I'm using A750FN with havoc os gsi.
The camera apps sucks, and can't use super slow motion and portrait mode.
Tried taking backup of camera app in stock ROM with titanium backup but its not restoring it.
Can someone make a flashable zip of the stock camera app with all modes.

Sensation with Reverted AOSP
I was testing out the Miui Camera for CM7. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15307536)
Installed via Root Explorer. Copied original Camera.apk>sdcard, MiuiCameramod>system/app renamed to Camera.apk, changed permissions and owners. Reboot
Camera works fine. Gave me an option to zoom in camera mode and camcorder mode, onscreen. Played around with features.
Decided to revert to Classis CM7 Camera.apk.
Removed Camera.apk (miuimod version), copied Original Camera.apk from sdcard to system/app changed permissions and owners.
Using the stock camera now, the ZOOM of the camcorder is permanently stuck to up. See attached picture.
The zoom bar doesnt move when touched. This only occurs on CM7 ROMs.
Steps Taken to resolve:
Using the Miui ROM, camera has full functionality. Took videos and pictures to try "kick" the hardware back into working order. No difference.
Using the Stock HTC Sense Rom, camera has full functionality. Took videos and pictures, same as above, no kick.
Using CM7 Roms, Video Recording is Zoomed permanently. Tried using different market video apps with mixed recording views. Some zoomed some not.
Reflashing the Same rom does NOT work. Even after Factory Reset + Cache + Dalvik clear.
Updated to bricked kernel. (I thought I might try it as some camera dependancies are from the kernel.
So basically im trying to kick my camera(video recording) hardware out of its permazoomed mode in CM7.
Anyone have any ideas? How would one reset/resolve camera issues?
Also: For you sensation users: DO NOT flash the Miui Camera mod to your phone. Unless you want to be like me, and have a permanently zoomed camcorder.

Flash your RUU, then root again and flash the ROM you had before the mod buggered things up.
OR super wipe and restore your nandroid you took before flashing the mod
1. I am using Yureka. I was on CM 12 and took a back up of my messages using the default Messaging app. Then I flashed RR 5.8.0 (Nougat). Now the default messaging app in this ROM does not have any option to restore/backup messages. So how do I restore my messages? The previous app has created a zip file with 2 files inside it without any extension.
2. Does flashing this ROM automatically root the phone?

Chances are the CM messaging app has a proprietary backup function, and the messaging app on RR does not. So one idea I can think of would be to flash the CM ROM again. (Or restore a backup if you did one through recovery, which is always a good idea before flashing anything) and then restore your messages and backup with a third party sms backup app from the play store. Then flash RR, install the same SMS backup app and restore. Done.
And as far as whether the ROM is pre rooted, I'm sure that info would be found in the Opening post for the ROM. Or at least how to root. Typically flashing SuperSU in the recovery will root you.

Can't seem to open front camera on stock xz premium camera app. Device is rooted I accidently uninstalled it but don't want to reinstall entire rom again. It also won't take video can anyone help? All other apps can use the camera fine just not the sony app

Or install titanium backup and backup all apps, reflash room, reatore apps
Always make a backup first before doing anything. Most especially since you're rooted. It's easy to make a backup in TWRP.
You can reflash the rom without losing any data. Just use flashtool and don't check any of the boxes under "wipe".
To fix this :
You need to take backup of GCAM app in titanium in Oreo and then restore the app+data in p
In case your already on p...ask someone to backup and share files from titanium folder
For ease of use ...I have uploaded the gcam version I use and I have found it to be the best one yet...
Also I'm uploading files necessary to restore in Pie
(Tested on PR1)
1. You need to be rooted with magisk
2. Also flash fix by highway star for treble roms
3. Install titanium backup and open and give root permissions.
4. Extract files from zip file and put it in /titaniumbackup
5. Now open titanium backup and go to backup/restore and scroll to the end ul see the camera option...just click on restore app+data.
6. Let it install and after it installs DO NOT CLICK OPEN
Click on done and then open normally as any app.. Everything should work fine....All though u can't change any settings as it FC..but ive pretty much selected the best settings already..

Settings force close can be solved by this magisk mod.
With the above menrioned mod i could now change settings. HDR+ and potrait works well. However switching between front and rear camera takes a whole 8 seconds. Is there any way to fix it?
Now camera settings works, but video is green. Any fix?

I noticed it just now. Video is green in gcam. But video is fine in the other camera app that installed as part of this mod.
Is this possible or would I have to download another app? I should mention that I'm fully rooted.
