Can I trust or are they "lies"? - Motorola One Vision Questions & Answers

Good Morning,
I ask "the experts."
Is the information on these links reliable with respect to this device?
I ask because there is a lot of information and it seems updated.

what are your concerns about that ? there are only trustworthy tips for One Vision . if you have any doubts of all those informations just google it . I don't think anybody would bother to answer you because you're not explicit and the subject you asked is so evasive . TWRP remain tricky , unlock bootloader is simple , Magisk has large explanations just here , updates also and so on

Good Morning,
No need to get that way!
It was just a query, due to the little information I found on the web about this terminal.
I have only found information in this forum (XDA), little, and in the link I have put, a little more.
Some time ago, I looked for information and only found things "generic" or pages where "buy" the root.
If my questions have bothered you, I'm sorry.
If someone wants to comment more about the root information, installation of TWRP, Xposed, etc. that is in that link, I would appreciate it.
Regards

Code:
Installation Guide using ADB fastboot method:
Now enter the following command and hit enter:
[B]fastboot flash recovery recovery.img[/B]
Once you are done, you can reboot your phone using the following command:
fastboot reboot
You’re done. You have installed TWRP Successfully.
This manual is bull****!
What files they put out I didn't check.
Upd: Checked it out. These are my TWRP installation files, which the authors of this article have stolen without even telling where they got them.

flash custom rom due to Hboot 2.0 S-on

I wanted to write it down many times, but I don't have right time to do this.
The reason why I want to write it down, because I'm a newbie, and I know what a newbie would feel when he/she wants help but no one will help or they can't help.
Because of the stunning performance from few videoes of 4.0, I wanted to flash a 4.0 rom always, but I'm afraid to briket it, and finally I started to log in forums and check someone else how to do it.
I added many people, and only one answered me, and patiently helped me to do this, do that, but failed, though, I still thank him a lot.
My steps are simple, I won't define words, explain them, and I won't write down the exact process, because there are so many posters about it.
1. HTCdev, very important, everything is invisible without this step.
2. after this, you can use ADB to flash superuser and RE, or use a tool called pioneer, which is in Chinese, just need you to press anykey of your keyboard after you unzip it, and click (执行(means execut))boot.bat, and it's done
3. Flash recovery, I flash 4ext touch version, and it's quite good.
download PG881IMG.ZIP, and babababa....
My situation was like that: do not connect computer during flash 4ext, or it won't react.
4. flash rom, and after flash rom, return to bootloader, to flash boot.img(still many poster say this), and connect to computer, flash boot.img
And after that, everything's done.
May it help.

Hello, please don't take this personally...(you're input is appreciated)
If by adding people you mean, adding users as friends and then private messaging them, then I don't find it surprising that you didn't get many answers.
This is an open forum and it's power is that all users are able to put input into finding solutions and assisting each other as a group not as individuals.
Even though PM's have a use in efficient communication within the forum, they are not recommended for new starters with problems, that's what the Q/A section is for.
If you have an issue or a question simply post a new thread describing it, although hopefully use the search function first to see if it has been asked before, as 90% of questions have been!
Although a little reading of the available guides and Google'ing goes a long way!

hey, dude,. what I mean adding people, is to use QQ, do you know this app?
@Nandylee
You were lost when you started and after a while it made sense to you, your guide will still just confuse people cause they won't understand it. To someone who understands they can see where its going but its flawed, to a noob its no help. Sorry.

I didn't know that app, but I do now, although I still stand by what I said regarding one to one communication, it's always better to ask everyone through the forum, that's what gives it its power and then the answers are made available for others to read.

+1 Totally agree, the beginners need to be spoon feed with idiot proof guides, which is in no way meant as a knock, we were all there once, fortunately we're in one of the nicer forums....

[HELP THREAD] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly.

There are a lot of people joining XDA on a daily basis, and there are a lot of repetitive questions being asked
which clutter up the Development and 'Q & A' threads. Point them here. Feel free to ask or answer questions.
The idea of this thread is to get users to help other users with their problems/questions. People are usually
ridiculed for asking questions that other people deem stupid even though it may be a legitimate question. This
leads to new users being afraid to ask questions!
Only provide well mannered help towards users in this thread. Please do not spoon feed, but rather point in
the direction where that user can find an answer and educate himself. If you don't want to answer, at least
point out where to find the answer.
Before posting anything, I strongly advise you to read THIS thread.
Then, have a quick look at the names of threads in Post No. 2, you might find what you need right away.
Third. Even if you do get your question answered, please do come back and read threads in Post No. 2
(coming later as soon as we start getting the guides) to educate yourself. You'll be surprised how much time
and frustration it will save you in the future!
No abuse towards noobs tolerated here! That means:

Just a few words of advice on keeping this thread clean of unnecessary clutter:
1. Before posting a question, it is highly recommended to read this thread.
2. Click the Thanks button on the posts that helped you, instead of posting "Thanks". This helps other members in finding out the best replies that get buried in the thread.
3. Do not use this thread to increase your post count! The Off-Topic forum is the place for that.
4. Do a simple search of this thread before asking to see if your question has been asked previously.
5. If your question has not received an answer after a few hours, please be patient. Someone will answer you shortly. If you do not get an answer in 24 hours, you may BUMP your post. If you still have no answer after a week, do mention me in your post.
Thank you for your cooperation!
How to Ask your question in this thread, the UI in posting, so that you'll get better help

Also generate habit of using search button. make sure you search before you ask next time. And also use short keywords for searching. That will give you better results. May be better than the link I gave you.

ZTE V970 Brick?
Hi,
I've been trying to install Bruno's ROM for this phone (cam with all chinese apps). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856578
but have a big problem. I tried my best to follow the instructions but, really couldn't work out if I was doing things in the right order.. is there an actual step- by step for this procedure? I know I'm a noob and read this read that I am an idiot etc. etc. but I thought if I used to ROM on that page and the software recommended it would be easy.
Here's what I did:
Downloaded all the files as told.
Tried to 'flash a custom recovery' as here http://bm-smartphone-reviews.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/mt6575-flashing-tutorial.html
but it did not mention how to use the ZTE custom recovery file http://d-h.st/Vgt
I'm also not sure at all that the 'MediaTek drivers' were installed properly. The phone never appeared in the Device manager.
I opened SP flash tool and followed this: http://bm-smartphone-reviews.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/mt6575-flashing-tutorial.html
and selected the 'scatter file' from the unzipped Bruno ROM (took a while to realise had to unzip it to get the file!!!)
I noticed most of the boxes on the scatter file were unchecked but carried on and ignored a warning message about the phone may not be able to boot (the tutorial said to ignore it).
I had to click 'download' then plug the phone in and eventually I got the red loading bar. This finished... then nothing else.. no purple bar.. nothing.
So after waiting a few minutes I unplugged the phone.
It now appears to be a total brick. What did I do wrong? Why no purple bar? Were the scatter items supposed to be unchecked? What was the 'custom recovery' file for? Because the SP flash prog never asked for it.
Is there any point in trying it again or is the phone dead?
Thanks for any help..

stupid newbie question: Is there any way to run fastboot without connecting the phone to a computer?
Device: HTC One V [CDMA]
Network: Virgin Mobile US
Goal: I want to be able to relock and unlock (which on my device is
Code:
fastboot flash unlocktoken <txt file>
) my phone without having to connect to a computer.
Motivation: I've already managed to near-brick my HTC One V twice, both due to HTC's silly OTA radio update (details here), and the only way I was able to fix it in either case was to use Solution #2 from the linked thread (although I didn't try solution #1, there is absolutely no way to do #1 without Windows, never mind without a computer). Since I've proved perfectly capable of soft-bricking without the intervention of a computer—although I don't think that will happen anymore as long as I remember not to use my two Nandroid backups with the newer radio—I would really like to be able to unbrick it without a computer in case I have to do it when I don't have a computer handy.
Thanks in advance!

Can you go back into recovery mode? I don't have that device, so it would difficult for me to understand your situation completely. If you done a nandroid backup earlier, try to restore it (it was suggested by the op/bruno in that thread).
If not then try asking for help from bruno himself or other people in that thread, they can answer you in better way, because they might have passed from your situations earlier.

ROM "TheUltimatum"
Hi all at XDA, I LOVE THIS SITE!!! :good:
This is my first post, and for annoying, yet understandable, reasons I am forced to pose my question here. (feels a bit like putting a message in a bottle...)
I have just installed The Ultimatum ROM (with Metro UI & swapall kernal options) on my Galaxy ace. I guess as I live in France my language setting was automatically set to French. After setting it to my preffered English, I noticed that in the app draw the language for certain apps remained in French!!! I had the same issue with this rom's previous incarnation "WP-Remix" however, after an updade to the Launcher8 app through play store, the problem was solved. :highfive:
Whats weird is this: in this rom the Launcher8 app is not recognized by Google Play as being the Launcher8 app, and therefore, will NOT update. Is it a heavily modded version of launcher8? or is there a settings problem somwhere perhaps? Would repairing permissions, or something like that help play find the app, if so, by what method? Recoverey or Titanium? This ROM seems to have some quirks unique to it alone, and I would not want to fcuk somthin' up!
I hope this finds the right eyes, Any help would... well........help.
PS: Yes I know its not a huge problem, and yes I do speak French, its just annoying is all...

You can simply download the updated copy of the launcher8.apk from some other site. after that use any root exploring app like root explorer/es file maneger,( I hope you have root privilages on the rom you are using.) Just replace the old apk from /System/App folder of with updated one and set its permissions as (rw-r-r). You can also try fix permissions option from cwm recovery. Also you can find more help in your device's question and answers section.
You will be allowed to post in developement sections after you complete 10 posts. Make them helpful/cintributory to xda.
And you are most welcome here if you have any problems again.

Hi,
I can't post to the original thread - I don't have permission. I didn't do a backup because it said to do that if you didn't want to loose data and the phone is new and has no data. I tried holding the volume button and on button (is that recovery mode) and nothing happens.
What I don't understand is why the 'scatter file' appeared to be incomplete for the ROM (V3.1MOD (27-12-2012) ) and why the downloading stopped after the red bar.. I don't think I did anything wrong. Is there a problem with the scatter file, if so, there may be a lot of people wrecking their phones with this rom??
Still need help!
Hii, I have a htc touch pro 2.
My device doesn't seem to charge properly, when the phone is powered on and in use or not in use, the phone's battery stays the same.
When the device is turned off, it takes like 2 or 3 hours sometimes to charge it 30 % .
I tried a different usb cable, I got the same result.
Do you think the problem is in the battery or the charging port ?
P.S.: I have been using my battery for almost 2 years.

Its probably ur battery. Try using a new one. And check ur battery after removing it to see if its swollen.
And do u charge using a USB connection or by using a wall charger? Charging via USB is usually slower.

Problem is not only does the Flyer not charge, it's not stuck in infinite reboot loop. I'm not very experienced and I'm totally stuck now.
I can't run the RUU even though I'm charging it as it reloops because it does not stay on long enough for the RUU to begin working. I'm not even sure if I had set up the Flyer so that it will accept the RUU yet I was still experimenting. Please help me out I need to at least get back to recovery before I can work on it!
Thank you so much for reading!

Thank you!
I really think my situation is different from the other post and the root of the problem is from the script I ran. I ran that script and now even when I'm trying to boot my RUU the script is still constantly looping reboot. Is there some way to remove that batch file?
As mentioned, our purpose at XDA Assist is to direct you to the best place we can so that you can get the answers and solutions you are looking for.
Your link in the first post or perhaps the 2 links in the 2nd post should be where you can ask questions and receive the answers from those who have been in your situation.

[Completed] Unknown network error on downloading file

i have been looking for the repair/backup of my root on my Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0 cause i accidentally full unrooted it using SuperSU application, and then i found this site. and i feel so lucky that it has the most normal/simple tutorial on how to root my device again . and when i download the file about 400++mb, it only says Unknown Network Error, and i tried it for about 4 times. the picture is attached on this thread.
Note : my network is all well, honestly i just downloaded other file from google drive too, and everything is perfect.. so i thnk its not the net.
This is what i want to download .. (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2746658) <-- remove parenthesis
PLEASE HELP ME... I NEED TO DOWNLOAD IT AND ROOT MY PHONE AGAIN..
FOLLOW-UP QUESTION
is it possible to reroot my phone from this procedure.
Well even if you've lost root on your current ROM, that doesn't matter as long as you have a custom recovery like CWM. If you know how then just flash that ROM, but being as you have no device specific forum you should post your question in the thread you linked me.
If you didn't understand any of that, then follow this guide HERE. Good luck.
the one you link to me is for CM Flame 2.0, my unit is Blaze 2.0, is that the same ?
im sorry for being noob but i dont know have any familiarity on the term ur giving me . you mean if i have my CWM on my Recovery mode .. i can just click that and then *bang* im rooted again with my system being reset ?
Thanks for your time and effort on helping me ! i'll expect a reply. TY

The zip is just a generic superSU update zip. It sounds like you have a recovery in which to flash the superSU zip anyway, so yes you may just be able to follow that guide. It won't break anything if it doesn't work though. If you need any further help then you should post in the Android Q&A section. Good luck
sir, i just found out that i have what u called CWM in recovery mode. does it help.

I can't give you technical help (read the 2 stickies), although I'll answer you once and say yes it helps: I highly recommend you read up on stuff abour custom recoveries, kernels, etc. To gain better understanding. I've given you a guide to follow HERE and directed you to the correct place to post further questions HERE. If you are still in doubt despite reading carefully through the first link then you should post in the second link where there are many more helpful members who may even have experience with your exact device.

[Successful] [UNBRICK] Redmi Note 5/Pro Bypass EDL Authorization

In this video I'll guide you to Unbrick Redmi Note 5/Pro without replacing Motherboard, for fastboot flash Xiaomi has introduced the security feature known as EDL Authorization, without Authorized ID you can't flash and unbrick you Redmi Note 5, here I'm representing the FASTBOOT ROM for Redmi Note 5 (Whyred) which'll bypass the MI EDL Authorization, yes there is no need of MI ID Authorization and also you don't have to try test point method.

Procedure:

I'll appreciate you if there is a single thread posted by you (of 4 threads). After getting the device hard bricked, why you people try test point method when the phone was already tucked in EDL Mode, there are many miserable users whom ruin there devices due to bloody incomplete and so-called magical guides by the developers kind of you.

Lmao, im not looking for appreciation from you, where did you get this crazy idea.. All im saying is, THIS GUIDE BEEN ON FORUM FOR WEEKS, ITS ALREADY 4TH THREAD SHOWING SAME THING. This is not your work, nor is it some new method. Its the same method thats been posted on this forum before. Stop creating same threads over and over again. And what is even worse, is i dont see a single credit to anyone, even tho files and guide was taken from other people and miui forum. So shame on you.

Without contributing anything new thats a tall claim to make. You would be begging too. If new way of unbrick information was not found.
First do something on your own rather than stealing someone else's work.
How to do it on my Xiaomi Mi8? Where can I get a compatible modded ROM?
I am getting the following message "write time out, maybe the device was disconnected"

True this has been re-posted a lot of times. I first posted it here with all the proper credits but mine was reported so I asked the mod to take it down permanently. After a few days I made a thread again because of a lot of pm's. Here it is::

Need Help
Can you help me with bypass authorization on Redmi 3s Prime. is there any option for it, cant even install TWRP recovery without binding the phone. Any help will be appreciated.
Can i flash any of these roms on my fake rom note 5 with locked bl? and which one?
I have a MiPad4 which I can only get fastboot
I have tried to flash with the latest MiFlash and the 28 may 2018 Miflash
Miflash can see the device - it goes through the flash and everything seems to be doing fine until after 30 seconds it says
error:FAILED ( remote: Flashing is not allowed in Lock State )
I had this device unlocked before , but when I flashed TWRP originally I left the default selection of clean all and lock on MiFlash ( sad default )
any ideas ?

You answered yourself. You left default selection "clean all and lock". It locked your bootloader again, because thats what you chose to do.
