Suddenly on my new OP7 Pro streamed audio is being paused in both my cars. Spotify for example can be playing and suddenly it pauses. I have Spotify set to NOT optimize in the Battery section. Not just Spotify other streaming apps which too are set not to optimize.
What am I missing or change change?
I am rooted and running ICE time.

I'm trying to get Pandora to play when opened, I want to use it as my alarm with Tasker.
Thanks!
Mine plays automatically...?
When pandora starts initially it auto-plays however if it is paused and you launch it, it will remain paused. You could have your task kill pandora first.. wait a few seconds... then launch
Is there a music player or codec substitution that draws less current?
When listening to MP3s with the stock player (or any player), I'm guessing it's probably the CODEC that drains the battery. I had a 2nd gen MotoRzr (W490) that I'd play MP3s with, and send audio with a2dp to bluetooth headphones. I could play music for hours with no noticeable impact on battery. When my G2x is behaving, the stock music player drains more than the Bluetooth or WiFi radio - the music player is the biggest single drain on the battery. A little disappointing...
Any suggestions to reduce current draw while listening to music?

I promise you'll be amazed at your battery draw
I listen to my mp3s with Voodoo controls amp powering my Beats By Dre headphones and there is very little battery drainage.
Google Play Music app can resume from where the file was last time paused even after the phone has rebooted.
So it has to save the data to memory. I really like this function. It becomes useful when I listen to 1-2 h long shows, and I have to go somewhere meanwhile, and the app closes.
But what I don't like is the apps interface. Is there other apps that can do so?
I use Google Play Music as a music source. Historically, I would stream music in my car, connected via BT, and when I turned my car off, the music would stop. The next time I started the car, Google Play Music would resume. Since the update to Oreo, when I start the car up, the phone will often times start playing from the built-in music app instead (whatever music file it can find on the phone, sometimes the stock music tracks that came with the phone). I seem to have less than a 50% chance of it resorting to the music player, rather than properly resuming Google Play Music. I've tried setting Google Play Music as the default music app, I've turned off all the power management for GPM, but nothing helps. I've even been sitting at a stop light, play a video in facebook (which causes GPM to pause while audio from the video is being played), and then when the video stops, the music player will start playing a track from the phone, rather than GPM resuming. I never had this issue on Nougat, it started with Oreo. I was in the Oreo beta and reported it, but that beta was a farce.
Has anyone else experienced this? Have you fixed it? It's driving me crazy! (no pun intended)
Is anyone having battery drain issue with music streaming apps?
The screenshots are with like 30min of music playing.
I'm using Bluetooth buds and the eu ROM
Seems about par for the course for streaming music and using Bluetooth. Phone can't sleep and Bluetooth does uses a decent bit of battery.
No way this is correct, almost no screen power consumption
