samsung galaxy grand prime g530 m (problems with roms) - General Questions and Answers

I have tried to install custom roms on my samsung galaxy grand prime g530m device but when I install them they do not pass the rom logo, I have tried to install lineage os (android pie) and resurrection remix (andrioid oreo) and the two remain in the logo of the rom , if I install the custom rom the cell phone returns to normal but I want to update it ...
What solution is there?

First, boot into TWRP and choose the "Backup" option to create a nandroid backup. This backup can be used to restore back what you had when you made the backup, restore this backup whenever you have issues.
When flashing your custom ROM, you need use the factory reset option in TWRP, then wipe the cache partition and the dalvik cache partition before or after you flash the ROM.
Failing to factory reset and wipe the caches causes bootloop(stuck at logo) when flashing a ROM, unless the ROM you are flashing is an updated version of the exact same ROM you already have.
If factory resetting and wiping caches doesn't solve your bootloop, you may need to use the advanced wipes in TWRP to run a full system wipe and then clean flash the ROM. To use the advanced wipes, choose the "Wipe" option in TWRP, then choose the "advanced wipe" option, then choose only the system, data, cache and dalvik cache partitions. Then swipe the slider to wipe, then go back to home page in TWRP flash your ROM.

Help me save my TF101

Well I dont think I totally screwed it up because I am able to get to the recovery but here is the scoop.
I decided I was going to root and install jellybean. So I used the 1 click method to root from [TOOL]"1-Click Transformer Root"-Root/Unroot/cwm/stock rec-TF101(G)/201/300T(G)/SL101 - xda-developers
I did the 1.1 verison. All went well tablet was rooted my stock rom still worked fine.
Then I went to flash jellybean rom which i did this one here v6.0 [ROM][JB][4.1.1] AOSP build #6.0.0 - xda-developers
Before i flashed i made a nand back up. and wiped all cache.
After install of RaymanFX's jellybean rom it got stuck after the splash animation.
I then tried to reflash it. Only to see the same result.
So I cleared all the cache again and ran the nand backup i made now i am stuck at asus splash screen.
Someone please tell me what i am missing.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Copy this ROM to your SDcard or MicroSD card, whichever one you used to hold the ROM the first time
http://downloads.timduru.org/android/tf101/eos4/EOS4.2.2-tf101-20130408_previewB190.zip
Copy these Gapps to the same place
http://goo.im/devs/teameos/roms/eos4/gapps/gapps_4.2.2_TF101_20130323b.zip
Copy this Kernel to the same place
http://downloads.timduru.org/android/tf101/K.A.T/kernel/Tim_KatKernel_102_JB4.2_Lidpatch.zip
Boot into Recovery, Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik Cache
Flash the ROM
Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache only
Flash the Kernel
Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache only
Flash Gapps
Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache only
Reboot
All being well, you will boot into EOS4 (Jellybean 4.2.2)
Also, this tool is the best way to root / flash custom recovery and to unbrick

[Q] Problem With Flashing SCH-I535

The very first ROM I tried to flash was a version of CarbonRom. I was unsuccessful, as i got the installation aborted message. I then tried a couple of other lesser know ones, with the same luck. Lastly I tried CM 10.1, and with that, i had success. It was the only one that would work so far. Yesterday, I downloaded DU 4.2.2, and A new nightly version of Carbon (Specifically for my phone) With no luck of installation. Am i doing something wrong with these? Is there a different method of flashing i'm missing?
what is the procedure you take to install?
I usually go this route:
1) Boot into whatever recovery you have
2) Wipe Cache/Davlik
3) Install custom ROM
4) run a factory reset
5) Reboot

I have Philz custom recovery which based on cwm version 6.0.3.7 which when you tap wipe data you will then have the option to clean install for new ROM.

well we now have 3 custom recoveries to choose from I like the newer one since I can install a new ROM in fewer steps.
i would do a factory reset after you flash your rom too, can't hurt.
of course on updating the same ROM, I only Wipe Cache/Davlik and that's it.
Bad download? Does the md5 match?
after making sure you wiped everything make sure the download itself was proper I am running it flawless right now

Did you factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik/Art cache before you flashed?
When you boot to TWRP, did you select the "Wipe" option, then on the next screen select "advanced wipes", then on the next page select:
system
data
cache
Dalvik/ART cache
Then swipe the slider, then after wipe is finished go back to home screen in TWRP and select "install", then flash your ROM?
Sometimes you have to wipe system and data in addition to factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik/ART cache before flashing a custom ROM.

Do you mean your device is bootlooping after flashing TWRP? Did you make sure your bootloader is unlocked before you flashed TWRP? If the bootloader is locked, flashing TWRP will cause a bootloop or will cause the device to not boot at all.

wipe and flashing is now working but when i flash my 7.1 rom and even my 7.1 nandbackup is now bootloop only the 8.1 is only working now im stuck in unofficial 8.1 with full of bugs i cant downgrade bootloader also
Twrp:
Format cache, systam, data to ext4, reboot bootloader, go to twrp, format all back to f2fs, reboot bl, twrp, flash any custom for N modem.
Apps & data you can restore/extract with titanium backup or nandroid manager app.
Before this you can try restore or flash boot.img(extract from custom.zip), reboot twrp, wipe all & format data then restore your backup. @22pises

Try a smaller Gapps package than the one that you flashed with the ROM. The package you used is probably too large to fit in the system partition along with the ROM.
Or, you didn't factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache when you flashed the ROM. Failing to do those wipes will cause bugs due to the new system conflicting with the saved system data/settings from the previous system. In other words, data left over from the old ROM is causing problems with the new ROM.

Boot back into recovery, then factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache, then reboot.
If that doesn't work, try booting back into recovery then flash the ROM then the Gapps then factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache then reboot.
If that doesn't work, try booting back into recovery, then select the "Wipe" option, then choose the "advanced wipes" option, then choose the system partition, then swipe the slider at the bottom to run the wipe, then try flashing just the ROM but don't flash the Gapps, factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache then reboot. After you get the device booted, you can delete the Gapps file then download a smaller package and put it in your phone's internal storage then boot back into recovery and select the "Install" option, at this point, you already have the ROM installed so no need to flash it again, but you do need to flash the new Gapps file, then factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache.
Do you see how important it is to factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache every time you flash? It is a vital step.

Hey thanks for all these but my device is using cwm right now so can you pls rewrite the instructions for me?
Also i cant finish the setup with all these popups so theres no way i can load files into it.
And yeah i guess i didnt wipe data or caches away after i finished flashing the files.
Thank you so much.
