
I live in the US and imported a S8+ 955FD, and I have the places tab:

Hiya ,does not officially support your country database ,
which you claim Hiya does ?
I would check with Hiya website /email them ?
Maybe ask them why ?
If you got a carrier branded Rom ,then your carrier choose not to included it in their branded supported Rom .
I would then query them ,why services is not available or included in Rom
If you choose this option ,
make sure you query someone (in carrier service that should know reason )
and not some ignorant person ,just guessing why not .!
Remember /bear in mind,
that flashing another Rom, does not always guarantee , to fix issue . !!!

I've got a TMO S8+ and hadn't enabled it yet. Looks like it has to be set up and may be carrier specific.
Oh and Funk, you should try Arepa Mia, my fiancee and I go there all the time. It's amazing.

smart call integration
I have a question about smart call integration.
Not sure how to activate this but I can tell you for sure it is blocked by the carrier for conflict of interests. Since they do have a paid service for this. This feature has been available since Marshmallow. It started back when I had my s6.

Places activation seems to be determined by CSC (similar to Samsung Pay) . I imported a 955FD and it didn't come with Places activated because it was running the TPA CSC firmware. After I odin flashed a XSA CSC firmware, Places shows up and functions (but everything is in meters).

( i am on another theme at moment )

But it does not stop you from "trail /test " of theme .

This tread doesn't seem to be active much, but I am planning to flash my phone to T-Mobile and wanted to ask T-Mobile USA users if they have "Identify Spam Numbers" or similar option. This option should be in phone app, then ..., then settings and there should be a toggle for it.
I remember the AT&T version having it. But I switched to the Exynos version so now I'm missing that feature.

As you may have noticed, there is a way to activate the new RCS messaging service. There are a lot of guides on the internet but only this one worked perfectly on my N7 +. It's from the droi-life site and all the merits and credits are them. Below I leave a screenshot to prove it is enabled.
Turn off WiFi
Enroll in the Google Messages Beta (Play Link)
You might need to update Messages after enrolling in the beta
Restart your phone
Clear storage for Messages and Carrier Services (Settings>Apps> find each app and clear storage)
Install Activity Launcher and open it (Play Link)
Tap the top menu and choose “All activities”
Find Messages
Find “Set RCS Flags” and tap it
In ACS Url, choose “http://rcs-acs-prod-us.sandbox.google.com/”
In OTP Pattern, choose “Your\sMessenger\sverification\scode\sis\sG-(\d{6})”
Tap Apply
Close all apps open
Open Messages
You should now see a pop-up to “Upgrade Now” to RCS

I eventually got mine verified but now getting a message saying "unavailable for this device". Im with 3 in Ireland. What network are you on?
