Replacement Battery from AliExpress - 3800mAh - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Accessories

Hey guys!
Has anyone already bought one of those "3800mAh" replacement batteries from AliExpress? For example that one:
https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/cLO9izmIJ
I wonder if any seller is offering a "real" battery with higher capacity.
Thanks

1. Link does not work for me. Main web of aliexpress opens.
2. I don't think it is a good idea to change battery for some other I would propose you to buy quick charge charger or power bank. I know that is not the resolution but it is safe instead of battery interference.

So you are saying that if your battery is bad you should buy a power bank? Do you even know what you are saying? That is the most ridiculous thing ever.
I just bought my friend a battery for his mi a2 lite from aliexpress and it works great.
His old battery was so bad that it only powered the device for 1 or 2 minutes, so he had to replace it.
Powerbank is not a solution.

What seems odd is that the 3800 mAh batteries I can see there are supposed to have the same model number as the original one (BN36).
Don't think they offer an actual upgrade.
For the Mi 5, the community was pretty agreed on Nohon batteries as a high quality replacement (not upgrade).
Maybe the same goes for the Mi A2, but I don't know.

Should i order one?

Just FYI, all batteries on the market for Xiaomi phones with unreplacable battery are fakes, even if they have the same labels. Xiaomi doesn't sell batteries by itself. The only way to get genuine batteries is to buy it (or warranty) from official Xiaomi Service Centers.
That said, I've had mixed success buying aftermarket brand batteries for smartphones throughout the years. I had a battery came dead from Aliexpress. They sent a replacement, which worked, but after several months it drains like crazy. In other cases, they worked well enough for at most 6 months until they start dropping charges. Also I had one where the supposedly "new" battery holds charge as little as the old genuine battery that needed replacement, so it provides no improvements.
In total, I probably bought around more than 20 after-market batteries for at least 10 different phones in the last 15 years: Motorola Droid 2, Nexus 4, Redmi Note 1, Note 3, Note 4, Mi 3, OnePlus One, Galaxy S4, and for countless Nokia dumbphones. None proved to be their stated mAH rating. And none lasted more than the original battery lasted (both standby time and durability). On the bright side, if it's cheap enough, and if it can make an otherwise dead phone to last 6 more months, then why not?
Also, a thing of note, it's not always the battery's fault when the phone can't hold a charge. A defective/burnt charging IC caused by cheap charger/cable with unstable current supply could also make the battery dies quicker.
In my opinion, the best course of action is to make sure to always use high quality, original chargers and cables. If you have to buy another charger, buy original from the manufacturer or from a reputable after-market brands like Anker, Aukey, etc. And if after two years the battery's dying, then just buy a new phone as it probably won't get upgraded anymore and most likely is too slow for current apps.

I have buy this, but I think the problem is with my phone. because even after the exchange, I can't have more than 3 hrs of screen. I don't think it's the battery, because in the accubattery it shows that the estimated capacity is 3800 and a little. I'm very dissatisfied with this cell phone, Mine gets too hot, and the discharge is quick

Is new battery giving good performance? Was it original or they just gave you duplicate battery?

Mugen battery - a dud.

First of all let me say that I don't know if this is a one off - or what the customer service is going to be like.
However, I thought that I would flag this up straightaway because I know that lots of people seem to be talking about ordering these very expensive batteries as an answer to DHD short battery life problems.
I waited for about 3 weeks for delivery of this 1500ma battery which I ordered directly from the Mugen site.
It arrived today but it is clear that it is faulty. It won't hold its charge. It has been on mains charge with phone switched off for about 8 hours and now the widget tell me that it is only about 25% charged and going down pretty fast.
I've emailed Mugen and I'll let people know how they respond
Woke up this morning to find an email from Mugen telling me that they will send me anolther one.
No word on whether I had to return the dud. I emailed them to ask them.
Anyway, so far so good.
Quick response. Hope that I don't have to wait for the replacement as long as I did for the first one.
The dud battery doesn't do anything now. No charging lights - nothing. Completely dead.
Just had an email asking me to send back the original. A bit of a nuisance. I kow that it is entirely correct that he should be sent back the original but for these prices the batteries shoujld be tested, the transaction should be straightforward and a pleasure.
So far, it is all frustrating and a nuisance
Nothing has been said about refunding me the cost of the battery to HK.
Thanks for informing us. I was wary about ordering one of these. Please let us know if the replacement is better.
Well, **** happens in mass manufacturing - but it's good to see they are responsive.
I'd say the minimum expectation is that it performs the same as the stock battery, so it'll be interesting to see how the new one is.
well I would hope that you would perform better than a stock battery. It is very expensive – and about $46 and I had to wait nearly 4 weeks for its delivery, and then I had to ask for another one and I'm still waiting.
I managed to buy replacement stock batteries for less than $20.
and also, I don't know if I'm going to get back the cost of returning the dud.
I can't see any 1500mAh batteries for HTC Desire HD on the mugen website, do you mean their 1300mAh battery?
No. 1500
*******
Hello all,
A link for 1500 ?
Great news. I've received the replacement battery.
No word about reimbursing me for the postage costs for sending the dud back though. However, it wasn't that much and if this one works well, I'll be happy.
It is on charge and seems to be charging up well. I have no instruments to measure it so I will simply have to let people know my impressions as it goes along.
It is a 1500
I have one also. Definitely a 1500. My current full charge status is at 88% after 5 hours, and the screen has been on for 2 hours. It's had its cycle of at least 5 full charges (recommended by Mugen), and the last time I put it on the charger was at 15% after 36 hours, and just under 5 hours of screen on time. My screen brightness is not really low either. I have it set at 60%. I'm very happy with it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12085610&postcount=269
could you please provide a link?
So far this battery looks very promising. It hasn't been through several cycles yet but it already seems to me to last longer than the stock battery - which had been recycled at least 40 times

Can you send me a current widget log of a full charge cycle once you condition the battery? I've calculated the OEM battery capacity of a 6 months old battery and it's 1121 mAh. That is the usable battery capacity (who cares if there is still some charge in the battery if the phone can't use it?) so it would be interesting to see if Mugen made anything better.
Looking forward to hear some news

Any news on this? I'm also curious to know. Thanks
Sounds promising. Strange that they pulled it from their site and someone else mentioned they are releasing this mid-April now.
Hi Guys.
I just wanted to show that in the past I've had very good dealings with Mugen Power Batteries.
You can read this post from a couple of years ago. The phone and forum were different. The Sales person after I asked him via email - even promised me a spare replacement cover, (so 2 new covers) one which arrived separately some time later.
Nothing but a great experience for me as a company and they clearly step up to the plate.

possible to get a link for the 1500? I find only the 1300 on the mugen website

What battery should I buy?

My stock battery is shot. It will drain from fully charged down to nothing in an hour of browsing the net. I have tried everything to calibrate it and have tried different ROMs but still the drain is horrible.
I saw a 1900 anchor (ankor?) battery on amazon for $19. Is that the one that everyone buys?

Yes. http://www.amazon.com/Anker-1900mAh-Battery-Sensation-Mytouch/dp/B0053EZJMC
It works great. Though l don't use my phone heavily. I mostly use it at home when phone is plugged in. But still it last much longer than stock.
Most people buy Anker battery and are very happy with it. I personally wanted more juice so I bought Mugen 3800mah battery. With Mugen I get with extremely heavy use around 26 hours of use. With moderate use I get around 36 hours. Light use 48 hours. But one problem with mugen is you will have to replace your back cover and your phone will be thicker to accommodate the battery. For me personally, I was after extreme battery life so the thicker phone didn't bother me at all. Another issue is price. Mugen is five times more expensive than Anker. But for me, I'm keeping my phone for awhile so it was a investment. But most don't want to deal with those issues so they choose Anker. It all depends on what you want. I recommend you start with anker, then if you decide you want more juice, go with mugen. But for most Anker is just fine. It's a good battery and will give you extended use. If you want extremely long battery life, go with mugen.

This is probably a stupid question but you can charge the battery by plugging your phone in like usual right? I see that some of them come with a wall charger where you have to plug the actual battery into that.

Thanks for the response but I think that is a little overkill. I will probably get a new phone before that kind of price is worth it.

Yes. Anker simply replaces your stock battery. Same shape size.
Is this Anker really that good? Beacuse I always buy the batterys from ebay (just like the ones for my DSLR) and have now a no brand 2430mAh using for almost a year and can use it a whole day without problems. Costs me only $12 and free shipping.
I bought 2 Anker batteries and a charger for $30US, I think. No regrets.

I bought my Anker 1 year ago and it still pretty good!
Get Anker.
An important thing to consider is anker has a 1 year warranty. And they WILL honor their warranty. I bought 6 batteries for my families LG Optimus Vs (Our first smartphones) and 1 battery went bad after like 6 months. I called them up a few months later when I realized I had a warranty, and they sent me replacement! (it was like 1 month before my warranty ended) And all they wanted was the serial numbers of the old batteries, however the original ones didn't have numbers so they instead just wanted a photo. (Which now that I think about it I never sent... ...)
Also, one of the chargers (that I bought with 2 batteries, a few months before that set of batteries I mentioned above) fried for some reason after about 8 months. So I left it on the shelf hoping I might be able to fix it. By the time I realized I had the warranty it had been over a year since my purchase. Bummer. So I called them up explained it went bad several months ago but I didn't know about the warranty, could they send me a replacement? And even though I was no longer in my warranty they sent me a new one.
Another thing is, for me, having spare batteries is a MUST as I have a LOT of free time at work. (I'm a background actor, and most of the time we have to do whatever we want) And continuous use (Browsing the web, playing games, reading news, watching TED AIR talks) drains a battery in 3 - 5 hours. And it can sometimes be 16 hour days, with no place nearby to plug in a charger. That's another awesome thing about Anker sets, the stand alone charger. I have MANY times been at work with one of my batteries dead. I looked for and found an outlet, a little far from holding, (where we are while we aren't working) and just plugged a dead battery into the stand alone charger and into the outlet. I can go to work or just go about my business not tethered to the wall, and 3 hours later my battery is charged. I then would switch one of my more drained batteries for it and continue like that.
So ultimately its up to you, but I would recommend getting a set of 2 Anker 1900mah batteries and a charger for $30. However if the charger isn't a big deal for you then look up some $7 Evo 3D batteries on Amazon. They are 1730mah, and are pretty decent.
Bragging here, I currently have around 10 batteries! Only 2 are anker. the others are 5 EVO 3D and 3 Sensation stock batteries I got for only $2 each! I found someone on Amazon selling them for $2 each with $4.50 shipping, only the shipping combined! So I got 8 batteries AND five 16GB Class 4 Sandisk MicroSDs for only $54 total. What a deal. lol.

Looking for a replacement battery

My battery life has suddenly got worse. Looking for a solid OEM replacement that will fit under the OEM back cover while providing more MAH would be nice. Any recommendations?

Got my battery from local battery store. (Can't say the name). But OEM equivalent. I would have ordered from online but I couldn't at the moment. (Was planning Amazon)
Didn't care for BIGGER batteries, because I didn't want to add more bulk to the device. Besides proper kernel to recognize and utilise the EXTRA capacity.
So with my "oem equivalent battery", from 6 hours max SOT I've got 10 hours, just like when I first got the device.
Time, use and heat will wear your battery out.
6-10 was during personal specific use.
"Because I could waste battery from 2.5-3.5."
I recommend Amazon/eBay equivalent" Money back guarantee..
Unless you are looking for higher mah.
You can easily get a official OEM battery online, just make sure that you are purchasing it from a reputable online retailer. I'd recommend getting the Note 4 Battery Kit as you will also get a battery charging cradle along with your battery.
mine had the same issue , replaced it with a new original one for around 20$ , now phone is back to normal with around 12~16 hours

I'll recommend getting a new OEM battery or getting Anker (I got multiple Ankers and have excellent results) if you want the same back.
Trust me, new battery (even with same 3220 mAH) will definitely show noticeable difference to your battery life.
For higher capacity, I've heard good things about zerolemon but it uses a different cover.
You will find many batteries in eBay claiming to be of more capacity with the same dimensions (hence fitting the OEM back cover).
Do NOT believe those claims. The battery technology has advanced, but only in terms of cost per Watts. The energy density (Watts per unit volume) is still the same.
You can tweak the circuitry to show more charge than actually there is. It'll result in unreliable numbers (e.g. battery going directly from 20 to 0 etc). And that is what these so-called same volume higher density batteries do.
Stay away from those and get a good one so that you don't regret it later.
I just replaced mine with an Anker brand from Amazon. It has 4 out of 5 stars, and I think most of the bad reviews are cause people have something else wrong with their phones. Overall, the replacement has been very satisfactory, and I think is more reliable than getting "OEM" version off of ebay (which usually is not OEM).
Fair warning though, I do firmly believe that something happened between kit kat and lollipop, which made battery life not as good. I was expecting to go back to battery life from the kit kat day, but alas, did not happen. Back in those days, I could end the day with 80%+ still on my phone, it was amazing. With the anker replacement, I end with about 50%, which is still better than what my original battery was doing (ending at 20%, then quickly jumping from 20% to 1% and shutting off).

Wait for Marshmallow & Doze. You'll see a huge improvement.
I recently changed my battery. ( My original battery broke)
I ordered Anker battery from Amazon and I am really happy. battery life is same as original battery if not better.
I did not ordered an "original" Samsung battery because many of them are fakes.
+1 for Anker, equal original ! It's quite impossible to find a samsung original battery, all are fake or rubberbished ! Samsung only sells, but it is not available anymore...

Best third party battery for S4 i9505

Hello,
I am looking to replace an OEM Samsung battery in my Galaxy s4 i9505 that has finally bit the dust. I tried the RAVPower battery but it didn't support NFC like the Amazon listing claimed (returned at no charge thankfully).
All I want is a NFC capable battery that lasts as long as a new Samsung one would (if they still made them lol) and can work with Android Pay (running LineageOS with it already installed and ready to go).
I've read some good things about Anker batteries and they seem to meet my needs. Can anyone provide their experiences with them? Are they good batteries? If not, what is a good brand?
Anker and Zerolemon seem to be very popular.
also craftman batteries are really nice and almost the same as original
Just an update. I went with the Anker battery after. NFC works perfectly and battery life is almost as good as a brand new OEM battery (lasts all day under normal usage). Can't complain!

Its an absolute shame that ZeroLemon stopped making the 3000mah battery for the S4 years ago. On amazon they where offering TWO for the price of one PLUS a dual charger deck for I think $15 and like an idiot I didn't buy it, before I knew it, they where sold out and completely disappeared from everywhere including eBay overnight!
I ended up buying the 5200mah Anker battery, which without a doubt is a top battery, never had a problem and lasted at least 8 hours without needing a charge with GPS and screen on throughout. But it was bulky as hell and the back cover was really ugly. However most companies sorted out their battery cover designs in the S5/S6 and above.
For me Anker was better than original.
Hi,
Recently bought a new battery for the I9505 and went with the manufacturer Yanec. From what i can find it is a Dutch company, at least the website redirects to a Dutch website.
It has 2600 mAh, lasts for about 8 hours playing some games, GPS turned off, NFC turned on. Paid around 23 euro for it and i am very satisfied. (How can i not be, my last original battery held charge for 2 min lol)

Orginal baterry mi9t pro

Hello all. Im looking for new orginal baterry for my mi9t pro. Im search but never find orginal product, also on Aliexpress. Thanks for your help and support.
I have bought a new battery pack from Amazon from some unknown seller, the battery died within a week, fast charging doesn't work, and the battery can't hold more than 50% charge. So be aware when you buy batteries that you'll get scammed most likely
Originals are not for sale I believe, never seen one. NoHon is considered to be the only reliable third party battery producer. Check them on Aliexpress. I have one in my Mi 6 and it is still going strong. I always recommend never to use Quick Charge/PD/Fast Charge, etc on a non-original battery.
