Bluetooth audio delay not working - MX Player

Hi,
When I play videos on MX Player while connected to my car's Bluetooth, the video is about a second before the audio coming out of the car's speakers.
(* - No need to mention that I shouldn't have video in my car)
I tried to set the Bluetooth audio delay setting to various numbers, but they all seem to have no affect at all. I tried -1.0, -1.6, -2.0, -5.0 - the async seems to be the same on all values. I am suspecting that this feature doesn't work at all.
Would appreciate some insight.
V1.14.5
Thanks.

[Q] Bluetooth Headset Problem

I want to use Spype on my G Tablet - bought myself a bluetooth headset. I can connect no problem (can even toggle it on and off with the home screen button application) it beeps indicating the connection.
But when I do calls I doesn't use the mic and speaker of the headset. Matter of fact it seems like it messed up with my audio setting because my built-in speakers don't seem to work anymore.
Any thoughts?
Sometimes I have the same issue. If you want speakers back, try disconnecting from the Bluetooth device. If that doesn't fix it, just reboot. I just posted another comment about the impossibility to use a bluetooth headset, not just for output, but for audio input also. I guess this is because there's no HSP or HFP bluetooth profiles implemented on the g tablet, just a2dp, which is why it just can stream audio to an output device, like a bluetooth stereo headset or car audio. BTW, I discovered this when trying to achieve exactly what you tried to do, making calls using Skype.

[Q] Audio delay through bluetooth?

Anyone having audio delay when using bluetooth streaming?
Video playback works fine on the tablet speakers, but has a delay when connected through bluetooth in my car stero.
I am sorry.. I dont have an answer for your question. But I was just curious, what deck you have? Because I cannot even get my Tab 2 to sync with my JVC head unit. It will pair but then will not connect. When I try to connect it just goes through the pairing process again.

Just stumbled upon this, I have an HTC Amaze 4G, and notice about a 1s delay when I stream audio to my Bluetooth in the car. I hit pause, and it's delayed. I wonder if it is like that for all stereo bluetooth streaming.
Jvc kds88bt
My car stereo is the JVC KDS88BT, it works great with my ipad, iphone, Hp touchpad even the rooted Nook Color with the short range bluetooth signal, works perfect, but the Galaxy Tab has this audio delay when playing video.
Moved to Q&A section....place all questions in the proper sections.
Thanks

Help with Bluetooth (media streaming vs. in call audio)

I use a USB bluetooth dongle with a 3.5 mm headphone jack in my car in order to stream music from my phone. I plug the dongle into the lighter outlet for power and then connect the dongle to the aux jack in the car's stereo. Everything works great when playing any media. However, it won't connect for call audio. If I were to dial a phone number, the sound from the key touches play through the radio, but as soon as the call connects the audio plays through the phone's earpiece. I am not able to get the in call audio to stream through my bluetooth. When I go to the bluetooth settings, I see an option for media audio and nothing for in call audio. If anyone can help me get this fixed, that would be great. Also, I am on CM 10 RC 1, but this did the exact same thing on stock touchwiz.
Bump
I have the same issue on stock. This thread isn't the same as what you're asking, but he does state that he is trying to find a workaround to the same issue.

Thanks for the reply. However, my issue is that once a call connects, the audio goes through the phone's earpiece. I can only stream media (youtube, Pandora, music, etc.) through Bluetooth, but calls won't connect to my Bluetooth setup at all.
I really hope someone has a solution to this.

[Q] Prevent multi-channel audio output

I am using CROMI-X 5.4 on a TF700. It's connected via HDMI to a Denon receiver, and is used to play music, videos, etc.
Whenever I first play videos via MX Player (or music via Shuttle), the receiver says that it's receiving a stereo signal. That's good. The receiver interprets the stereo signal as Dolby PLII and it comes out all 5 speakers and subwoofer.
However, after I play a few videos or songs the receiver suddenly starts receiving a multi-channel audio signal. That's bad. The receiver doesn't mix a multi-channel audio signal, and the source audio is really only two channels, and so only two of my speakers end up being used.
I've confirmed that my media is all two channels, nothing more. Is there any way to force the TF700 to ONLY output stereo audio via HDMI? I've tried editing audio_policy.conf and commenting out the lines regarding the multi-channel capabilities of the device, but it didn't seem to have any impact.
Thanks.
I've confirmed that I get the same behaviour with Google Play Music, My Play Home (a game), and the default Video Player. So it's not an app-related problem.
It *may* be a problem with the receiver, but I believe it worked fine until I installed a more recent version of CROMI. I can only assume it's something to do with the newer CROMI build, or perhaps _that's kernel? In any case, I'd be happy to limit the device to stereo output in ALL cases if at all possible.

[Q] 2-3 second bluetooth audio lag/delay

Does anyone else experience bluetooth audio lag or delay? When my n5 is paired to my car (2010 Mazda 3), my music doesn't play through my speakers until about 3 seconds later. Audio for movies and videos and games are the same way, so they're out of sync. If I run the Audio Router app (forces audio to be played thru mono "headset mode" [not sure if that's what that's called]) then the lag/delay disappears and everything is fine, except that the audio is now playing at the lower headset bitrate and is mono.
So far, my car is the only thing I have to pair my phone with so I don't know if it's the car or the phone. But, I've only experienced this problem on 4.4 roms. 4.2 was fine, no audio lag at all. Every single 4.4 rom I've used has this problem (cm, aokp, pa, slim, pac, and stock).
The only patch I can think of for movies is to find a player that can allow me to offset the audio (like VLC on Windows does), but I haven't found one that supports that.
Any ideas?

It is an issue with the link to your car. I get the same thing between all my Android devices and one particular Bluetooth device, my context is different using Chromecast to see on TV the picture but hear on bluetooth off my handset the audio, I've tried N4, N7 2012, N7 2013, N10. The only fix in my context is HDMI off the N10 (so in N5 it would be Slimport) and bluetooth off the handset.
For your car, does it have a Tape casette player old tech? They used to have an audio-male to casette adaptors, or an audio socket at all, then just male-male cable to the N5?
