I have WM6 now. it's great but I'm missing old iPhone ROM camera software. Where can I get it? (or at least ateksoft but it doesn't work too good)
hi
download:
http://www.zippyshare.com/v/26451362/Camera4_1_1_.00_Build23355_.rar.html
Thank you very much for your effort
But I cannot run it here. It states it doesn't have some components. I'll check it out.
i found out that GsmAMREnc.dll is missing. Could you somehow extract it from the ROM?
Why not to use a CoolCamera?

let's go
Because it S.U.C.K.S it is the worst camera program ever.
1. It has reversed colours (which is fixable anyway)
2. Invalid orientation (which is also fixable but view goes smaller)
3. 352x288 - max resolution available -.-

not true. its the best camera program ever. i have it and its great. max resolution avaible is not 352x288, its as high has ur camera goes. it wil say the max resolution is 352x288 if you accidently set the camera source to the "front" camera, rather than the "main" camera.
and the screen goes smaller so u can fit it all on the screen. the htc camera software does this too. its the aspect ratio your taking the picture at that effects how you see it on the screen. if you take a 4:3 picture it will fill the whole screen.
the reason it has the revered colors is the way how some camera lens's are made. if it only had 1 option then you might find that some phones it appears right and some it appears wrong. so they add both options.
on my t-mobile sda i take 320x240 12-15fps videos. or if i wanted i could take some 1280x1024 video 1fps lol.
I always get wrong camera orientation
I tried to extract iphone rom by myself. but I get only the most important files like device.exe. All extracted files were 1,75 mb while OS.nb was > 30 mb! what could I do wrong?
OK... coolcamera works somehow for me,.. but i don't like it anyway. Can any1 give me file: gsmamrenc.dll?
Hello All...i newbie here... I like take a picture with my experia Z3, can samebody tell me how to upgrade or modified the Camera for the Best one... Oh ya...if i write with my language whats that will be some problem to Make conversation here..? Thanks 4 ur answer..
You mean the camera app? The Xperia one seems to be crippled in that it can only access the full 20 megapixel in manual mode, auto drops it down to 8 (!!)
But there are some good free and paid-for camera apps that will do full auto at 20 Mp - Camera Fv 5 is good, Archos camera is good..
If you mean upgrade the physical camera - no really possible.
I have tested many of the GCam apps available from the Google Camera Port hub here
The best working one for my Moto G7 Power XT1955-4 is the GCam MOD from the developer arthur.
Test the different settings to choose what is working best for you, especially you can dig in the Advanced settings.
For example you can:
- use the H.265/HEVC format for video;
- get a RAW+JPEG control on your main screen
- get HDR+ (HDR+ and HDR+ enhaced)
- get a Night Sight shortcut for night shooting on the main camera view
- adjust many noise reduction parameters
- change and test the AWB (Default, Pixel 2, Pixel 3)
-change the JPEG quality 90%, 95%, 97% and 100%
- change the HDR+ Enhanced frames: Default=8, Medium=14, High=18, Very high=24
and many more!
You can download the latest version of the GCam back.rider apk from here
Other versions made from other developers can be downloaded from Google Camera Port hub

EDIT August 2020:
From some time I'm using GCam modifications made from Parrot043, it was working pretty well with Android 9 before, and now with Adnroid 10 after I upgraded my Moto G7 Power to Q.
Strongly recommend you to test the Parrot043 GCam modification
If you still use Android 9, than you need GCam version 7.0.x
If you are with Android 10, then version 7.3.x or bigger is for your OS
@lubo777 can you please tell me exact settings you have as i dont really have a clue. Just need it for good pictures and portrait mode. Thanks in advance

I recommend to test NOT the latest GCam MOD from back.rider version 1.3a but a bit older version which have better picture details and less noise GCam 2.6a
This was reported on the XDA page of the GCam MOD and I can confirm it.
Bellow are the settings I use: see the attachment.
If you like to install multiple versions of a GCam and test the differences you can do that easy with App Cloner app - for example you can install the latest GCam 1.3a and the older 2.6a and see the difference
Appreciate your help. Thanks mate
So what did anybody figure out? I'm using the latest by Sanity. I can never tell the difference between any of them other than the HDR rendering taking longer or shorter.
Thanks for the advice. Can anyone recommend a way to launch GCam using the default twisting moto-action? It's possible to do once the phone is unlocked, but a locked phone always launches the stock camera app.
I'm also looking for a way to save from GCam to an external sd card. The best way seems to be through using a Tasker (or similar) profile to automate moving photos over, then deleting from inboard storage. There's a GCam Tools app that replicates this behavior, but seems a bit buggy.
Cheers
There is a new version of the GCam MOD GCam_6.2.030_N7P_test1.apk which have the best results according to few tests below ...
Bellow are some day shooting examples with HDR+ and no HDR+ made with the latest version 1 of the GCam, the previous one 1.3a and version 6.1.021_N7P_test2.6a of the GCam MOD from back.rider555 made with MOTO G7 Power
My personal opinion is that the latest version is the best one according to AWB and details!
back.rider555 thank you for your work!!!
All 3 versions have the same setup, I'm attaching also my setup as a attachment below the images.
Latest version GCam_6.2.030_N7P_test1.apk NO HDR+

Thank you for the detailed testing and posting your photo samples. That's the most thorough I've seen yet. Personally, I feel the NO HDR+ image taken with the GCam-6-2-024-N7-P-test1-3a looked the best. Not by much, but marginally. The G7 Power images seem to have a very shallow dynamic range and the HDR+ photos from each version seems to blow out the highlights (see lower right hand corner grassy area where there is direct sunshine) more than the NO HDR+ samples. I would have expected the opposite, with the HDR photos preserving more shadow detail while taming the highlights, but the blades of grass in the NO HDR+ samples are more clearly defined.
Yesterday I discovered that I have some problems with the Focus on my MOTO G7 Power with the latest version. I don't now if there is such a problem with Nokia 7 Plus camera, probably the problem is Moto camera hardware specific ...
The problem is that in wide scenes (not closeup) in Camera Mode the focus is 100% NOT correct where I have tapped on the screen ...
In Portrait Mode everything is OK with the Focus ... very strange.
On closeup scenes the Focus is much better in Camera and Photo modes, as you can see bellow.
On all pictures the Focus is on the strawberry.
Camera mode NO HDR
Camera mode HDR+
Camera mode HDR+ enchanced
Portrait mode NO HDR+
Portrait mode HDR+
Portrait mode HDR+ enhanced
Night Sight

I have tested A LOT of the different GCAM Mod's and definitely 100% the best one working with all possibilities is the GCAM Mod from arthur
What in this GCAM MOD is especially useful for me:
1. The possibility to save Pictures / Video on external SD Card
2. Back and front Camera possibility to fine tune the "Noise suppression" the "Black level adjustment" and "Saturation"
3. To save Portrait pictures in the same folder with all other folders (by default GCAM saves each Portrait image in a different folder )
4. Burst mode - working perfect!!!
5. Slow motion mode
6. Exposure control features
7. Manual Focus options - especially to have focus slider on the camera screen
8. Zoom Noise suppression
9. Video Bitrate change
10. Developer Settings
In this Mode there is no Night Sight link / menu - you get perfectly working Night Sight feature on the main Camera screen in HDR+ enchanced
Below are few pictures made with this mod at night and day
for me arthurs mod isnt saving any pictures even if i set sd card folder...

I have the same problem with that version not being able to save to the SD card. Maybe a permissions issue.
Interestingly, the main features of the app properly display, for me, in English. But, the error message items are in cirillic....
I have found another GCam MOD which have much more Camera Extended settings and is the best working for me.
I'm testing it on my phone for few days and have to say that this GCam MOD have everything I need as a fine tinning functionality.

Hello guys
The BSG versions of the Gcam mod works really stable on our device. But there aren't optimized configs available, so the colors do need to get a little bit tweaked. In the newest versions, it's possible to save and load configs. So it would be nice if we can test some settings out. I also tried it, so you can use it as a base if you want.
Some notes about the changes:
SlibP Custom lib
some settings in "Additional modules settings" (much more to try out there, that's the main place to play around)
activated instantaneous hdr+ enhanced (hdr+ enhanced but without loading time [ZSL], but viewfinder lags a little bit while rendering the final image because of the phone's performance)
Location to place config file: \Download\MGC.8.1.101_Configs
Used Gcam version: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/f/dl16/
There is also a thread for the A52 5G. Because both devices use the same cameras, it would be great to have one place to tinker.
Which is the apk I have to download? Why are there so many options?
Is it OK to download the fist one?
Wierd, the Samsung cam has way more HDR.

Some manufacturers only give access to the cameras for specific package names. With the Samsung ones, you should be on the safe side. You can also install different versions with different names to make tests

Try to disable "instantaneous hdr+ enhanced" and make sure hdr+ enhanced is activated. I think the google stock libs are a little bit brighter, so it should also look more like HDR. There's also a setting to change how many pictures are combined for a HDR+ image, try to increase the value. For me, too much of an HDR effect makes the image unnatural
Do the app always need to restart everytime changing lense ? And I got weird flashes on screen while trying to take a picture.

I actually agree that Samsung's pictures look better (as in more accurate to real life) when in bright conditions. GCam has slightly lower noise, but no matter what HDR mode I choose, Samsung still has better HDR and the picture looks brighter overall. GCam's night mode is much better, though.
First one is Samsung, second is Gcam. Samsung's colours are closer to life. Keep in mind that the houses are brightly lit, as this was taken in the morning and they're facing East. For example the flowers in the pot in the balcony of the left house look very bright and vivid IRL. (The sharpness of the shadows near the roof is likely due to clouds moving)
First one is Samsungs, second is Gcam HDR+, third is Gcam HDR+ Enhanced
Both Gcam HDR+ Enhanced (7 or 15 frames doesn't do much), but first one with Google's AWB (like the previous ones), second one without. The second one looks much better, but a little over-saturated. One thing I did notice in the configs is that the AWB is set for a Sony IMX686 sensor, which I don't know if it is correct. I've been unable to find details on the sensor used in the A52. In any case, It seems that the takeaway here is to keep Google's AWB off.
These were all taken using @phoberus 's config file.

Thanks for the testing. I can confirm that the brightness and colors are not quite good yet. But almost everything should be adjustable. So we still have to test a bit. The sensor I got from gsmarena.com, but is just a guess from them. By default, Pixel2 would be active, which is certainly not correct, but also worked.
Brightness correction: Additional modules settings > Lens x > Exposure compensation
saturation: Additional modules settings > Lens x > Ram Patcher > Saturation (off means it gets the variables from the lib, there are also other nice settings there to create our own lib)

When can we expect a stable optimized and stable gcam for our device. Will you please try contacting gcam developers personally? And also, please drop a link of the gcam you think to be the best one till now.

BSG is only in a Russian forum active. Arnova8G2 also makes good builds, but he only enables the app for the phones he has enough testers. We could ask him here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/app-arnova8g2s-google-camera-port.3862448/
Device name: Galaxy A52
Can we get a port for Galaxy A52 4G please?
fix choppy/stuck wide angle and front camera by going into additional settings and changing camera2API level to Level3.. scan3d works fine. but pictures are dark, something with whitebalance

phoberus' config crashes my GCam viewfinder. I can't test the actual image quality yet since it's the middle of the night here as I'm posting this message.
So I tried Nikita's version, in terms of Color and HDR (default) it's the closest to the default camera app. I'm still playing around with the settings, so pictures to follow.
So, M51 has a similar camera setup with A52 so I thought I'd use a GCAM version from the M51 GCAM thread. Just testing Night mode and it's very clear that GCAM (right) works better. I'll edit this post to include more samples later.

I actually tried a version of Greatness' GCAM and produced better daytime pictures, color was somewhat natural but it had better details (not noise). Unfortunately, I can't get the wide-angle lens and videos to work so I scrapped it.
I honestly don't mind the issues regarding color/hdr issues since a quick application of a vibrance filter is almost indistinguishable from the default cam. I mean it could be what the default samsung camera app is doing.
Edit: Also strange thing, low light (outdoor dusk scenario) and I get plenty of noise on GCAM compared to the default cam.
Hi, I'm running stock rom and wondering how to get the best out of my camera. I've seen people installing the google camera but confused as to which one to download and what config settings. If someone could point me in the right direction or link to the right files I need for my phone that would be really appreciated.
If you want natural "life like" colors use: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam-for-x3-pro.4256287/post-85804879
For "insta" photos use: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam-for-x3-pro.4256287/page-10#post-85826307
Open sample photos for each and see difference, you'll understand what i mean.
Thanks, I'll give that natural one a try, what do I do with the config file?
After installing camera you go into settings, Load Config and choose the .xml you downloaded in this case "MK+V7.3.5+FIX+4.4+BSG.xml"
ps.
If you want to change config in the future you need to first clear Gcam data/cache before applying new config to avoid issues. Or just reinstall Gcam.
As for the Video recording don't use [email protected] / [email protected], use 30 fps instead it's much better quality. (60fps is upscaled lower resolution)
