Lionage This build was signed with public keys - General Questions and Answers

I have a Samsung Tab A6 and wanted to upgrade the OS. I followed the tutorial at youtu.be/7eHOpHUnsUo and successfully installed the new OS.
The only issue I have is a warning with "Trust, this build was signed with public keys".
I've read a few threads on this but I'm not sure if twrp is incorrect (from the link above I did receive the lines issue so downloaded twrp from the second link provided) or if there is an issue with the LineageOS 16.0 installation.
I reformatted and the same issue and wonder if someone could guide me what to do next to resolve this warning?

What I did is I disabled the "build signature" setting in the Trust settings. (Click the warning to get there.)
It seems okay and harmless, based on what I found in other places:
Ignore that message which comes from Trust app, as we track all from los , trust app too comes from there. I built rom with public key and didn't add private one, as we aren't dealing with nuclear stuff .. chill , just toggle off the warning from trust app

It's nothing to worry about really. The warning can be disabled in Trust settings. It just means that the build isn't part of the official Lineage builds, but built by a 3rd party person, in this case me.

Fake 6.0 ROM?

So, what's up with this rom
http://rootmygalaxy.net/safely-update-oneplus-one-to-android-6-0-marshmallow/
I've installed it earlier, it looks like 6.0, but on device info it says 5.1.1. Anyone else have any experiences?
No, That is CM12.1 that is Anrdroid 5.1.1.. Keep checking XDA eventually a ROM will come up!
Of course it's a fake.
AOSParadox's effort to bring Marshmallow to our Bacon is being reported as if they have actually done a bootable build. Not yet, more work must be made, thats a fake

Don't trust anything from that site. We've seen a lot of spam posts pointing there the last few days, but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Very reputable site. They posted it without even testing or doing any research, their source being "some guy" and they provide a direct link to aosparadox download, which is still up. Zero integrity, avoid these guys
Yeah, I haven't seen a single ROM yet except one really janky ROM that didn't even have a proper zip or working mobile networks lol
All sites have wrong download Link
I have searched For Marshmallow for OnePlus One and all top sites in the google search list have the same ROM download link. Its not only rootmygalaxy.net, but also sites like androiding.how and theandroidsoul.com which have the same link. There is no Marshmallow available for OPO right now.

Why even bother looking anywhere except XDA? Those sites are all useless, they post this bs purely to get traffic. Plus, XDA will have 6.0 first anyway.

The link for the download is just to one of the mirrors for the experimental build already on XDA. I really can't wait for MM to drop in some form for the OPO. Maybe XDA will be sorta back to normal again

I tried to build it two times. The first built with no errors but the files weren't in zip format and I couldn't figure how to flash them. My second failed because I still need to get by build environment set up again. I just re-installed Linux a few days. I just switched to Linux Mint permanently a few weeks ago from Windows so I've been dealing with the transition. I have the source downloaded so I'll be tinkering with that when I have time. Hopefully something good will happen in a few days on my end. Till then this thread needs to be moved to the Q&A section. I'm glad you threw the question out there and hopefully others will join the party.

My guess is that they don't mind private builds. However, I would doubt they would be okay with a build being posted in a forum like this. Also, from reading their website it appears when you pay, you're getting the support of the devs directly as well as their updates pushed directly to your phone without having to do new builds like you will without a license. I could be slightly off but I think that was the gist of it.

Same here. I used to build ROMs for Samsung and AOSP is pretty foreign to me but I am learning. It's quite a bit for me between real life, a new OS and AOSP. It's cool though, my 40+ year old brain was getting a bit stale.... Anyway I tried again today for a few hours and made some progress. I successfully compiled a generic build but when I try sailfish I get a user error and it tells me to change user. Seeing that the official build isn't available for purchase I think they blocked the build process some way. I can compile Pure Nexus no problem so it's not my set up, probably their directions. But on the other hand it could be on my end. Either way I'll still be looking into it.
Is there a way to compile this os with gapps already built in for personal use. After building and flashing it on my phone I found the lack of certain Google services very annoying. Flashing gapps after installing the os didn't work. Also if you're on T-Mobile no data connection unless you change settings in apn, I wonder if flashing stock vendor img would help with that.

[ROM] LineageOS 14.1 for Xperia X Compact Unoff.(Android 7.1.2, Patchlvl Jan 2018)

Hi folks,
some hardware crash later I found some time again to compile a plain version of LineageOS 14.1 for the Xperia X Compact (kugo). Android version of this build is 7.1.2 with patches and kernel from January 2018. No other software integrated, so you have to install Viper4Android etc. yourself for now to make the AudioFX work. Other issues still remain:
- Selfiecam still upside down (Android API issue?) Fix it using i.e. Simple Cam or similar
- FM Radio doesn't seem to work reliably (binary blob issue?)
I did an update installation with this one on a self-built LOS 14.1 from December so please feel free to do a full install :good:
Download links to the ROM and the corresponding md5sum file for validation when installing with TWRP (I will add some links to AndroidFileHost later):

Flash with TWRP. The md5sum can be used for verification within TWRP if you check the corresponding box. Clear at least cache, dalvik before install though.

Updater process ended with error 7
*nevermind it kicked in after several reboots.
People calling me report a strong echo, i.e. they hear their own voice played back at them. On my end, everything sounds fine, no echo. But it's kind of embarassing to put my callers through this. Won't be able to keep this ROM like this.
Hi bro, thanks for your work! And could you share the code on the github?
Because I tried to build lineage 15.1 on my kugo using the code shared by sony AOSP team, but I failed a lot of times.
I hope to see your code and maybe I can learn some something from it.
Thank you very much.

[ROM] [10] [Official] Android Open Source Mutation - hotdogb

Welcome to Android Open Source Mutation for the OnePlus 7T
(previously Xtended-Mutate)
Code:
**DISCLAIMER**
We bear absolutely no responsibility for any damages to your device,
from following any instructions or flashing anything we provide.
All software is 'as-is' and no warranty is implied or stated and will not be honored.
As always flash at your own risk.
Everything you could want in a ROM.... and more
ROM originally derived from MSM-Xtended
Features list:
- Android R notification headers
- Substratum support
- Theming (accents, gradients, dark mode)
- FOD icon customizer
- Fully customizable animations
- Different fonts included
- Full sounds customization
- Power menu customization
- Full MD2 support
- Signature spoofing
- Remove ADB notification
- Aggressive battery
- Sensor block per package
- OmniStyle and OmniJaws for headers and weather
- Ambient display and Always-On Display
And even more!
TODO:
- Rebase on Lineage sources
- Finish rebranding
- Add all the features, ALL OF THEM.
- Ok maybe not all.
What works:
- FOD works
- Alert slider works
- DC dimming works
- 60/90/Auto refresh rate
Bugs:
- Auto brightness may have issues
- The carrier Visible is known not working on latest builds.
- ??? This is where you tell us
Install instructions
* Always make sure to flash latest OxygenOS to each slot before installing this ROM!
* Flashing via fastbootd is recommended for now. Although a TWRP is available, it is closed source and therefore in violation of the TWRP GPLv3 license and we therefore cannot link to it here. OTA zips and fastbootd zips will be provided.
1. Set up adb and fastboot on your computer with the latest zip from google. Get them here
2. Ensure your device is upgraded to the latest OxygenOS. We recommend flashing latest to both slots before proceeding.
3. Reboot to bootloader
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
4. Ensure your bootloader is unlocked. This can be done with
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
You'll need to confirm on device. T-Mobile users have to obtain the unlock from T-Mobile first.
5. Now this is the different part with Android 10. If you choose to use the non-official TWRP, you may flash the OTA zip as usual. Otherwise assuming the ROM fastbootd zip is in the same location as your prompt:
Code:
fastboot update -w <file>.zip
6. Reboot and enjoy! Never flash magisk on first reboot as this can cause issues. Always boot at least once.
Updates
* Recommended method is via fastbootd
1. With adb set up and enabled:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
2. In bootloader mode:
Code:
fastboot update <name>.zip
Reporting bugs:
- To report a bug, clean flash is MANDATORY.
- We provide no support to (Ed)Xposed users, or custom kernels (some custom kernels are known to break FOD, DC dimming, etc). Bugs should be reported with magisk in safe mode or with no modules enabled. We also provide no support for any users of AIO "tweakers" (eg, FDE.AI, LSpeed, NFS, etc), the reason being those are well known to cause instability.
- A good bug report should contain:
Code:
- Device:
- ROM version (eg date ROM was built):
- Magisk used?:
- Tried a clean flash?:
- Concise description (eg, no "fingerprint not working plzzz help"):
- Logcat or dmesg (for boot issues, try the Magisk Module LogCatcher, logcat's I recommend Logcat Reader. Reports without logs WILL BE IGNORED):

And luckily, for doing that he decided to use MSM-Xtended with just logo changes and nothing further, no addition, no fixes, just nothing.
Going through the commit history was showing further more. I mean, I have heard many devs saying cherry-picking is the easiest, still people don't want to ?

You have absolutely no right to say this. We have violated no license, and have given all proper authorship and credits. In addition, while it is most certainly true we have based our rom on MSM-Xtended (and have never once denied it!), we have added a smattering of new features and unbroken things they have broken on our supported devices.
Kindly do not make exaggerated accusations, and if you have something to say, let's discuss it in private, not taking to public forums to complain about someone using your work. Personally if someone based off my work, I'd be complimented
If you want to discuss anything in a constructive manner, my telegram username is linuxandria, otherwise do not further pollute our chatrooms and threads with any more of this nonsense, thanks.
And I'll kindly remind everyone that you have kanged the entire work of either AOSP or LOS and you don't see them coming into your xda threads complaining about using their works without violating any licenses and maintaining proper authorship.
Regards

Keep circlejerking yourself with all the alt accounts you have "Jan". I don't plan on helping people for things that are already answered 10s of times in this forum.

You do the same in the TG group . But you feel comfortable there because there's no one there to tell you that you're writing nonsense.

You know what I'm talking about, Mr. "Senior Developer" (your words ).
But I don't care, I'm done experimenting, I gave one phone to my granddaughter, and sold the other, so you can post whatever you want here (also your friend Frax3r).
Good night!

P.S.: I'm not saying I won't help people if they're in trouble.
This ROM and patches can work on a Nova3?
Install treble app from playstore and send me a screenshot
I tested this LeaOS ROM on my P20 lite. Is it possible to pass Safetynet without root? In my case Safetynet fails on "CTS profile match". Can we change the CTS fingerprint without to use Magisk/Root?
