Flash Tools - Sony Xperia 10 Plus Guides, News, & Discussion

For now Flashtool does not support the latest phones. Newflasher worked for a few of us here. As always use at your own risk.

Use Flashtools to find the ROM that works for you then flash it in fast boot. Look through some tutorials on how to use it on YouTube

Since TWRP is not official for Xz2c, you will need to rely on custom builds, or build your own. Only one I know of for O is here - https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603893744 - by @MartinX3. It's for a different build, but I think you should be able to update build without wiping data, and be OK. He also has a corresponding ftf here -

What's the FTF? I've been reading the forums and am still unsure as to how to root the phone. I have unlocked the bootloader.
Thanks Levone1

What's the FTF? I am still having difficulty understanding how to root the phone. I have unlocked the bootloader but was hoping you might be able to elaborate further?

Ftf is the flashing file that contains all of the information and files to flash a stock rom on your phone.
To root, just flash the ftf, and then follow the instructions in MartinX3's recovery thread here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...recovery-twrp-3-2-2-0-touch-recovery-t3821597.
To flash the ftf, you need to use Flashtool by Androxyde or Newflasher. They each have their own threads with instructions / support.
If you use Flashtool, you'll need this - https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp.../flashtool-android-pie-52-x-fsc-file-t3896454

You really should read up on the process since bricking a handset is really easy, and your questions show a lack of understanding. TWRP is not a ROM, TWRP is a RECOVERY. Your phone has a bootloader, a recovery and a ROM (the operating system). You can only change operating systems (a different ROM or a rooted ROM) by changing the recovery which enables flashing ROMs, and you can only change the recovery by unlocking the bootloader. Screwing up any of those steps can brick a handset.
XDA is chock full of information and the poster above gave you directions for several helpful threads. Read these carefully and most of your questions will be answered.

Flashtool / Newflasher will put stock rom on your phone, (make it like factory). Everything else is explained in MartinX3's thread.

Question How to get back to Tmobile rom

I converted my tmobile one plus 9 to a global version. When I first tried i ended up with a brick, none of the msm tools worked all giving me the sahara connection error. I ended up being able to use a msm for the one plus 9 pro and then using twrp to flash a none pro rom to get me to a global rom.
I want to go back for a few reasons but whenever i run any tmobile msm tools i get an error say "unsupported target EU". I've tried different drivers with no luck.
Restore OnePlus 9 to Stock via Fastboot Commands
This guide assumes you have the SDK Platform Tools installed and working, along with USB drivers for your device (if needed), and have your full update zip which you've already extracted the payload.bin from, and then dumped the images using...
forum.xda-developers.com
Is the likely answer. Not 100% on that as i haven't tried it. But since msm not working would seem this only option
I looked at that thread, though it seems to need a stock rom or flashable update which I don't believe we have for the TMobile varient

I'm sorry i didn't think to mention, you could try to use the rom included in the t-mobile msm and run it thru payload dumper. Then follow steps in that thread

Broken software

Hey so I bricked my phone, can I somehow repair it?
I did such steps:
I wanted basicly to get back to stock android 10/11 from installed Arrow OS android 12 software.
I tried following this guide : Guide 1
But Emma did not want to install stuff on my phone, so I tried different route which is Guide 2
When I tried guide 2 using sony flash tool provided in that link, after I tried to upload firmware to phone, it stuck at the very beginning.
So stupid me tried to use Xperia Companion repair feature. It said that my phone has to have bootloader locked, so I locked it back with fastboot.
And welp here we are. i don't even get bootloop, just info "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and it won't boot" error message.
Any ideas how to fix it? Or did I mess up completly?
did u test to flashing with new flasher?
What do you mean? I don't understand.
