GadgetShieldz - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Accessories

Hey, i think those skins are promising, but sadly, it don't tell much about the textures differences.
Has anyone used it? Anything to add about if the Lather (for example) feels like it. Or how the sandstone feels.

I've bought a few for my k20s and all of them were standstone black. Fun fact, you get one camera piece even if you don't pay extra for them. Paying extra for them only gets you two more of them with possibly different colors.
I like how they make the phone feel and they add basically a grainy matte finish to what is otherwise glass and metal.

It was a bit tedious to apply the corner parts, but once you have that down it's pretty easy.
I use the skin for 2 reasons
1. It protects the camera, which a case can't help with.
2. It hides the back glass so even if it cracks, I'll never know. I'd rather look away from a problem than have my perfectionism force me to fix it.

Nice, i had a feeling the camera came with the color we buy, i think though i'll buy a red camera "skin" so i can swap on the black for a full black and red.
I think i'll get 3 skins, one the screen protector for the entire phone to keep the original look yet protect it. And a flat back camo.
The full body skin i was in doubt about the Sandstone, Matrix and Carbon. This Sandstone of your look sick, i think i'll pick it

Heya
I've used Gadgetshieldz for my Redmi Note 5. They are good. I have the Matrix one and it is excellent cut and finish is very precise. Not quite sure how to explain it - basically its a matte finish looks like it does on the picture.
I have also tried a brushed metal on in the past this had some problems bending round the curves on the side of the device.
I have a red sandstone camera cover. Looks like it does on the pic above. Only thing I'd add is that the grain of the pattern is finer in real life than you'd expected.
Hope that hopes. Jonathan.

Short Review and Photos of Mesh (Hard Case) Casing

Hello everyone! Just wanted to share this with the people here. Bought an Orange mesh case on ebay via London Magic Store and have been very happy with it. It's so nice that I am considering buying the white and possibly the blue one as well.
It doesn't provide as much protection as the gel cases, but it makes the device easier on the eye. It simply looks sleek.
Now on to the photos:

I hope you found this post useful.
this orange one looks great!
i'll wait until my red one dies, if ever... LOL
have anyone wondered.... Why the hell the cases does not cover the bottom of the phone??????, we just need a pin size hole for the mic
all these slick great looking hybrid (soft/hard) cases are like that... why?
not like we have any connectors there
I thought the mesh cases were the ones with holes in them? Usually, on Ebay, these are just referred to as "rubberized hard back case" or something like that.

But somehow, I prefer the real mesh design (the ones with holes all over) but they don't come in orange.
As for the bottom opening, it's most probably to retain the flexibility of the case, so U can snap in and out easily. Mine came with a hairline crack at the bottom.. but it's a minor thing.. so Im not bothered.

maybe that's the reason
otherwise i can't understand why the soft gel / rubber ones are fully wrapped, but the nice stylish ones are butt naked
i already have a full gel one, it's great for protection, but sometimes it gets a bit on the edge, when the finger is too close to the end of the screen.
so i prefer the stylish models like the orange one, makes using the phone easier, the finger doesn;t get caught in the way of the gel/rubber cases when sliding close to the edge of the screen

Naiveness ;> It's to save money, simple as that. Making a case which covers the top and bottom requires more precision work in order for it to snap in/out easily enough and beside that it also require more material and design work.
Back to topic though, you tricked my expectations Not nice playing with people's mind like that, saying it's a mesh case review when it's not. Anyhow, t'is a nice case, I should be getting the black version within a day or two.
As far as protection goes... Not really expecting much, if any at all. Pretty sure I'll end up buying a case mate tough case or something similar for the scenarios when I know I'll be more likely to drop things. Too bad they're pretty expensive, in comparsion.
but the mesh case and this case is identical
just different colours
the mesh has holes, this one is solid

That's like saying a fish net is the same thing as a hairnet. I'm not reaaally complaining, just nit-picking on the title.

But can U confirm the quality and finishing is identical?
Coz if I'm not wrong, the mesh cases are official Samsung accessory, made by Anycall. There's a shop here (set up by some China nationals) that sell cheap cases and they happened to have something similar to the one shown here, with various colours... They're S$15 and look cheap. Not sure if they are the same.
Do note the price varies alot.. U$11++ for the mesh ones and U$3++ for this with free shipping..
ihave the same case from london magic store but in purple and its great, gives the phone a lot more solid feel without making it too chunky.
also recived an orange mofi case to keep it in and even with the case on it fits in fine, very pleased
Anybody knows if this cases fit Samsung Galaxy SL (i9003)? I would love to buy one, but I don't know if it's going to fit with my phone!
Thank you mates!!
Nice looking case. Im stuck with some half metal half plastic pile of depression that scratches after the slightest graze. Seems like i got what i had for the money......

EXO Skin review (with pictures)

I love skins for my devices. It gives them a custom look while preventing scratches. That is why I jumped at the chance to receive a free EXO skin of my choice. They have quite a variety to choose from on their site. For me, it always comes down the the wood designs, this time I chose the wood grain bubinga. The skin itself also has a slight texture with the wood grain that is a wonderful added touch that makes it feel more true to life. I love dark wood looks, as I currently have a skinomi wood grain skin on my Asus Transformer Prime tablet and keyboard dock.
This is the first skin that I have ever applied with a hot air dryer, and it certainly helps form the skin to the back cover. However, the skin isn't perfect in it's coverage of the back. I lined up the camera, flash, and speaker holes perfectly. What was left was slightly off for the outer edge of the skin. The right side was too close to the edge, while there was still some white showing on the left side. It's not too bad since its barely a millimeter off, but it is definitely something that I noticed.
The rest of the skin went on smoothly, but I was surprised to notice that mine did not come with the home button piece. I most likely wouldn't have kept the piece on anyway depending on if it caused issues with the fingerprint scanner since I use it daily. The sides have stayed in place pretty well over the past few days without any movement or peeling of the edges. Another thing that is slightly off is the top edge of the screen cover. I have the speaker, camera, and sensors aligned properly, but the notification LED cutout is a little lower than where the light is.
The skin itself isn't too thick, but it does make swiping the fingerprint sensor a tiny bit more difficult. I was even able to put a case back on over the skin, albeit with a little difficulty. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the skin, and look forward to more skin choices from EXO skins in the future. Here's hoping this review fixes the slight errors on the back, as well as possibly introducing more wood grain choices.

I really wonder how it would look like when you use skin with wireless charger backcover... (it's a bit thicker than normal backcover) anyway thanks for the review, looking to buy one of these also... Any recommendations for the brand? (currently what I found is exo skin and slickwraps)

That's what I would like to know since I wouldn't be able to get a case that works with the wireless back.

I had one similar (Skinomi) and it doesn't quite fit the wireless back.
The sides are fine but it has trouble covering the corners, they "scrunch" so it's not an even/smooth fit. If you cut slits you maybe able to get it to fit.
I should add that because the sides are ridged and not smooth the side stickers have trouble staying in place if rubbed too much. Particularly around the top/bottom.
-Airax
thanks for the info... i guess i wont be buying it... gosh i hate how wireless charging backcover doesnt have any case >.>
Wow I would probably not have the patience to apply it so gingerly with hair dryers and it would be skewed!
Thanks for the review.
Everyone has their own taste. But yuck.
Reminds me of Walmart furniture with plastic stickon woodgrain.

Rearth Ringke Slim case

I got this case on amazon for $10.99. It comes with a mediocre screen protector.
The case itself is extremely light and fits around the phone securely. It covers every edge which is nice for these light shell cases. The design is similar to OEM look.
The feel is a little slick but better than the phone metal body. I wish it were more rubbery like other slim cases I've had before.
The case I got was gold.

I have the clear one. Love it. It's the only super slim case case I could find that covers all sides and provides a small lip for face down lay on the table protection.
Edit: the black one has a soft touch feel BTW. I have that one on my M8.[emoji16]

Thanks! That's good to know. I was debating on whether to get black or gold and just randomly chose gold.
I wish the screen protector it came with was larger. It doesn't cover the entire surface and it's a weird size in that it doesnt fit the actual screen part of the phone either.

So true! I've placed many screen protectors on phones over the years and this one was by far the worst. It just didn't fit right at all I had to trash it. But it was free so I can't complain too much. I prefer glass ones now anyway.
URL for the case:
http://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Screen...429212145&sr=8-3&keywords=ringke+slim+case+m9
I had gotten the clear one, but I don't recommend it. The cutout for the camera flash is too close, and since the case is clear, the flash will reflect and cause a glare in your photos. The black and gold ones probably don't have this problem though.
Looks really sleek and I kinda like the gold one however it does look like the Huawei Mate 7. Have held this phone with this case and it sure was very light and slim. I agree that it would've been better if the feel is a little more rubbery because I am not that comfortable holding the phone with that case.
I bought this case last month when the phone first came out. I bought the clear one and it was very slim and looked very sharp. This past weekend while walking through a parking lot I went to pull my phone out of my pocket and literally threw it up in the air and it took about a 6 foot bounce off the pavement. The corner of the Ringke case is broken off but there isn't one scratch on my phone.
Now you expect a giant brick of a case like the otterbox to survive these types of falls but I don't expect an Ultra thin case to survive and I was very impressed it was able to protect my phone. Its a good case.
I would'nt had bought this case if I knew it was this slippery lol
I have one in clear and like the way it does not add bulk to the phone at all. You feel like you are holding just the phone and the clear case really shows off the two tone.

White or black phone with a black case?

Hey all!
I'm about to order my Xiaomi Mi4C and I can't decide what color to choose, white or black. I'm usually going with black on all my devices, but now that I'm looking at available cases and I see pictures of a white phone with a black case, I think it looks really nice.
Worth mentioning is that only the backside is white, and the front is still black. So when you're looking at the phone from the front, all you see will be black. But if you look at the phone from behind, you'll see 90% black and some nice details of white.
Below are two images that show what I mean:

Hi,
Where did you find this case?
Found it the Nillkin logo was to small.
Just be aware that "black" isn't really black but more of a dark grey colour. I think it looks good and prefer my phones to be unobtrusive but that's my taste - you may differ.
As for the case, I got the official case from xiaomidevice here. It seems to be genuine and has a nice feel, softer than the polycarbonate back of the actual phone, not unlike the N5. It seems genuine and fits the phone perfectly though it does not protect the top or bottom front edges as it snaps on. This essentially means it's also a Mi 4i cover as it does not have hole specially designed to not cover the IR blaster.
Hope that helps!

Thanks a lot for your information! Ok, I see. Do you mind uploading a photo or two of your phone with the case on? I would greatly appreciate it. All photos I can find is with a white phone, so it would be interesting to see how it looks like with the "black/dark gray" phone and a black case.
I bought a white one because of the same picture ha, the black case fits really well with the white accents .
Also like wingsfortheirsmiles mentioned the mi4c black is more grey than black. If you're planning on using case most of the time I would go with a white phone and a black case
edit:

Thanks @wingsfortheirsmiles for uploading photos of your phone! To be honest, it looks really nice and clean with the "black" phone as well. Uh... I might as well just flip a coin to decide what color to take
Considering I have a black phone right now, and most of my other stuff is black, it might be nice with a change.

Naked/Transparent Full Body Skin Protectors

I've noticed that there are a lot of threads for rugged cases, slim cases, vinyl skins and for people who want to use the phone naked (with Nexus Protect, hopefully ).
But how about covering the phone in a clear, transparent skin to protect the soft alluminium against scratches, while preserving the awesome look and design of the Nexus 6p?
I've found a handful of such skins:

I've got the first Skinomi you listed installed on my aluminum angler while I'm waiting for a dbrand skin to arrive. Although I've used the Skinomi screen protector before, this is my first time using the full body skin. In short, I love it. I typically carry my phone in my front pocket and so far there's been no peeling, scratches, etc... It adds a nice tackiness to the grip. I doubt it provides any drop protection though. Visually, I can't tell there's anything on the phone.
Bought xtremeguard to protect mine while i waited for my vinyl skin. The screen guard had huge cut outs for the speaker and the proximity sensors were covered. That leaves a lot of glass exposed and a black screen on calls.
The back was also poorly cut in terms of fit and finish. There's no skin provided for the visor, and the top edge of aluminum around the visor was completely omitted.
I bought that for $2 back when there was a sale code, but it was definitely not something I would keep on the long term. That being said, the visibility through the skin was quite good after you let the skin settle in about 2 days after installation.

Here you go. I could have aligned the back piece a bit better. It's a little low. I figured I'd just leave it though since I'm expecting a dbrand. Also, there is a skin over the visor as well.
Those pics look pretty darn good actually. I wouldn't mind a clear visor vinyl, but I'm rocking a matte black already.

Yeah, about the only thing they missed was a piece directly above the visor. I tried putting it in the Google Adopted case as well. It barely fit, but I hated the look, so skin only.
Just ordered a Bestskinever full body skin. We'll see if its cut out better than the other ones.
All these other brands seem to share more or less the same cuts, ommiting the strip above the visor, and not really covering "edge-to-edge". Waiting for some company to solve these issues. I'm mostly excited about Slickwrap's Naked series. It had perfect coverage on the HTC one M8
