Note 10+ Exynos Battery Life? - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Questions & Answers

Hey guys
just want to get an opinion on Note 10+ owners who have the Exynos version. I am from New Zealand and we get the Exynos variant in the market, although i would have loved to have the Snapdragon one.
Hows the battery life?
How much SOT can you guys get on a full charge for Medium or heavy users?
How is the standby drain?
I get roughly 3-4 hours of SOT with a full charge and i consider myself a light to medium user. But i can easily get through a whole 24 hours with that single charge and sometimes more.

Wow that's really good. That's expected of snapdragon chipsets but this is amazing for exynos chips!

How are you getting so much SOT! I can barely make it to 4 hours on a full charge if I am lucky. When i use the phone the battery percentage drains quick. I have restricted background activity for Android System. Any tips? Is there something wrong with my phone?

Wow guys that's really good battery. I live in Mexico always had the exynos variant for root but this year I went for the snapdragon and have the note 10 plus and I'm really happy with battery. But will have no root. Too bad

I'm not using the aod.
No screen shots right now, but about 5 hours of SoT with moderate use, and up to 7 hours of lightweight usage.

Second day WQHD+
please do mention SOT.
I didnt have AOD on during this day of use. T Mobile S8. Also, resolution set to FHD.

3rd day
I have to say i am pleasantly surprised by the battery life. Usually have about 5 to 6 hours SOT with AOD. Depending on usage. Had a oneplus 3 before and was struggling to get more than 3 and a halve SOT with the same battery capacity.

Yep. That's what I'm seeing as well. With fast charging this definitely meets my expectations.

I do really like the SOT but the op3 was a lot quicker with charging than the s8 with standard adapter :/
Battery on my s8 exynos is just as good as the s7 edge was last year at launch. At least 12h stby with 7hrs SOT on FHD setting with some 4g and very light gaming. This is my 4th charge.
I would say this is great for only 3000mah.
Someone post with cellular only plz
T-mobile S8
AOD on during the day but decided to turn it off overnight to see my overnight standby.
Moderate use
Maybe an hour or two in poor reception and actually i streamed instagram live in the poor reception area for like 10 minutes or so too.
Light to moderate snapchat videos
Only thing to note is that the last 40 min of SOT was min brightness viewing these forums before bed.
This is pretty good considering the usage though!
I wonder how well it can be if I disable Facebook and snapchat
Hoooly cow
Only LTE, no WiFi, all sync
Ok. So it looks like my battery is getting better and better
Sprint S8
Extremely pleased
I'm happy, big step up from my N6.

Heavy use endurance

Playing Candy Crush for 22 hours straight can take its toll on your battery (and your marriage). Rate this thread to express how the Samsung Galaxy S9+'s battery performs under heavy use. A higher rating indicates that it lasts a long time even when playing games, streaming video and audio, and doing other CPU-intensive activities.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
About 3-4h of heavy use, about the same of what you can expect from the old s8+. I'm sure you can tweak that a bit when you fiddle with power saving modes and display resolution.
The S9+ doesn't have the best battery life. If you expect this phone to last you all day on a heavy usage you will be disappointed. If you need something that lasts all day under heavy use then the Mate 10 pro would be ideal. Another option would be the pixel XL 2.
I think the battery life is pretty good on the S9+. I spent the day on wifi but the screen on time in on par to when I had the Pixel 2 Xl.

depends on what you are using it for. in my experiences, bluetooth is a drop in the bucket when compared to screen brightness and background syncing/processes
Just wondering. To the guys with good battery life: Which processor are you running? The Exynos is terrible...

Coming from a pixel 2 XL I completely disagree. I averaged at least 2 hours more screen on time then my pixel ever did at its best in my standby time is better than the pixel. I didn't buy it for that reason but it's a nice extra

yes this is a normal phenomenon if you use the phone continuously without a changeover or just a minimum break. nothing new under the sun. try not to use the phone and your results. This can normally be achieved at Exynos at any time.
A request to all: whoever posts battery endurance, plz mention the following :
1. Exynos version or Snapdragon version.
2. The entire lists of tweaks such as
applying of black theme , wifi Scanning off or not, data/wifi both on or one is off, nearby device Scanning is on or off, whether wifi power saving on or off, how many email accounts r in use and how many are in sync and what all are in sync, gallery etc r in sync to cloud or not, location method is in high accuracy/battery saving/GPS only, "improve accuracy" is on or off, if any power saving is enabled, "smart stay" and other measures in advanced feature settings are on or off, if any package disabler or manually disabling stuff via adb etc.....
3. Single or dual sim used.
4. Show the screenshot in full using "scroll capture".

Maybe, i dont really know how to measure it correctly. Just rooted mine today ? will try to measure with root if you can teach me how to measure correctly. Before root, usually get 7-9hr depends on my usage w or w/o gaming.
9 hrs of heavy usage . Battery flat in 12 hours.

Long Term Battery Exynos Models?

Just wondering to see what everyones long term battery usage has been like on the exynos model since launch. Has it improved with updates and One UI 3?

To me it has, I remember the day I got the phone I didn't even get more than 3 hours of SoT. But now I'm getting about 6 hours in a 15 hour usage, with 20 to 30% left. 120hz on all the time, no battery saver.

I mean... Honestly samsung has never been great when it comes to stand by drain (I've had every note since the Note 8 including the Snapdragon versions) but to me, when I sleep let's say 8 hours it drains about 4 or 5 percent, so I guess that's not that bad.
The N20U is the first Exynos phone I've had, and although it's not astonishing, I'd say it's not as bad as some people say.

Question Battery life in s21+ exynos variant ?

Hey guys ,
I have been getting very bad battery life compared to what others are getting . With careful usage , basically turning off location and using it with only one sim . I managed just about 6 hrs screen on time for 20hrs usage. The sot is heavily boosted by youtube and prime video.
I know the use case is very different for every one but considering this is an 4800mah battery. This is the best I have managed . I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Please share your battery life experience.

I get around 7 hours on 60hz, and i have had to turn off a lot of google service. Not really happy with the SOT in this device. Not even gonna talk about the slow LTE speeds and wifi 2,4ghz speeds.
I am on snapdragon
Bluetooth, wifi/data always on, dark mode, social media mostly, 120hz. 7-9 SOT always with 10% left. May patch. Exynos variant
That's not bad bro. For me, same condition but using both sims, I got around 6+ hr SOT and 36 hr stand-by time.

I did bloatware removal with adb. Maybe that's why I'm getting these numbers
I use some optimization to achieve this SOT (exynos chipset) :
- Turn off mobile data while using wifi (bixby routine)
- Power Saving Mode always active (but still using 120hz refresh rate)
- Uninstal all samsung bloatware using ADB command
- Deep Sleep all aplication which I dont need to standby at background
Yeah the battery life is attrocious, and so is Samsung's service in Ireland.
My S21+ (Exynos) struggles to get *3* hours of screen on time, and after 5 months I am about to issue a complaint with the bank after giving up on Samsung support's incompetence.

Yes i saw it recently. I uninstalled some other apps today. I will see if good battery and performance this week. thanks.
How are you getting 10hr SOT and think it's bad! Even the manufacturers say you can expect a day's use out of today's flagship phones which usually means around 2-3hrs SOT.
A day and half usage if you are pushing it!!
How can you enable Power Saving Mode and enforce 120hz screen?

Question Battery life

Please use this thread to post everything about the Battery live of our S22 ultras
Pretty bad the first day (drained 40% in 12 hours of not doing anything).
This is currently day 3 of me using it. The battery learning or whatever is done and it is noticeably better (but not perfect). Although the fact that on low brightness/ambient light you are stuck with 120Hz kinda kills the battery in the evening.
My Phone runs actually 2Days and 1hour without Charge. I have 7% remaining and 6h 5 Minutes SOT.
I Use energysaver mode(always on+bluetooth+wlan is non stop on) and all apps in deepsleep that i dont need
For me it´s good so far^^

When it comes to battery drain while the phone is not doing anything (just sitting with the screen off and all apps closed) it is worse than my almost 4 years old S9+...
While using it it is hard to tell, but sometimes it seems to just eat through the battery.

Think the "day one patch" will fix it a bit. Many people have stutter issues seems like driver Problems with the AMD gpu. it will release this Week.

Day one battery life is pretty awful! Hope it improves..
. I take it off at 100% and I watch the battery tick down almost immediately. Just general use dropped 16% in the first hour. Hope it gets better than this.

Wtf thats **** mate :/ hope we will See an Update on the official Release:/
Day three. This has the worst battery life of any device I have used in years. For example, Dropped 5% in first 16 minutes of use today. I used smart switch. Maybe that did it? Or is 5G?
I have 2 full days in now, and the battery life is good. S22U 512K unlocked SD version, no power savers, adaptive brightness. I have fast charge turned off and using Anker wireless charger, recharge in about 3-4 hrs.
Feb 23rd : 8h 43m SOT, 8h 22m screen off, 36% remaining at end
Feb 24th : 8h 48m SOT, 7h 51m screen off, 46% remaining at end
I'm on day 5. S22 Ultra with 12/256. It is technically getting better but I do not like how quickly it drains. I been finishing about 5-6 hours SOT max but with battery almost completely dead. Just from unplugging it and driving to work checking notifications, it goes down to 97%. Never seen a battery drain that quickly. Maybe I am just spoiled from the iPhone battery. Also running everything max QHD, 120Hz, auto brightness and Snapdragon version.
One additional comment, I wonder if the battery drain could be due to the GPU and people's different usage patterns. I don't watch a lot of video or play games and my battery seems OK. That and the reports of the phone getting really hot when playing games and the refresh and screen glitches makes me wonder if people reporting higher drain are using the GPU more.
