Hi everyone!
I have a Asus ZF3U ZU680KL that has a problem with its speakerphone microphone. I would like to buy both the top and bottom microphone replacements but cannot find any sellers anywhere and it appears parts are very hard to get hold of for this model.
If anyone has a damaged/non-working Asus ZF3U with salvageable parts or you have the specific parts I require for this model, then please message me with details of how you can help. I could either purchase the specific parts I need or purchase the complete phone for parts etc….
If I cannot find the speakerphone microphone (top microphone), I may eventually sell my ZF3U on eBay or locally. It has its original box and unused box contents.
Also, if anyone located in Taiwan or another country has the 128gb model, of this phone in Glacier White or Titanium Grey, then do please get in touch with me as would like to buy one or more if priced reasonably.
Thank You in advance!

I somehow cracked the gorilla glass on my transformer this morning. I know how to replace the screen but I can't for the life of me find any parts for it. I have been looking for the past hour. Is there anyone who knows where I would get replacement parts, specifically the touch digitizer???
I really don't want to buy a new transformer.
My friend your SOL, I looked for over a month for a replacement for my Asus eee T101mt and nothing. I finnily just bought another one and sent back the broken one..
Well that was kind of what I expected to hear. What kind of company makes a product but doesn't make parts to fix it, I'm pissed. Thats like Ford putting out a car and when you blow the engine they don't sell the parts to fix it.
If they make it than it will show up here :
http://www.asusparts.eu/index.php?cPath=66920_222155
there are not so many parts yet
I broke my glass but had the SquareTrade warranty - sent it off to be fixed and a week later they told me they couldn't get the glass (they only will wait 5 days) so they just reimbursed me my purchase price. I don't think it's available anywhere yet but you could call Professional Satellite Repair at 814-342-5635 and check to see if they know when it might be available. That's where SquareTrade had me send it. - sheureka

Will Asus provide shipping outside EU to Asia??

They should, I wouldn't see why not
wrong Post
The original thread was for a touch screen for an Asus t101mt.
The link you have above is not for the T101MT is for Asus Case parts and screen bezel. ASSus does not sell the touch screen at all. Thus the bug hunt.
I have been fishing for some time for a touch screen for the t101mt and found a mfg in china. He wants to sell a 1000 touch screens at a time Though
Here is a buisiness opp for someone. I would gladly buy a replacement TS. I dont know how many others there are out there needing the same.
The quote below is from the sales rep..
-------------------
If you need a quotation. You need to provide the following stuff and information.
1. Send us minimum one unit sample of the touch screen kit. No matter ASUS, Sony, Samsung, we don't know what they are.
2. Type of IC driver (Example: FocalTech, Goodix, Solomon, etc.)
3. Type of solution (Allwinner Technology, InfoTM Microelectronics, Rockchip, Samsung, VIA, etc.)
--------------------
Does anyone have the technical specs for the touch screen ??
Did anyone manage to order and replace digitizer on T101MT?
I asked official Asus repair service and they offer LCD + digitizer for $180.
The switch on my Galaxy Tab P1000 has broken. It is depressed and no longer clicks. I am looking for a replacement but all of the sites I find are in China. Does anyone know of a good vendor in the US that sells parts for my Tab?
Thanks,
Eeyore58
I'm from the UK but I would think Asia is your best bet. I have a few p1000s and never taken one apart. But from an electronics stand its a button not a switch so it is quite simple to look at and see why it's not working... perhaps you don't need to replace?

P1000 switch
Deanwray,
The buttons for the on/off and volume control functions are tiny dome switches that are mounted on a flexible cable. The buttons/switches are not repairable. The cable and buttons/switches must be replaced as a whole item.
I was hoping to find a vendor close by so that I would not have to wait the 3-4 weeks that it takes to get to me in California. But I did a better search on eBay and found a seller in the UK that is cheap ($3.09) and indicates that it would take about a week to arrive here. So I will try them instead of China.
Thanks for the email,

Hi. Like many, I bought a Chinese version of Mate 9 (MHA-AL00) because it has superior specs. Unfortunately, the phone was dropped and I now have a small crack in screen and scratch on bottom side near speakers. What is the best way to get this repaired? Is there any place in the US that will service this phone? I contacted Huawei in US and they won't touch it. I asked if they could order the parts and have it fixed. I will pay for it and they said the phone is too different for them to repair. The reasoning escapes me here... Any help here would be appreciated! Thanks!

As I have done I'd order a replacement screen with or without frame online and replace it myself.

Hi. I've looked into this my self and while I can find a screen, I can't seem to find the side rim for the Mocha Brown. If you have a link would you please provide it. Also, did you find OEM parts?
Thanks!

I got this one in Mocha gold. Not quite sure what you mean by 'side rim' Any parts for that phone you could ever possibly need you'll find on AliExpress, I even found a replacement camera there!

Make sure you get screen with assembly. Worth every penny
Like above post, aliexpress got the battery covers. Waiting on my black one to arrive.

Hi. Is this genuine Huawei parts? Also is Huawei logo on front? By side rim I meant the outer side of frame. Like along where the speakers and buttons are. Thanks!

Do you want your phone fixed, or have genuine parts? I've not seen genuine Huawei parts outside an authorized Huawei repair shop. My replacement screen works though and looks mostly like the original did. Outer frame can be found there as well probably, but I haven't looked yet.

Well, both actually! I want the phone fixed using genuine parts. Currently a Chinese friend is kindly contacting Huawei in China to see if I can mail it to an authorized repair shop there. Unfortunately Huawei US won't touch my phone. I don't understand why Huawei US can't just order the parts from China and fix it for me in US. I can't believe the variants are that different structurally and I'm willing to pay the cost.

Different region have different policy for their phone if there no different why they need to be sell on different model and version as International or Chinese / Asia / Europe. When you buy the chinese version you should know it will not cover any warranty beside Huawei china. Yea because you save few dollars for buying the chinese version and you want to enjoy the full international version benefit? You get what you pay is that hard to understand?

Hi. I think the misunderstanding is on your part. I bought the Chinese version because it has better specs than the one one sold in US. More ram and more memory. Better meets my needs. Not because it is cheaper. Btw, it was more expensive. Second, I fully understand that warranty does not cover Chinese version outside of China. I have been in contact with merchant that sold phone and they can send it to have it repaired by manufacturer. Just want to avoid having to send phone back to China. Would prefer to have official parts mailed to me and have repaired here in US. But to be clear, I am not asking for repair that is covered by warranty. I am asking about a repair that I will fully pay for. Is that hard to understand?

I'm looking for a way to send my phone to China for warranty from Europe. If you have any information or know a third-party that can arrange this, that would be of great help. Thanks

Hi. Your question is the point of this thread! Hopefully we will have an answer we are happy with. I'm still checking on possibilities. I originally bought my phone from Geekbuying. They have offered to send it back to manufacturer for repairs. So you might consider contacting the merchant you bought it from. I am still waiting to hear from my Chinese friend. Once I know more I'll post what I learned.
Hi Guys, i just broke the LCD on my RS988 and I'm Looking for a decent replacement for the screen + digitizer + mid frame, any suggestions ???
Hi I have Titan Gray RS988 in good condition (9/10) and don't need it anymore. Willing to sell it for $40-50 if you trade it. Transaction through swappa.com pm if interested.
From what I remember, there is only one choice in screen - the oem LG screen, and they are cheap.
Now LG may use slightly different variations of screen panel between models so make sure it's specifically for RS988.
That said, you may get unlucky and stumble upon some fake aftermarket variation (though I did not see such when I bought mine) so look at pictures there should be a label that has LG serial number and stuff.
Just look on Aliexpress there should be plenty of real ones, if not all.
Dear reader,
I'm looking at buying a screen for an old S6 (G920F). I cracked the original AMOLED when attempting a charging port PCB replacement. A shame, but that is a common occurrence with this repair attempt. Mainboard still works and it charges the battery now that I have connected the new charging port PCB. I has previously run and functions fine, but could only wireless charge with 5W, which took forever. Hence my repair attempt.
This is not a daily driver, but it would be nice to have it as a backup phone. I am not going to spend $130 on a replacement screen though, so I am looking at several listings on Aliexpress ($30-40). This includes:
- used but burned-in screens (different classes, either white and blue only or also with red burn-in for cheaper ones)
- listed as original (but probably also used)
- listed as new replacement (likely knockoff screens)
All in the same price class.
All will include frame and digitizer + charging PCB, I'm not risking another cracked AMOLED.
Some are clear on their description on being used burned-in screens, but some are not.
I reckon I can't post direct URLs to their listings here, but in case you want to check it out, most are in the top 10 range when arranged by no. of sales.
Does anyone have any experience buying these type of screens off Aliexpress?
In my opinion, the burned-in listings seem most honest and have highest chance of actually being an original screen, instead of a knockoff. I'm cautious about listings that state 'new' or 'replacement' without any mention of burn-ins etc. for that last reason.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards
Why don't you check your local market for defective phones?
Of course, most phones have cracked screens, but with a little patience you may find a bootlooping one or with FRP, no service...
That will surely beat the 30-40 $ of Aliexpress, not to mention possible inconvenience with delivery times (in China Corona-lockdowns are still very popular) and customs.
I have, but there are not that many listings. Most that are, do not state the reason for their defect.
Secondly, it would still be nice to get some answers on the primary question, as it could provide insight on this topic for future scenarios.
Regarding the Ali conditions and circumstances, I have yet to encounter any issues with recent shipments (be it customs or their lockdown protocol. Plus, they often include some kind of warranty (whatever little value it has, still better than none when bought directly second-hand).
Thank you for your reply!
I would look at Amazon for refurbished phones, never buy something at AliExpress
