BLU has released these identical phones for various vendors. They are all rebadged G6.
A7 is for Best Buy, Vivo X5 is for Amazon.
X5 is a new release which was recently on sale for $80.
3GB ram, 64GB rom.
OEM unlocking, bootloader is available.
Would it be difficult to root this phone?

Need help with BLU VIVO X5 to install lineage os / custom rom
Hi,
I just bought a Blu Vivo X5 and would like to install a custom rom, namely lineage os, but I am not sure how to do it. This is my first foray into the Android world and I bought this inexpensive phone from Amazon as a second line/phone just so I could mess around with the software and root it or whatnot. I guess it is kind of new because I can't find any tutorials specifically on this particular Blu phone.
Could anyone please point me in the right direction to load a custom rom on this BLU Vivo X5 phone??
Thanks!!
There is no TWRP for the phone so the best way is to install custom roms are through fastboot. Try flashing Evolution X or Pixel Experience which already include gapps (search XDA for treble roms, make sure you have a back up firmware if the roms don't boot so you can always go back to stock). Download the correct architecture for your phone. Hope this helps

This phone seems pretty locked down.
When running the command "fastboot oem unlock" you get an unknown command error, and the command "fastboot flashing unlock" you get a "remote: Not implement" error. in fact it seems that just about every fastboot command results in an error, besides the reboot commands of course.
running the command "fastboot erase system" results in "FAILED (remote: Flashing Lock Flag is locked. Please unlock it first!)" so it certainly comes locked...
I think we're out of luck here, unless you figured something out, but my research indicates that the phone probably needs some sort of unlock code from the OEM, and that'll probably never happen.

I am running into this exact issue today. I tried so many things but this is the ultimate stopping point for me. It is not drivers, fastboot detects it, but I cannot run this command to unlock it. I contacted Blu over Facebook and they told me I needed to unlock the bootloader. Lol. I sent them your post and told them this is the issue.
I have a Blu G6 and need the stock recovery image. Does anyone know where I can find that?
So I've been trying for about a week trying to get the Blu Vivo x5 bootloader to unlock. I've even found specific unlock commands to the blu phones, but none worked. So I emailed BLU about the Vivo x5 and this is the response:

You can get the phone's bootloader unlocked using this method, probably. I'm on a BLU G5 which has the same SOC & the guy on Reddit was using a BLU Vivo X5. So far though I haven't been able to actually flash anything, but my bootloader is definitely unlocked at least. Apparently he got AOSP 10 running on his though.

This (admittedly very sketchy looking) website has the stock firmware which you can extract the recovery.img from using this tool.

Good afternoon
My device is the alcatel a5 LED (5085y) which has the MT6753 chip and is running android 6.0 and is network unlocked. I have been trying to unlock my bootloader and have tried the usual way of booting into fastboot but when i attempt "adb reboot bootloader" it reboots the phone back to the normal mode.
I have a little understanding of other android devices but i am fairly new to mediatek devices so my question is do they have a fastboot/bootloader mode and if they do is there any other step i need to do besides setting the allow oem unlock setting in the developer options?
I am trying to unlock the bootloader so i can then try to port twrp and then root my device and the only available online guides all require using fastboot so am at a loss
thank you in advance for any information/help
Is no one able to shed a little light on my problem. I have recently acquired the auth file for my device and scatter file to use with sp flash tool which would I be right in it being able to flash a custom recovery without unlocking the bootloader
wow i cant believe how helpful (sarcasm) the forums have become in my 10 years of being a member, i am more than certain that someone can shed a little light on my issue.

Unfortunately i have had no look as of yet, I know that it should be possible using flashtool to flash a custom recovery, as it has a secure boot/locked bootloader it will require a special DA.BIN file (downloader file for flashtool), i have extracted all the files from the official firmware recovery software and obtained some DA.BIN files but i think that they are wrote some sort of protection to stop them being used in spflashtool, this is something im looking into and if i gain any progress i will write here
Solved!
Firstly, I apologize for basic English, but it is not my first language.
I am desperate and urgently needing help.
I made the mistake of flash the Global rom 10.1.1 in a Chinese ver. and locking the bootloader through MI flash tools.
The result was a Bootloop to recovery.
Already tried:
Re-unlock the bootloader
- I get the message "Wait 30 days to unlock another device".
Install through recovery using Mi Pc suite 3.0 beta.
-With stable version 10.2.2 I receive the message "error install the latest version"
- With version Dev 9.1.14 "error to install the dev version download on the official website"
Finally in EDL mode with Miflash tools ver. 2018
- I get the message that I am not have permissions to flash any of the Roms above.
Can someone please help me, through some unknown process or through authentication my ID 1683581889.
Many thanks in advance.
Short tutorial
1- Start your device in EDL mode "test point" by : https://en.miui.com/thread-5293017-1-1.html .
2- Download TeamViewer 14.x.x, MIFlash tools 2018 and last version of the fastboot Rom "Dev or Stable".
3- get in touch with this guy " https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=5189577 " .
the man is a legend in 3min your device will be restored.

If you flashed the Global rom on the Chinese model phone and locked the bootloader you'll have yourself a nice paper weight
I hope not,
When I did the flash, had the pc connected to a smarttv, due to high resolution the option "clean all and lock" was hidden. which led to screw up.
You need to reflash the stock Chinese firmware with Xiaomi's firmware flashing tool. If you unlocked your device through the official app, it will be able to re-unlock the bootloader to flash it.
It was my first choice. Tried with:
Miflash 3.0/3.x, Miflash pro 3.x, XiaoMiflash, XiaomoABD and always end up with same results " error install the latest version". Maybe i losing something.
With official unlock tool i get message "Wait 30 days to unlock another device".
Maybe because i unlink my account before,
the idea was return to full stock to resell the device.

At this moment, the device is disassembled in the EDL mode.
But when I try to flash a Rom I'm getting the message, that my ID does not have permissions to flash.

Unlinking your account removes your ability to re-unlock your bootloader necause that devices bootloader unlock was tied to your account.

And now because you can't boot phone to connect account to phone it's a paper weight. Not sure what else you can do.
You could try using the standard fastboot from google and running through the scripts provided by Xiaomi to try to flash, even though the BL is locked. You might be able to fix it that way. What I would do is connect the phone, hold down VOL Down + Power til you get Fastboot mode, and then try running through the fastboot lines one at a time in the Xiaomi script.
As others have mentioned, you have created a brick. Whatever you choose to do at this point is up to you, and you certainly could make your situation worse. If you live in a country that Xiaomi supports, you could get the device to a service center and they can almost certainly fix it. I am looking into Qualcomm EDL stuff on this device, and am hopeful that I can find a way to change the hardware origin flags at a hardware level. Nothing concrete yet though.
Edit: for clarity: I'm saying flash a CN STABLE version from fastboot, over the global version.

Sorry, but it's not my point of view, please understand.
So far U-Unlocker was unknown company I'm afraid to spend another 25 $ for nothing.
So far I'm losing $ 500 "device cost" I do not want to waste more money on a device that is device that is destined for resale.

That doesn't make much sense.
If you do nothing you lose $500, phone in current state has no resale value.
If you spend $25 you could potentially get your phone back to a working state with a few hundred value

I am trying to unlock my nord ce 2 bootloader but everytime I try to access bootloader mode, it says something like Unlock_Verify_device ok and then reboots
how can I unlock the bootloader? Same happens on my nord 2. Oem unlocking is enabled and I have no selection of advanched startup options. I have magisk boot.img to flash
Can't say I experienced that myself. The message you got looks promising. The 'unlock_verify_device ok' message means you're getting to fastboot. But I'm not sure why it's rebooting. Do you have enough time to run the command 'fastboot devices'?
Also, what version is your firmware?
Here is the guide I used when I was unlocking the bootloader: https://www.droidwin.com/how-to-unlock-bootloader-on-oneplus-nord-ce-2/
I am running android 12 beta on oxygenos
Edit: fastboot doesn´t even find the device
Oh, now it tells that serial is not match. what's going on?
so? Can anyone help? Phone keeps saying that serial is not match and then reboots. Is this phone just a joke or something? Gonna buy samsung if yes.
What model is your phone? I wasn't aware of the Android 12 beta being available for the Nord CE 2. Another thing to try is this tutorial to manually install the OnePlus drivers: https://www.droidwin.com/fix-android-device-not-showing-in-fastboot-mode/
Was looking on the nord ce 1 xda Forum. It's only recently that a few roms and twrp are starting to appear, so there is hope. IMO oneplus need to take £$50 off the price, more users = more chance of getting more development

Hi everyone, any update on this? Did someone manage to unlock the bootloader?
If I'm not mistaken. You can rollback to android 11 to get it back.
I'm currently facing the same problem, so I tried rolling back and have downloaded over 20 rollback zips now, and extracted them. All won't work, it reboots in recovery. And it is like fastboot just doesn't exist. So yeah they probably messed it up.
I'm so sad, I switched from Iphone to Oneplus partly because of the rooting options. So sad
Can I do this trough adb or not?

You don't extract it though. You just rename it by removing the _Rollback at the end.

Hi everyone, to add some background I am fairly familiar with flashing this device as I have had it for 3 years and have done a lot of tinkering with it. However this does not mean I am good, and I have definitely soft bricked this phone a lot over the years, but today I think I finally hard bricked it.
Basically, I was using stock MIUI but with TWRP recovery and wanted to add my card to Google Pay, however it said my device was not secure (or something) so I thought it must be because I don't have fully stock MIUI. So I decided to see some way to return the stock recovery, and after doing 5 minutes of research I saw that I could flash the stock ROM and then through fastboot run "fastboot oem lock" which would reset it to stock. However I definitely did something wrong because after rebooting into recovery it says "The system has been destroyed, Press power button to shutdown", and the phone will not boot normally anymore.
You might now suggest that I should unlock my bootloader again through Mi account, but the problem is that I wasn't logged into my Mi account, so I think this is impossible. I have tried running "fastboot oem unlock", but that obviously returns an error when I tried.
Is there any hope to recover this device or is it gone forever? I would appreciate any advice. If you need more info please just ask.
Thanks!

Had this same problem a few months ago, just try to unlock the phone again using mi unlock. After unlocking quickly install a custom recovery and you should be good.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'm in the process of trying to unlock with mi unlock however it says my account is suspended when I try to log in, I will be trying to recover it but I hope it will not cause any issues with unlocking the phone if I change the phone number as part of the recovery process.

Tablet's OS is Android 11 GO, it got released 2020.
Is "OEM Unlock" option provided in Developer Settings? if so have you turned it on and afterwards rebooted the tablet?
Have you installed the Fastboot driver that's suitable to tablet?
If Fastboot returns "FAILED: (remote: unknown cmd.) " then Fastboot is obviously not supported.

Link is: https://www.needrom.com/download/blu-m8l-2022-m0220w/
Since idk if the link will be redacted or edited out, you can also google needrom and M0220WW
Be carefull when downloading the fireware for the M8L and pay close attention to the version your needing. From all that I gathered, there are mutiple versions...M0170WW, M0171WW, M0173WW, M0174WW, and the one I have that I have yet to find anywhere on the net. Its the most recent ..the M0176UU. If anyone happens to have this version, please make a full backup image and post it here. Thank you
