UPDATE Nov 2, 2019 =New NON-ROOT method available in post 3
Requires root,Xposed and Nite Mode apk heres the link if your interested
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/official-google-play-store-dark-theme-t3977061
Updated info
Still work on Google Play V17.0.12,
However, Google Play's Setting is now missing the toggle. Good news is I still have Dark mod. Bad news is to get dark mod requires the ability to toggle from Google settings.
Suggested work around (untested), would be to follow the procedure in the above and then turn data off and turn on airplane mode, the unistall Google Play updates reboot wait a few minutes and then Open play store, reconnect , check setting fore theme and togge dark before the play Store updates itself.
NOT TESTED, DO AT YOUR OWN RISK,
I am uncertain if the Xposed model will be updated for high versions of Google Play but if it is that would seem to me a better method.
Google give it and Google take it away
No longer need Xposed or root for Dark mode in Play Store. The app now works as a standalone with new PS udate.

This is how android is loosing control over the applications and app store.
Until a year ago it was really good that if you don't want an update, just turn off the automatic updates from Play Store.
But now, even the play store is crippled and developers have found the way to get their application updated even though you have turned off the automatic updates from play store..
Take for example two very popular applications, Instagram and Facebook Messanger. It is not easy for an android dummy to turn off these applications from updating automatically. You need to dig deep ( which ruins the simplicity and peace of mind ) to turn off the updates.
In Android, control over update is now not limited to Play Store, you need to also search all the option in every single application to find out if they have any option to turn off the auto update buried inside the menu.
Some screenshots that explains the nightmare of app updates:
I control the udpate Automatially or Manually from Play Store
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3895875&stc=1&d=1475750864
Now, I saw that even after turning off automatic updates, facebook and instagram was showing notification every now and then indicating that the application has been updated. Then I saw these. Which are completey independent of Play Store Updates.

My Play Store shows that Instagram was last updated on 4th October. But I just got the notification from Instagram (Internal update) that it was updated. Which made me write this post.

Sammobile has the latest "U" firmware for the T-Mobile Galaxy S7 Edge ending in "QC1". Supposedly it's still marshmallow but it's the latest one for the "U" firmware. I wanted to put this here since I saw a thread for APL4 but not this new version.
Link: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935U/TMB/download/G935UUES4AQC1/126499/
Update: Root is reported to not work with this latest update so staying on APL4 if your rooted or want to root is a smart choice.
This update contains the March 1st, 2017 Security Patch.
Also, Here are links to the latest Google play services and Google Play Store as of 4/23/17.
Google Play Services version 10.5.53(Beta): http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/google-play-services-10-5-53-release/ Note: This one is 440 which is the one for the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Google Play Store v7.7.31.O-all [0] [PR]: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...31-o-all-0-pr-153394623-android-apk-download/
How to install both Play services and Play store: 1. tap to enable unknown sources in Settings -> Lock screen and Security -> Unknown Sources, 2. Download both Google play services and Google Play store from the links above, 3. Install Play services FIRST then after the Google Play store. 4. Notice your being unenrolled from app betas? This is a current bug in the Play Store and to fix it go to Settings -> Applications -> Application manager and once there find the Google play store, tap it, and clear both data and cache and after reopen the Play Store and re accept the terms and conditions and BAM! Bug is fixed.
Note: Google is rolling out a new UI(Look) to the App update page, at this time it's only being rolled out to certain people so some may get it and some may not but eventually it will roll out to everyone.
I'm waiting for the nougat update but thanks for the aportation
Good God. They're never going to realease Nougat for the U
FYI, seems like the root hack is NOT working for this latest firmware anymore. So if you fancy root, might want to stick with

Thanks for the heads up! This is awesome. Looking forward to a clean install eventually.
Hi,
On my Mate 30 Pro (4G) Lio-L29 C432 I cannot have in the same time Android Auto and Autofill with Google or apps related to google locations.
I can install Google services (Googlefier or other method) and Autofill with google works (I can see my passwords).
If I install Android Auto (old version), to run it needs the last version of Android Auto, and it makes update to the last one.
The last version of Android Auto needs the last version of Google Play Services.
The last version of Google Play Services blocks the Autofill with Google. Even it works, after restart I can not access the Passwords (error message:Unavailable because the device is offline).
If I block the Google Services Framework, the Android Auto and Autofill work but apps related to google locations doesn't work anymore.
Doesn`t matter the EMUI, it has the same error (EMUI 10.0 or 10.1 or 11)
Do you have any solution?
On my phone there are now:
-EMUi11.0 .0.175(C432E7R7P4)
- Android Auto v.6.1.610544
-Google Play Services 21.02.14

With the latest app updates, some G-app (like Duo, Keep, …etc) got this message “App won't run without google play services, which are missing from your devices … INSTALL”, even though "Google Play Services" is installed with the latest version. Sometimes games are stuck at the loading screen like “ActionTaima..” because the game can't access Google Services correctly. The workaround solution was to find & revert back to the proper/previous version & Uninstall/re-install them, whenever G-store updates them automatically. It's kinda annoying
After research, trailer & error, I found that updating “Google Services Framework”, does solve this issue. I presume, latest G-app deals with “Android 11+”, therefore, Google Services Framework must be updated in order to match with it.
1) Download Google Services Framework 11-6684105
2) Install & enable Autostart & Reboot your system.
I'm glad to hear any other methods or solutions
I'm not sure if this will help, I recall getting the same problem on my emulators some time back, and was able to resolve it by downloading Google Play Games, and in doing so, that forced the Play Services to update. Maybe it will help?

For android emulator on PC, I believe it should be just fine. If got any issues , just enabling root feature, & try to manipulation with system on emulator or add 3rd party app to modify. FYI, I was using MEmu on PC.

As far as I know, google play services is updatable and google MAP can be used normally.
However, accessing location/map with 3rd app party (such as WhatsApp ...etc ) has multiple scenarios;;
- View "received map" from other == Perfectly Working !!
- Locate your current location == Working ( but a black screen, just point GPS and send ) !!
- Navigate the map to select different location == Not working (Just black screen)
I suggest you open a new thread, so people can hopefully share & react to the issue.
my google services is updated to latest version. still encountering the play services error. google keep and google pay keeps looking for google play services. even mcdonalds app is looking for it.
So the Fire Toolbox ain't working right on the newest firmware 7.3.2.2, among other things broken, I couldn't install the Play Store. Here's how to do it manually.
Download Google Acct Mtg
then DL Google Services Framework
and Google Play Services
Finally Google Play Store
You can install it in the same exact order as above, that way after the Play Store installs, you have the option to open it, and login with your credentials and Then Knock yourself out installing whatever you want!

Hi there, sorry for posting on a slightly older thread. I recently managed to get this working an a friend's HD Fire 10 (2021)... Does anyone know how to get offline navigation to work through Google Maps? I managed to install Maps and it works perfectly while online but as soon as Wifi is rurned off, GPS is lost and I cannot use Maps to navigate. I can only view the steps from "Point A" to "Point B".
Any help would be appreciated.
