Hello!! I have one galaxy s6 (sm-g920f) and i try to restore it back to stock but every time i am trying to flash it via odin i am getting this error:sw rev check fail device 4 binary 3.. i have tried with full rom( AP,BL,CP,CSC) with and without pit file and with the rom just with the ap and nothing..i have also tried to flash with kies and smart swich and i am getting the same error... i have done all the wipes from the recovery (twrp) and still nothing.. only if i try to flash a custom rom from twrp will boot...now i am downloading the firmware of my device according to my serial number to flash it.. i also tried the method to flash like if you get sboot.bin error..
Can anyone help me please??:fingers-crossed:
i just flashed it with a full rom but without the bootloader(only ap,csc, modem) and it works!!!
now the problem is that the bootloader is another version from the rom, i cannot see any version of modem, the imei and the product code are blank... i checked them with the phone info app.. now i am downloading the rom with the baseband that shows me the phone info that i have... i also noticed that if i flash a rom which is one file or a rom that is full (bootloader,ap,modem, csc) i am getting error at cm.bin which is on bootloader.. that's why i can install a full rom but without the bootloader file...
Anyone????
i am always getting error at the cm.bin on odin...
i solved my problem by flashing the full stock rom according to the bootloader which was stucked in my phone

HOW DID YOU FLASH IT CAN YOU PLEASE ELABORATE. I have G920P running 6.0.1 and having the same issue while flashing 5.1.1
Cannot downgrade from 6.0.1 to 5.1.1.
SM-G920F, bought with Android 6.0.1. Phone Info says the phone is manufactured in 2016.11.15. Tried flashing same region Android 5.1.1 via Odin and got the "SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 4, BINARY: 3". Managed to reflash 6.0. Is it possible that the newest 6.0.1 (G920FXXS4DPJ2_G920FOXX4DPH1) won't let downgrade?
You can't downgrade the bootloader version. And since the bootloader it's changed at almost every update, you will only be able to install the latest software version for your country.
If all fails, try emergency software recovery from SmartSwitch

Use the firmware for your region, e.g. country of issue and figure out the region code e.g. XFA, XFE, etc.
Ok so I had the same problem as you. When you get this error in download mode, it's because you can't downgrade your bootloader.
The version of TW you're trying to flash has an older bootloader than the bootloader you have already install.
You need to flash the latest version of TW. You can find it on Sammobile or with the soft Samfirm.

Both of you, boot to recovery, factory reset your device, thrn boot to download mode, flash your firmware via Odin, if you still have issues, try these troubleshooting steps for a failed Odin flash.

Hi, I'm trying to downgrade from 7.0 to 6.0.1. Odin keeps failing.
When Odin fails (after NAND write start), I see an error pop up on the Download mode screen (red letters):
SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 6, BINARY: 5
Tried different versions of Odin, and made sure I had a good copy of the right version of firmware from Sammobile.
Any idea if it's possible? Is there another way to do this besides Odin? Phone is not rooted, stock, Knox intact.
I've been off Samsung for a few years, and my memory is spotty... but would it help if I installed a Recovery, then flashed a custom 6.0.1 rom? Or is that also a problem?
Thanks for any help!
Mike

Are any custom rom available for this device? Or at least I can installa another offiial rom with less blootware?
Read to remove these bloatwares
: https://us.norton.com/blog/online-scams/bloatware#
There is no custom rom for you device to date. Please, read the post above.
The problem is that you are using an old firmware. Your phone is up-to-date. I think the only solution is to unistall the bloatwares.
