<3 the phone, but the dev scene for it (& other Oppo phones) is dismal
I love this phone so far, but the dev scene for it (& for a lot of the Oppo range) is pretty sad, from what I've noticed.
Great phone,i love the ui from coloros6.But there is no to none third party development
Since I have had this phone, I have not seen a slice of 3rd party development, and that is due to the fact that the sources have not been released. On the verge of considering putting it aside as a spare phone and acquiring another phone that is rootable. There were too many things I depended on that required root.
Pretty much 0 development can be done due to the bootloader being completely locked and no fastboot binaries.

How are reviewers getting this phone so early?
Also I'd actually be very interested to see how the kernel works compared to the XZ2 and XZPREMIUM.
Little known fact, the XZPREMIUM has a third display mode: 1080p 120Hz. I will be very interested if the XZ2PREMIUM will have a feature like this hidden somewhere too. Unfortunately it was unstable in testing on XZPREMIUM, maybe it could be great platform to work on with the XZ2PREMIUM

There are good custom roms , but there is no fingerprint scanner support in it cause OP doest post the sourses for their Roms.
So Roms fithout FP support.
Kernels are perfect. RenderZenith is the best.
I wish that OP will post the sources for FP and Havoc will implement them. Imho Havoc with RN is the beat custom combination.

Very poor as of now. Hope the situation improves soon
I use this phone for graphic designing & klwp interface creation. + video editing and gaming.
I've been using nova launcher and klwp on my phone. It handles all and any task I throw at it without any issues. Great phone...
The hardware is Ok i guess. But One UI...... isn't ok at all... below is my Play store comment which i left for Samsung One UI (1 star obviously):
_____________________
Really slow compared to Huawei's EMUI launcher or any other. I expected One UI to run much smoother and faster. Slow when searching from home (searching anything); even inside the phone settings, let's say I type any keyword, the loading circle spins at least 3 times before the first result shows up (in EMUI, AOSP, Microsoft launchers everything is fast and instant). If you swipe down at Homescreen, keyboard doesn't display automatically. All in all experience, very laggy. I hate it.
______________
which is why im waiting for some stable and official Lineage Rom.... I simply cant stand the software part.
Strenght is weak now :/ ... seems A70 is quite difficult device to work with and probably there is no big chance to get better --- without device seeding program like Xiaomi do on XDA .

I don't get why Color OS gets so much hate. It doesn't stand in your way and tries to do everything for you like MIUI.
It's not Coloros, it's the VERY POOR update of the OS itself that causes so much frustration, and disgust Oppo are a solid Hardware manufacturer, it's their Software that's S**t*
Users have deserted the brand for just that reason.
And I am seriously considering adding to them!
Please what exactly is wrong with their software

Camera app is good but improvements are necessary
The camera module on Oppo Reno 10x is good, but definitely needs improvements in the look and features. Definitely Reno 10x got the best in class hardware which can be used in development many innovative camera features. Like a few features from Huawei p30 pro or Samsung s20 ultra. A long a way to go for Oppo to build the best camera module possible.

I'm pretty impressed, for the price. The specs were above & beyond anything else at this price point that I could find, & so far since I bought it, it hasn't skipped a beat. I'll definitely be considering another Oppo next time I'm in the market for a phone, whether it be for my partner, or myself when it comes time to upgrade.
Very impressed with the hardware so far, everything is very snappy and quick, it also comes with very good audio and optical equipment, a lot of potential that unfortunately cannot be used to its fullest because of OPPO's crackdown on 3rd party development for there phones, all fastboot binaries are competently absent and the bootloader is fully locked meaning custom recoveries and custom operating systems are not possible as of 2020 January.
Very nice phone. But its sad this phone does not recieve coloros 6.1
I dont like digital well being and prefer built in battery stats, like sot,app usage and that stuff
Nice premium design. Like that the rear cameras do not protrude on the back. Great screen. Better than the typical midrange amoled screen. It is snappy but not as fast and fluid as flagships from Xiaomi or OnePlus. The rear camera is good but not great. The speaker is very loud. All in all, nice phone.
eu version
awesome phone for the price very fluid when i read about it that it has p90 but then i buy one im shocked how well it is , great smartphone
