VZW Pixel 2 on Android 10 // MyVerizon is not installed
When I connect to my employers wifi network for personal devices I do the following:
Select "Do not validate" for the CA certificate
Enter my username
Enter my password
Select "Connect"The phone then connects with the network, and reports that it's "Connected, no internet" and falls back on VZW data.
Per the IT helpdesk, I'm not being locked out or denied, and I confirmed this with an iPad connected to the same wifi using the same account a few inches away.
I've forgotten the network and rebooted and tried entering my username as the name only, the extended email address version ([email protected]), and with the domain name preceding it (domain/username). it al comes back the same.
The wifi network is a large corporate mesh network, my phone reports it is on 5 GHz and using WPA/WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise.
What else can I try to get connected? IT is "sorry" but "that's all we know."
You could try resetting network preferences located in the same place as your factory reset. It will reset wifi, Bluetooth and all. May help. It has for a few with signal issues.
So the "Firewall" team commented a cross post on our company Yammer... Apparently they block all private DNS, so I had to turn that off in the advanced network settings.

I need some assistance on setting up VPN access to my corporate network on my X 7510. I am technologically barely savvy. I am a business user of my X 7510.
Can someone please help me in configuring my device to access my corporate VPN?
The following describes my attempts to configure the VPN settings using the standard VPN configuration available on the device:
I am using the settings given by my network team. We are using a pre-shared key and no certificates. Our corporate VPN uses CISCO ASA 5520. When I setup the VPN there is an "Advanced" option that asks for certain server IP addresses. Our network team says that this need not be used.
I am trying to connect over a GPRS network. The most frustrating part is that the IT Manager uses an iPhone and he downloaded a VPN client for 9 dollars from the Apple Store and it works beautifully !!!
But I am not able to connect and I get an error message that says that there is a problem with my user name and password. The message asks me to turn off and turn on my device to see if that fixes my problem. But it does not.
I have triple checked all the setting details with our network team and all the data are correct. My network team can monitor connection attempts and they say that they are not even able to see any connection atempts from my device.
Can somone please help me?
I Think it depends on the rom you use. If that vpn package is there.
I also have a problem with my VPN on x7510. I think I get all the settings right because it says I am connected to my corporate network. Our network administrator from the network monitoring desk actually sees me connected. But I cannot access any application on the network, not even my company's intranet homepage.
Another irritating part is that when I fire up any application that requires internet access but not VPN - like Nimbuzz, the VPN starts to connect through GPRS - very annoying. So I have now set up the VPN to disallow internet access.

Can you please share how u have setup the VPN? I am not even able to connect.
Isn't there anybody else here who can assist?
My roms have vpn capabilities, if you go to connection at the bottom it has "set up vpn" (or something like that)
I'm posting on behalf of the girlfriend, shes just been given this phone (I know its old) as her other phone broke, she's wondering what are the internet settings for this as we have both scowerd the internet for this and everything we tried didn't work even the settings from o2 didn't work and the customer service had question marks above there heads. I'm pretty much stumped on this one
I'm probably doing everything wrong so I thought I'd come here and ask for help as there isn't any shame in that
the way it goes is,
Description: "o2 GPRS"
Connects to: "WAP Network" (there's a choice of 4 I think)
Access point: "payandgo.o2.co.uk"
User name: "payandgo"
Password: "password"
Primary DNS: "0.0.0.0"
Secondary DNS: "0.0.0.0"
IP address: "193.113.200.195"

if manually or automatically put in it either says
“Unable to
connect. Verify
your Dial-up or
proxy settings are
correct, and try
again.”
or
The phone is
unable to connect
to the Internet

even if she has full signal (she has free internet on the tariff shes on) any help would get her off my back :L
Dear All,
I have just bought the Samsung Galaxy Core GT-I8262 two days back. I have setup almost all necessary software using my mobile service provider's 3G network. However, I am unable to setup the wifi. The scenario is - when I am searching available wifi networks through my phone, it is detecting all the available networks among which I am choosing the unprotected one and the phone is getting connected to that w/o any problem. However, all the available wifi network that I may use requires proxy server to access to the internet. So, I am going to wifi setup menu and trying to "modify network config". There when I am selecting the "manual" option under "proxy settings", the "save" button is getting disabled an I am unable to proceed.
What should I do in this circumstance where the Wifi network requires proxy servers. Please help me.

Maybe you should use the proxy in
accordance with the wifi.
Yup agree, you will have to use the same proxy and port number as that of the wifi.
Hi,
In the office i have free Wi-Fi network which needs verification (username and password) to let you enter the web. With my previous phones (Samsung, Sony etc) when phone took IP address from this network a pop up google chrome (or other web browser) window opened to the page in which i have to put my username and password to connect to the web.
With Mi4c i do the same thing but the only thing that happens after connecting to the network is to see for less than a second a blank page and then goes back to the Wi_Fi settings screen. It shows that the phone is connected to the network but i can not reach the web. I tried to open the verification page manually but it says that there is no connection.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I have the WiFi K1. When I'm at work - I can choose 2 different WiFi networks to connect to - 1 is guest access and is unsecured, the other is a secured network which is for employees and their personal devices. Up until today there was no issue. I was able to connect to the secure WiFi network using my ID and password. Yesterday afternoon my password changed. So this morning, I "forget" the network, then reselect it, add my ID and my new password. But the "connect" button stays grayed out and I can't tap it to connect. I went into the reset settings to reset all the network settings - that didn't work.
Anyone have any ideas why the "connect" button is staying grayed out and/or what I can do to try to resolve it? I have a OnePlus 3 cell phone - and that hasn't had an issue - I was able to connect this morning using my new password.
Thanks ..
