Flashing Instruction
Always Have a full functional Backup. Just in case!
First time installing crDroid to your Redmi Note 4, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery ( TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
You need to flash GApps every-time you flash the ROM.
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files

Very good ROM! Best 8.1 i've tried! Every thing works fine for me. Root with magisk, instal viperfx... UI is really good (I love the wite and blue style!) thank you very mutch!

Nice to see crdroid oreo. Lots of bugs as expected since this is a beta -
1. No settings for hardware button
2. Phone bootloops if you edit QS tiles.
3. Faced 1 network reset.
Excited to see this ROM being maintained as well as the Nougat build!

bro please understand the things. u have encrypted ur phone, thats why it is asking password for every boot. the only fix is to completely format ur device. and to avoid encryption in future always make sure that u r not setting password at the setup wizard time.
make sure u transfered the necessary files to an external drive before going for complete format.

You appear to have misunderstood, sir/ma'am. Violet is the codename for redmi note 7 pro. On the other hand, neptune blue is one of the 3 colours redmi note 7 pro is available in. Redmi note 7 pro does not come with a violet colour variant.

Don't install it, it is for Redmi note 7 'pro'.
Check in RN7 thread for available roms. And code name for RN7 is lavender.

I was using Crdroid on OnePlus 5 before moving to Redmi Note 7 pro. I absolutely loved the ringtone in the rom and would like to use it in Redmi Note 7 ..Can anyone give me link to download the same?

Is the whatsapp QR scanner working properly? I'd switch to this in a heartbeat if it is.

At 9:30pm today I can finally unlock; its either this or havok for me to try.. leaning towards this because of FB not working on havok.. it works on this one right?

Successfully installed this rom... got destroyed system though and a mess, needed to go back to miui and try again and I thought I really prepared too.
One issue that's unrelated that maybe someone else has run into.. i'm getting within Titanium backup that no folders are writeable. Anyone know how to fix this?
Also, upon connecting to play store the camera updates and becomes unuseable... just a black screen

Pre requirements
1. You need to unlock bootloader
2. TWRP
3. Q baseband [Tested on CTC7 Baseband]
3. Tested on N970F Device with Exynos Soc
Link to download Rom https://sourceforge.net/projects/treblerom/files/crDRom/ and select ARM64AB
Instructions:
1. Enter in Recovery (Turn off device, hold volume + button and bixby button at the same time)
2. Go to Wipe and slide to swipe to factory reset
3. Go to Install and select "Install Image" and select the rom crdroid-6.5-arm64ab-200423-vanilla-v215.image an then select partion to flash image" chose as system image and slide co confirm flash
4. Reboot and configure the Rom
5. Enter in Recovery again to install the gapps https://opengapps.org/
6. Go to Advance wipe and select system and press the button " Repair or chanfe File System"
7. Go to main menu and select the gapps to install
8. Reboot and Enjoy

Flash TWRP is working, but every time when I want to boot after installing GSI.... stuck in boot logo. I will ask that in the right thread and not here. It has something to do with my knowledge and vbmeta.

Stuck on logo if not wrong is need to Formatt system

Very nice, used CrDroid on many previous devices.

How is the audio compared with one ui cuz last time i used lineage os 17.1 audio was terrible which made me switch back to stock

First reboot once if still don't work then follow this process:
-Go to twrp
-Connec to PC and open cmd in platform tools folder
-then type: adb devices (you will get something like this "acbdef Recovery" )
-then type below commands one by one:
adb shell
mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/vendor /vendor
echo 1 > /proc/touchpanel/tp_fw_update
enjoy now it will work.

Dude why you are patching two slot? Just patch inactive and leave alone twrp.So we can dualboot this masterpeace of your work.My dualboot messed up.Rom is working good on slot B but my oos on slot A ruined.Also its data partition corrupted.Please reconsider your work for dualboot twrp.

It's actually a Pixel ROM, I have the Pixel 2 XL too and haven't noticed a difference as if I were inside a Pixel ROM!

It downloads Magisk 21.0
And after install in twrp 3.4.0.1 it boots into bootloader
Last thing to try is patching boot image
Hope it works

I installed magisk 21.0 stable and works very well.

Yes, device is Certified. I can install them.

Fingerprint dont work in banks apps

I can't connect to Wi-Fi for some reason. I can scan for networks and I see them, but when I enter my password, it just says "Obtaining IP Address..." and then doesn't connect at all. I checked the router, tried with my other phone, connected from this phone on another ROM, but it doesn't work only on this ROM. I like it a lot otherwise.

I have no problem whatsover with bank apps or wifi. My router is at 5GHz and works fine.

Idk, it's weird. I accidentally opened the wayne thread for the ROM and I saw someone have the same issue as me. I've tried both 2.4 and 5GHz Wi-Fi + a hotspot from another device, no luck tho.

I'm not sure, but I think I am, because I've tried three more Android 11 ROMs and they all have working Wi-Fi.

Got it! I thought I was all good, but I installed the latest stock update, and then this one, and it works! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
