Aroma has not been updated by its developers for years now. It is obsolescent, and it will not work with many new devices and kernels. If it doesn't work with one recovery on violet, I very much doubt that it would work with any other recovery. It certainly will not work with OrangeFox recovery.
The real solution is for "someone" to resurrect the Aroma project and update it.

[ROM][5.1.1][Discontinued]FlymeOS 5.1.8.22R Beta for Moto G 2013

Hi, guys!
I'm here again to share a ROM (built by my friend) with you
This is a Flyme ROM based on Mokee 5.1 and......
Anyway it's beatiful and easy to use
Read it before you flash:
1.This ROM uses System2Data, which means part of the system is stored in DATA partition, so DON'T wipe data after flash complete, you can do it before flashing
2.List animation is enabled by default, you can close it in settings
3.If camera's display is wrong, choose camera settings-photo size-16:9
4.I strongly recommand to clean app data of "Search", there are some problem with it (due to source code, not my friend!)
This ROM is tested in XT1031, should working in all falcon devices
If you're xt1031, too. You might need to flash the TeleService Patch for Bugme.zip after installation complete, then change cdma subscription to "RUIM/SIM" and reboot to make RIL avialable.
Don't report any bugs or request anything, this project has been stopped for lazy reasons of the author, he may never update this rom anymore.
And I donn't know anything about development, I'm using AOSP7 now

Use philz touch recovery.. TWRP gives that error because the ROM uses system2data, which apparently TWRP doesn't support.
Edit: @JackyGreen Add this to the first post, or we will have this thread inundated with the same question lol

Fastboot flash twrp the same way you did philz. You can also use Flashify app. :good:
Why are you guys are so persistent with screenshots ?
I do have some but I just want to post soon before my hands freeze, this rom is bootable, I've flashed it once and used it for several days, or why would I share it ?

To the creator of this ROM - my device One m7 (int) hboot 1.61, TWRP 3.0.2.0
-Aroma installer is broken - after creating my own Aroma installer, rom installed without a problem.
-Camera app freezes preview after taking a photo,
-Hell lot of blotware
-Portable Hotspot crashes whole system (phone restarts)
It seems Aroma Installer is broken, because I have wiped everything and still don't work.

Well, aroma installer is okay to me. I really don't know why anyone have problem with aroma installer. I flash 10 times on 10 different phones and works without any problems...
Anyway, i think that maybe your phone model is not compatible or maybe your TWRP... Try with different versions and methods...

Aroma cannot be broken. The problem is your phone model or TWRP...
All bugs I guess will be fixed in the next update... I find some minor bugs
Well aroma is broken, when people can't use it...
As i said - tested on twrp from 2.7.1.1 to 3.0.2.0 freezes at 75%, CWM same.
Phone wiped to the buttom of my soul - multiple times.
After cleaning in your rom .zip, and creating new aroma installer I was able to install rom.
And to you all who wants me to send it to you - nope. ROM is buggy as hell . I think it is just generic patchrom port.

Well, thanks to know that. Keep your aroma installer for your self or you could help here someone if needs. Aroma installer is not broken. The problem is your phone I guess. Like I said, this rom has installed more than 10 times on 10 different phones and without any problems..
Search on google to find the reason why aroma installer stops on 75% while flashing.
Well... Hope you will resolve the problem then by yourself . The part of ROM porting is trying to find solution not telling everyone that your ROM is Perfect.
I guess your aroma missunderstud the catalogs. I've removed "NFC" from carrier folder and done some cleaning.

[GUIDE] Install Oreo Custom ROMs via TWRP

Good day to everyone! I wish to provide proper steps on how to install the latest Oreo custom ROMs via TWRP in order to lessen the clutter in the custom ROM threads.
You'll need the following:
Latest TWRP Official (Fastboot TWRP)
Latest TWRP Installer (PERMANENT TWRP)
Considering you already installed TWRP via fastboot, we'll make it so that it will be permanently installed and you will not need to flash TWRP via bootloader again.
Download ROM + GApps (or no gapps if Pixel Experience)
Reboot to latest Official TWRP
Do necessary wipes (FORMAT data if having storage number issue; if not, wipe system/data/cache) then transfer ROM + gapps + magisk to internal/external storage
Flash ROM (don't reboot)
Flash latest TWRP Installer (for Permanent TWRP)
Reboot recovery (no need to transfer slots anymore as TWRP does it automatically)
Flash Gapps + Magisk
Reboot to system
To DIRTY FLASH or update the same ROM with an updated version
Reboot to recovery
Flash ROM
Flash TWRP Installer
Reboot recovery
Flash Gapps + Magisk
Reboot to system
For installing custom kernels
Download custom kernel
Reboot recovery
Flash custom kernel
Reboot to system
All of these has been tried and tested by me already.
Hey , where to flash rom??
As you have written gapps + magisk , gapps + magisk twice

With custom ROMs we have to install Twrp installer every time along with ROM zip, bit awkward.
Is it just me but every time I flash twrp after flashing rom, I got error 20 when flashing gapps. Here's my steps:
- flash rom
- switch partition
- flash twrp
- reboot recovery (or bootloader then flashboot recovery)
- flash gapps -> error 20
Without flashing twrp permanent, I can flash gapps, no error.

Yep. That's because the ROM being flashed overwrites the recovery since there's no recovery partition.

If we need to flash it every time after flash rom so how it's called permanent TWRP I don't understand. That because our device don't have recovery partition? If that so where this TWRP installed ( in which partition)?

It's called permanent twrp because it won't get replaced by built in recovery whenever you reboot to recovery from system. TWRP gets installed within a part of the system partition.

Yes, I certainly use the right one (8.1), that's why I was baffled when twrp says that my device is 7.1.2 every time I tried to flash the 8.1 gapps. Anyway, flashing rom then straightaway followed by gapps and magisk was fine. I can flash twrp installer later on. But I just don't understand why.

Well that's weird. Works for me by flashing Gapps and Magisk after rebooting to recovery since it switches slots when you do that. Did you possibly come from a Nougat ROM which is why that's the error showing up?

I was thinking of that too but no, I was on Oreo Jan built the first time I rooted the phone and flash LOS15.1. Do you think I should at least flash Oreo stock once? Maybe my bootloader is still Nougat

Project Treble Supported Roms with GSI Links

Hi guys, since our device supports project Treble we can flash a Generic System Image(GSI). Many thanks to the developers work on this i hope many members can support them with feedback and donations. By the way our device is supported you can check the list of supported devices for phhusson Roms .

Please give your feedback on tested Roms. Good luck
I wouldn't mind testing these, as I do have TWRP and have my bootloader unlocked, but correct me if I'm wrong, we lose the squeezing function if we flash any of these correct?

Cool, I will add it to the list. Thanks
Ran v17 of Phh-treble earlier this month to get a taste of stock. It was so close to a daily driver back then.
Camera was a bit of a bummer. They said camera2 api was disabled; enabling it and throwing on google cam just caused crashes on launch. Stock camera was pretty potato but worked.
Apart from that I just had an issue with the vibration motor being a bit strange (a bit too aggressive during taps) and the play store not downloading apps (which appears to be fixed in the latest version).
Bluetooth music also appeared to have random cutouts during playback.
Everything else I used appeared to work. No squeeze feature though.
has anyone tried the PixelExperience rom?
Can anyone please write a guide from scratch ?

Ok.. keep checking the thread, it should be done in 2 days or less
Thanks a lot man. This phone is a beast in quality/price when talking about hardware. Costs a bit more than 100€ and has the same hard than others at 180-200€ at least. Bad thing is software but with your TWRP and root everything is possible . Just found what project treble is, amazing possibilities.
Just one question... does your TWRP make proper working backups? Can I trust that a full backup will be loaded correctly after installing any unofficial ROM to go back to stock if necessary? I made once the mistake of relying a TWRP and later I found out that one was ok for flashing but didn't create working backups

Stock rom comes with camera 2 api already enabled (if fails for you, try reflash rom). Just install a gcam and run..
Try the Razor Phone2 gcam here https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/. Give other ones atry if the razor one doesnt work for you
