[Q] Using 3G and Wifi simultaneously

I have a Samsung i5800 and would like to use my data plan to use the Internet at home.
I tried setting my router Dlink DIR600 (ddwrt) to connect the phone but for some reason the Dlink is unable to connect to the Adroc network generated by android-wifi-tether.
So I thought to make the phone connect to the Dlink and to make the computers to route the internet through the android but the android does not allow the Wifi and 3G running at the same time.
Is this possible?

you cant link your router to your phone to boost the signal per say. What you can do is just a simple android tether to the devices you want to use at your home

You can't do that on your Android phone.

Router Problem

Hi i have a grandfathered tmobile Htc touch pro 2 and have been trying to use it as router, i can get it to work to share the internet connection to my pc, but i'd like to be able to share it also with my room mate who has an T-mobile G2 but when i use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4170499#post4170499 to share it does not apear on his wi-fi list, i think it's because is an ad-hoc connection
my question is.. is there other alternative to be able to share it without using a computer?

[Q] Wifi connectivity

I have a Sensation default ROM and since I bought the device I am unable to connect to my home wifi network. My laptops are able to connect to the wifi but my phone says obtaining and then disconnects then tries again and again.
my wifi is WPA secured and am like very near the modem itself.
I tried resetting the modem but in vain.
Made the wifi unsecure and then too it does not connect though my laptop connects to it.
Please help me out. I am in Bangalore, India using BSNL connection.

Your laptop in b,g,n compatible?
Try to connect your sensation without any computer.
Box or modem can't manage g and n both....
Try to change your key in wep,then reboot your modem and try to connect your sensation.
Then,return to wpa2.
Instead, you can with some modem to associate MAC adress on wifi.

i know whats wrong...it usually happens when u have unsecured connection... call me on 9612273270 (shillong) i'll trouble shoot via fone...coz writing all and communicating like this is pain a bit...also tell me ur modem make and modell....

Need help! Connecting my wireless printer to Android Wifi Tethered Network

I have a Samsung Epic 4G (rooted), and I use the wifi tether to give internet to all my devices in my apartment (galaxy tab and sony vaio). I just purchased a canon MG5220 Wireless printer and need to get it on the wireless network that my android tether gives. Mainly because I need to print things off my Sony Vaio thats also connected to my Androids Tether.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to give your canon an IP address... to do that you will need to set it up with a computer and the installation disk... during the installation it should give you the option to select the wireless network the printer will be connected to... make sure your android hotspot is on and choose it from the list.. from here you should be able to configure the connection... now download a print app from the market place... and try a test print... hope this helps..

[Q] Emergency help please, my phone can't even WiFi!

I have a MAJOR problem regarding my phone's connection to internet. It now cannot establish a stable connection with internet. Bothers me a lot!:crying: Connects and disconnects.

Is it my phone or the router?
