BT call audio not working, conversation comes thru driver side tweeter??? - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

Hey all,
I have the newest Sony Android auto/apple carplay head unit. All was working fine up until about 2 months ago..
* Head unit: Sony XAV-AX5000. Latest updates installed
* Phone OnePlus 7 pro on Android 10 beta
BT music has always worked. The issue is that when calls come in, the audio is routed to only the driver side tweeter. The caller cannot hear me.
Google is useless troubleshooting this so I came here to ask if anyone has come across this before and if they've come across a fix?
A possibility is that the head unit doesn't like the OnePlus phone, however haven't been able to confirm this..
Thanks in advance!

Best to post in the appropriate forums. This are is for MTCD devices which your Sony is not.
Have you tried reaching out to Sony?

Android Auto on Galaxy S6

Hi All,
I've just gotten a car with native Android Auto support and I was looking forward to using this.
During the test drive in October 2015 (still on 5.1.1) I managed to get it working but sadly in my new car it's not working.
Due to the great number of variables I'd like to hear your experiences as well. I've tried Noble Rom and Extrestolite with similar results. The android auto app setup screen appears very briefly and then crashes back to the home screen.
I've also tried multiple USB cords to make sure this isn't the problem.
My car is a Skoda Superb with the Columbus infotainment system. This same system is used in various Volkswagen, Skoda and Seat cars.
I would really like to hear if you managed to get Android Auto working, on what radio / head unit and what rom and Android version.
If you had to do any extra steps to get it to work, please let me know too.
Thanks!

Thanks for the help. In the end the solution was both simple and insane.
Turns out it was a problem with the time setting. Even though my car had the correct time set I had to go into the settings of the car and set it to Auto (GPS) and set the correct time zone.
After that it started working and has been working consistently.

No "Media Audio" option when connected to my car by bluetooth

Hi All,
I'm having trouble with Bluetooth on my v10. I've looked through the forums but haven't seen any people with an issue quite like mine.
My car is a Hyundai and the radio was updated to the latest software about 6 months ago. The phone will pair fine and works perfectly for phone calls but I can't get it to play audio over bluetooth. In the bluetooth menu the "Media Option" check box is not visible at all. The particularly weird part is that while the audio still comes out of the phone the rest of the bluetooth features will work, I can change the song with the radio controls and the Artist/Title are displayed on the radio.
It works great with my soundbar, alarm clock, portable speaker, and my moms Dodge truck. That would lead me to believe it's the car however I never had any issues with my gs5 for a year and a half. I tried it with two different iphones and my roommates G4 and all of them worked perfectly.
My phone is an h900 on 5.1.1 rooted(had the same issue before root).
I'm at a loss here. Any ideas? Thanks.
I have a bug report w/ google on this. Please take a look and chime in to get them to fix this. https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=221322&thanks=221322&ts=1472583426
Im going to guess you have a 2011 to 2013 hyundai right? Probably with navi?
So google is blaming samsung of course so I have an email into them. Their chat was useless.
Your device is using Samsung's heavily customised version of Android which this website has no visibility of so cannot support. You need to speak to Samsung for user support and issues with their devices and their software. Thanks.

bluetooth no call audio pixel

I used to be able to hear calls and media whilst connected to bluetooth in my car. one day it just stopped working. media still works but when i make a call or receive one, there's no audio. calls ,audio, and contacts are all checked in bluetooth settings. i've forgotten devices, rebooted, reconnecting, and nothing helps.
bluetooth connects to everything fine, but no call sound over any accessory i try. got a new car and it won't work in there either. i'm on android 7.1.2 .
searched all over and plenty of people are having these issues but none of the posts i've read solve my problem. any help would be appreciated
Hey hey, I have a 128GB pixel with the same issue. I actually opened a case with Google support today about it. about 3 months back, only phone audio stopped working in my car. I was hoping the 8.0 update would fix it but it did not. I have a 2017 Honda Civic LX. I tried everything on my phone - even factory reset. Media audio works, I can play Spotify just fine but when i get a call, I can not hear the other person and they cannot hear me. The phone indicates it is connected via bluethooth... I'll try to update this post with what they find.

128G pixel here. This happens with every Bluetooth device I connect it to. 2 car stereos, 2 speakers, and a headset. All worked fine and suddenly one day... Didn't. I was hoping O Would fix it with all the Bluetooth bug fixes and changes they implemented.

Darn, so the issue is a bit different. Mine works fine on a couple of other speakers I have.
Did anyone ever solve this? I've got the same issue, but it effects *all* my Bluetooth devices, but only when I am switched to my secondary user profile.
I've reset the phone app but no dice.
My phone will say it is connected to the Bluetooth device for the phone call. If I switch to speaker or phone and then back to Bluetooth, it works. Anyone else have similar?

Hi!
After hours of Googling you are the first I found who has the same error.
I have a Lenovo TAB4 8+, my kid wants to use Zoom and his Bluetooth headset but only the speaker and mic on the tablet works. I tried fresh install, without luck:
There are 4 type of users:
- Owner (primary - this is the only profile which works for calls on bluetooth headset)
- Standard Users (secondary - bt headset only supports listening: Spotify etc..)
- Child (bt headset only supports listening: Spotify etc..)
- Guest
The bluetooth headset is working with other devices, but not with this one. Unfortunately I have no other android device which supports multi-user.
Moreover, there was an hour when bt call worked from secondary user, but couldn't find out what is the problem.
Can anybody help me on this?
Best regards,
Karoly

Bluetooth Meda not working with 2015 Cadillac Cue (SRX)

I'm pretty happy with the phone overall but I can not get Bluetooth media audio to playback on my 2015 Cadillac SRX (generation before Android Auto).
Phone connection is working fine. The phone is paired and Media audio is enabled on the phone. In the car when I try to select the source it just says "No other sources found" (though it does say the phone is connected).
Cue Versions:
Software Info: 23228505
HMI Build (from Home+Vol Down): GMG2_14.0F105
Phone is running Pie v1.11.
Any other Cue users out there? Is it working? What version is your car at ?
I recently had the same issue with 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander SE (suv). I got this phone one week ago and I couldn't play the media over the bluetooth even though bluetooth on my phone said it's connected (Hand Free System- Connected). On the infotainment screen, it said no connected device which is weird. I hope there is solution to this issue.
Thanks for chiming in, crazy1990. I did also post in the ZTE forum. Maybe it'll get some attention there. Guess I could also contact customer service directly.
In the meantime I did order this so I can get audio (through the AUX port) while keeping the phone charged:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S33GV3V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hmmm, it worked fine the first time I used it, the 2nd time the phone did charge. I'll play with it some more.
Just a follow-up... Received the Android 10 update from ZTE on Friday and the Bluetooth media problem with the 2015 Cadillac Cue is fixed.
Hopefully this will help crazy1990 too.
That's good to hear! I live in the US, so I don't know when the update is coming and I am waiting for it.
Hello, I received android 10 update few days ago. I confirmed that Bluetooth media streaming is fixed.

Question T'Eyes CC3 Phone and Bluetooth NEEDS to be replaced. HELP!!!!!

OK!!!!! PLEASE help me oh geniuses of the XDA! I have the T'Eyes head unit for my car. The Bluetooth app sucks and the phone app REALLY sucks. Are there trusted apps to replace the Bluetooth manager and phone. I don't know if I'm wording my searches wrong or what, but I can't find anyting. Is there a phone app that you can install on one android device, and control the phone dialing and audio on another? I don't need Wi-Fi calling or google voice or anything like that. I want to control phone calls from the head unit that are coming from my phone. Thank You in advance!
Try reading to end of this thread but BT is not good on these HU.
Are there any Bluetooth client apps that aren't terrible?
I've installed I think around 7 android headunits and every single one has had a Bluetooth phone app that was bad to use. Last year I tried to find a better one, without luck. Any recommendations?
